Speak English please? What lie?. I just would be more supportive if people equally critical on all sinners and not just single out a particular group. Like a man that has affairs or a woman that gets drunk at home alone is just as disgusting and just as much a sinner as a fruit in hot pants.

But you are aware that not even in the bible the one character with the "devilish" attributes is not always the same entity?
Somehow throughout the centuries, tradition has painted this single evil character, all thanks to the lack of serious study of what is being peddled in the mainstream. (Yes Christianity is the mainstream, surprise!)
i.e The "devil" in job is not the same as the "devil" in the wilderness tempting Jesus.

Monotheism actually started with Judaism, but since the Jews kept to themselves they really did not evangelize. Joining the Jewish tradition was also very off putting since you had to slice off part of your manhood, and you were not allowed to eat perfectly good food.
Christianity basically tore "Paganism" to pieces. It obliterated the long standing customs in about 300 years or so. Do you want to know why? Even before Constantine and Theodosius I, Christianity was spreading like wild fire. There is quite a bit that can be said historically, but lets just say that Christianity was very appealing to the pagans since it was designed to identify with pagan ideals.
Couple that with fear of eternal punishment, and the "he said she said they said" miracle accounts, and voila, you've got yourself the recipe for world domination.
Many of the converts were the uneducated and of the gullible kind, which make up the majority in society. This led the empire to make some decisions for the sake of not losing grip of the people since Politics and Religion went hand in hand in those days. (Not sure which came first though)
Fast forward almost 400 years, and Rome has made Christianity the official state religion. Protestants somehow think that they are the originally intended "correct" version of Christianity, when in reality there would not even be a Christianity if it wasn't for all of the stories peddled by the wealthy Roman elite.

My uncle is gay. Gays can be some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, just like anyone else. Homosexuality gives off a particular "sense" that is unhealthy and, for a lack of better words, "dark"? This certainly doesn't mean that I hate them. What I can say is that I am concerned for them, but at the same time I know that it isn't 100% true because if I'm not living that particular lifestyle, I feel like it doesn't even concern me and I am best to put it out of my mind. Is this not OK? (Honestly and openly asking. I don't know.)

Being that the English translations are the only ones I can read, I won't dispute with you. It wouldn't be the first time people who didn't know what they were talking about taught people who didn't know any better. Maybe you're right! But do you beleive that the bible is the word of God? Although transcripts have been lost modified and mis-translated.
