It's likely there have been threads like this before, but hopefully one or more of these questions are framed in a unique way at least.

Do you believe it is okay to date more than one person at a time? If so, why? If not, why not? Or does it depend on the scenario or circumstance?

Obviously the Bible does not talk about dating. Dating is more of a late 20th-century social construct. So then are there any standards/guidelines that you use to guide you in the dating world? Do you think there is any difference in the way that culture goes about dating and the way that Christians should?

I would say if the person was open to the idea. There are many people who have what is called an "open relationship." In which they were each dating one or more person to see what there chances are starting a relationship. I am not a expert at all in this, but to me this would seem like cheating in a sense if there was only one person dating multiply people.

One date at a time works for me 😂 I'll focus on one person and I'll see if it will work...if not next please 😂 I guess it is hard to decide who you will going to choose if there are five of them all at the same time that's quite a headache 😂

Platonic dates (nothing romantic or affectionate) yes..but romantic dates ...1 at a time..not sure God would call you to date several at a time and all it entails...thats gotta be EXPENSIVE too come to think of it...part of the dating process is to establish trust..hard to do tgat when you know he might be saying things to another the night before that hes saying to you..or kissing etc..no trust..

I wouldn't date more than one person at a time, but that's just me. I don't like to share stories of people I know, but I'll just say that I did know someone who was seeing more than one person at a time and it did end up causing trouble and hurt feelings. I don't even like the person who did it, but I still don't like talking about people. It happened about 30 years ago so it's probably not even relevant.

No. Outta respect for them and myself. Also, so many things can go wrong with having multiple dates.

Two for 99 cents? Where can I get in on this? :D

(Seriously, I want to know where I can find this. I've never seen anything like this. I would tear it up! Best we get around here is on Halloween Sonic has corn dogs 50 cents a piece... and who wants to eat a Sonic corn dog, even two for a dollar?)

Depends on how we define date. Is it ok to have more than one person in your pool of people you would go on a social outing with or even to a discrete one dinner at a time with no further commitment? I don't see too much problem with that. Is it ok to lead someone on to believe that they are your one and only when they aren't? That would be deception and not it's not ok. But too often it seems people have no space between first date and exclusive and that just makes everything more complicated and confusing.

Unless you're in an exclusive relationship, I see no reason not to. Perhaps just make it clear to those involved that you're doing so, finding what's right, nothing serious, etc.

As for me, back in the day, I barely could get 1 guy to ask me out... much less 2 guys! Lol. So it was never an issue.

But I wouldn’t date more than 1 person.

I just thought of something...ive found that a lot of men dont KNOW how to ask or PLAN a date..could it be that could be due to divorce and dads being out of the picture more for whatever reason and not teaching thier sons about relationships etc? Hmmm..just a wondering...

I don't think its wise. What if you start to have feelings for more than one person or more than one person develops feelings for you? Someone's gonna get strung along and hurt.

Absolutely there should be a difference..society says SELF GRATIFICATION..Christians says GOD EDDIFICATION...used to be no dating bout courtship with intent to marry...

Not at the same day ;-)

No. If I date, I date because I have intentions with a guy. It is not right for the guys if I would have done so.And besides I never get a date, so I wouldn't know.

Seems to me that such persons that would do such a thing is really unsure about themselves and are seeking validation about who they really are and what's important to them. These types are to be avoided.
