Do you understand that by insisting that Jesus was not divine you are blaspheming the holy spirit?
Perhaps abandoning Biblioidolatry so as to be devoted to Christ would heal that rift?
That's a strawman argument since that is not my argument. I have argued here for the hypostatic union.

But the virgin birth was different.
Of course it was different. Mary was a virgin. She conceived the Christ before she had sex.

Jesus had to have flesh
Of course.

and he had to have that same nature that Adam and all of mankind have in order to show us how to live by the spirit and not by our souls.
Jesus did not have a sin nature. If he had, he would not have been an acceptable sacrifice for sin.

That's why we have to be born again.
We have to be be born again to be saved.

And he had to come through David's linage.
He did. Mary was a blood descendant of David.

That's why he chose Mary.
God could have chosen anyone who was a blood descendant of David.

He probably looked like Mary.
Maybe, maybe not.

If he didn't have everything in him that we have it would have been a waste of time, and he would have died for nothing. So he had to be just like us in every way, and yet still be God.
Jesus did not have sin in him. He did not have the sin nature all descendants of Adam have. God the Father is his Father, not a human male.

Remember, we are born dead in sin. Jesus was not.

As I have already shown here many times, "without sin" in those old literal equivalent translations means He never sinned not that He didn't share in our mortal sin nature:

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
Hebrews 4:15 NIV
https://bible.com/bible/111/heb.4.15.NIV

As I'm sure you've been told repeatedly, that verse doesn't prove that Jesus had a sin nature. That Jesus "did not sin" is not the question.

The sinful nature is not having sin in you but the damage sin has done to human nature when Adam sinned. It is a non moral weakened condition of human nature which makes us mortal.

Actually, it is having sin in you.

Rom 7:
14) For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15) For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16) If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17) Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

We were sold under sin by Adam. We are born dead in sin. Jesus was not.

We were sold under sin by Adam. We are born dead in sin. Jesus was not.
But not until we reach the age of accountability. Before that we are spiritually alive to God even though we have the sinful nature. Aborted babies and young children who die are in heaven not damned:

Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.

i would like to see that command he is breaking. scripture and verse?

Nobody said Jesus could have sinned. Could He have? :)

You are dismissing Christ's sacrifice if you say he did not have a sin nature. What was God going to prove if Jesus could breeze through here without being tempted to sin.

Heb. 2:17 "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." I think this says sin nature.

I don't believe it was a sinful natural side since He was born sinless [unlike us]. but I do believe He was tempted by all sin to prove we also can overcome any temptation.

i dont see how it proves anything being as, according to this doctrine, He didnt have a sin nature and mankind, has a sin nature. its two different things. it would be like me wearing a bullet proof vest, taking a shot to the chest, and telling you that you can do it to when we both know you dont have the vest like i do.

for one, the seed [Christ] in Mary was from God, not a normal human. nothing of Mary's genetics were a part of Yeshua. He was 100% of God. Mary was just the host. so being born directly of God, He is sinless!!

but He still was tempted as any human being would be tempted. beautiful women, lying, cheating, stealing, Satan offered Him the world in His 40 day fast after being baptized.

He drank the cup to become sin because He never knew sin.

for one, the seed [Christ] in Mary was from God, not a normal human.
in other words not a human being. so what do you do with all those passages that say He was a human being?

nothing of Mary genetics were a part of Yeshua.
then why have Mary in the first place? why not just create Him like Adam was created?

He was 100% of God. Mary was just the host. so being born directly of God, He is sinless!!
we have souls, those souls are 100% of the Most High. yet according to the doctrine we are born with sin. sin inherted from our fathers which again the bible says we dont inherit, we are only responsible for our own actions.

These people who deny anything from Mary in Jesus have no Jesus who was a descendant of David. Sad.

regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David,

excellent responses!!

this is only my opinion like all of my posts. no one knows until we are in Paradise and given all knowledge!!

was He human or not?
He created Adam, who is human from dirt and spit. He created Eve to be able to bare children. He created the reproductive system in all things. therefore, He could place the [[seed of Yeshua]] in Mary like we do in today's world of [vitro fertilization]. after all, He is God!! this still makes Him human, but a sinless human since He is of God [not of man].

why Mary?
because of the prophesies of Isaiah and others concerning the Messiah. but it could have been any young woman. and the word used in Isaiah does not mean virgin, it actually means young woman. [the KJV] is definitely a bad biblical version. the Book of Isaiah was written 1500 years before LATIN was ever spoken [and the LATIN word Lucifer] is in a Hebrew text when Latin did not exist yet].

according to this doctrine His geneology should go from Jesus, skipping Joseph and Mary, and up into the heavens. i guess?? im having a hard time following the logic in this thread, it makes me feel like i been drinking all day or something.

It makes reasonable sense because they are not using reason based on the Bible but based on Calvinism.

i think the question would be, are there two kinds of mankinds? a son of the Most High man, and a man like we are today. Adam was created a son of the Most High, but was a man as well. we know there were big changes after the fall. before he walked with the Most High, walked in the garden, no death, etc. after the fall, bacame like us. if Jesus was the 2nd Adam it makes more sense to me He would have been the same but the events would have been flip flopped. He was born like us, tempted like Adam, resisted what Adam did not, ascended back to the son of the Most High state of being.
