Right. Some people are just meant. But the Bible saySome people are just plain A-moral too.
Did you see what happened to Job?Some people give too much credit and power to the devil and his angels....He can do no more than what God will allow. The Bible says submit to God, Resist the devil and he will flee.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Yeah, but I never saw anything about him getting possessed or anything like the devil taking his soul..have you?Did you see what happened to Job?
He did flee, but Job had to suffer alot of things first. Do you know what the baptism of fire is?Yeah, but I never saw anything about him getting possessed or anything like the devil taking his soul..have you?
When he would not curse God he actually submitted to God and resisted the devil and won that battle in the end... wouldn't you say? So yeah the whole Bible goes hand in hand...Don't it?
So again I say submit to God and resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Baptism of the Holy Ghost. It's what came down on Pentecost. Power from above. He did flee, but Job had to suffer alot of things first. Do you know what the baptism of fire is?
No I said baptism of fireBaptism of the Holy Ghost. It's what came down on Pentecost. Power from above.
We will be tried by fire, but I don't call that a baptism of fire, and I don't no of anywhere that fiery trials is referred to as a baptism of fire in the scripture. I could be wrong, though. If so, kindly point it out to me.No I said baptism of fire
My understanding is that He will baptize you with the Spirit and with fire means with the Spirit and with Power. The Holy Ghost and fire = Power.Matthew 3:11 11"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
This is talking about trials and being tried with fire not a baptism of fire. And the word baptism is not mentioned in that scripture. This is two totally different things from my understanding.1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
The baptism of fore is suffering
John the Baptist is talking about three baptisms. Water, the Holy Spirit and FireThis is talking about trials and being tried with fire not a baptism of fire. And the word baptism is not mentioned in that scripture. This is two totally different things from my understanding.
Jesus gives the Spirit and Power to tread over the enemy. We will still have to face trials and be tried but we are not baptized into them.
Acts 2John the Baptist is talking about three baptisms. Water, the Holy Spirit and Fire
that was the baptism of the Holy SpiritActs 2
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Holy Ghost and firethat was the baptism of the Holy Spirit
From my understanding the Holy ghost and fire are one and the same and fire symbolized power or spiritual gifts .
Holy Ghost and fire
Hmm that does give me something to think about. I've Always thought that the wheat was his children that repent and the chaff was the unrepentant sinners. I think that because of the verses right before the two you posted.Matthew 3:11-17 11"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

Matthew 3
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.[/
