if you go back and read his posts before you try to rebuttle my post towards him you would see (assuming you werent being biased) that i was speaking against the false message of the man

i have never and will never speak against a verse

and even now you say "see him attacked for posting a verse"

which isnt true...

so again you still seem confused

i gave you a thumbs down for comments like these

I have read every single post in this thread and I then read them again and I STILL have not seen you show me where the man has said: 1 sin=unsaved (which is what you say he said.) I think if you accuse a man of saying something, you should be able to back it up. AND, I think a man deserves defense when another man says he stated something that he didn't state.

Are you sure I'm the confused one?

If you stop believing in justification through Christ, you never really believed. If one truly believes, they hand everything over to Jesus who will never fail them. They will continue in faith, until they receive their inheritance
The Galatians really believed, yet they were turning away from faith in Christ to another 'gospel' for justification:

"3Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?"-Galatians 3:3
6 "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel"-Galatians 1:6

But you say real believers won't do that.

I believe the Galatians demonstrated outward faith, but inwardly they were unbelievers and their unbelief was exposed

That is not true; it is from the father of lies. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. And that would include not sinning.
That is true if our faith is at it's full strength 100% of the time, but we all know that we take our eyes off the ball and feed the flesh on a very regular basis. The problem is you sin so much that it's your second nature and your not even aware of all your sins HYPOCRITE!!!

When James says “faith only” he is talking about an empty profession of faith that merely claims to be genuine but demonstrates by the lack of works that it’s dead (James 2:14).

Faith in Christ is the root of salvation and good works are the fruit. No fruit at all would demonstrate that there is no root.

“Working out” our salvation has to do with ongoing sanctification, not to be confused with Justification.

In James 2:19, we read that the demons believe “mental assent” that “there is one God” but they do not believe/entrust their spiritual well being to Christ; have faith/reliance upon Christ for salvation. Their trust and reliance is in Satan, as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.

Are you Roman Catholic?
Jameen is certainly a defender of the catholic religon..

@Danny1988, don't confuse weak, poorly grounded faith (soil #2 in the Parable of the Sower) with no faith at all. In the letter to the Galatians, Paul points out that God knows them in salvation but they do not know him:

9 "But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God"-Galatians 4:9

So we see that 'I never knew you' does not only mean never knowing Christ in salvation. As we see, it can also mean being saved but the believer having never entered into a mature 'knowing' relationship with Christ yet. Christ does not know them that way yet. In the Parable of the Sower it is soil #4 that holds the word fast and brings forth fruit to maturity with perseverance and which can not be uprooted. Temptations to abandon faith in Christ don't just only expose fake faith, they also expose weak faith. That's what happened to the Galatian believers.

They had received the Holy Spirit. Or else paul would not have said: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?[a] 4 Have you experienced[b] so much in vain—if it really was in vain? 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?

So are you saying that unbelievers receive the Holy Spirit?

I thought so. What gave it away was when he said, "so SOLA FIDE is unbiblical."

Roman Catholicism obviously teaches salvation by works and not salvation through faith (rightly understood) IN CHRIST ALONE (Romans 3:22-28; 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..).

There is only one way believers will do that. If they leave trusting (abiding) and begin to try to finish in a different way than they began, which was trust. But it is difficult for men to rest and remain resting.

Weak faith and no faith have the same result, so there's no point in worrying about it. You either believe or you don't, only believing the Gospel 90% is like not believing at all. The end result will be the same

Galatians 5:1 is simply saying don't go and give yourself back to serve sin. It exhorts us to stand firm, I hope you don't believe it's telling us not to sin. Because we know that we will continue to sin until we drop dead.

No!, they never truly received the Holy Spirit. They fooled Paul for a short time, but they eventually demonstrated that they were never saved. They just acted like they were, just as the one billion Roams Catholics do

To be saved one must obey the commandments....which is to love others as yourself. This is the law and the prophets.
Here is where he proves he is a works salvationist <- he believes one walk saves -> or "unsaves" someone

So you are not into obedience? Do you think it's optional to love your neighbour? Jesus said that to be saved one must obey the commandments. And He is the Lord, right?

^
in response to a sister who actually shared the truth and said to be saved we must believe in Jesus (he is already making strawmen and attacking her character
I teach that God is holy and that in Christ there is no sin. Those who are outside of Christ will sin. Those who are actually IN Christ cannot sin. That is how you know where you are!

So you teach a sinful Christ? Or you realize that you are not yet in Christ?

We live as Jesus WHEN we abide in Him. Otherwise we are left to walk in our own strength. I have known both...as all who are being taught of God know. Maturity comes when we are no longer moved from being In Christ.

he believes

capable to sin -> unsaved
unable to sin -> saved

and depending on which one of these you are at the moment

is how you can tell where youre are

he made many other strange claims

false statements

lies against brothers and sisters

insults

but im sure you just ignored them stunned

Galatians 5:1 is simply saying don't go and give yourself back to serve sin. It exhorts us to stand firm, I hope you don't believe it's telling us not to sin. Because we know that we will continue to sin until we drop dead.
In context he's telling them to not go back to the slavery of trying to be justified by the law in the keeping of it's various ceremonies (Sabbaths, New Moons, Festivals, circumcision, etc). Doing those for justification most certainly is sin. And it's not unreasonable that a person never sin that way ever again. Especially since your salvation depends on it (keeping the law to be justified instead of Jesus is unbelief in Jesus for justification).

And in regard to other sin, it is possible to one day not be in bondage to that which you are today. That's the 4th type of soil in the Parable of the Sower. I know you are probably the victim of a church that says the 4th type of soil is only theoretical and that no one actually ever gets there, but I assure you it's for real and believers do get there. The believer can have victory over besetting sin. That's not sinless perfection, but it's surely victory over sin. If you keep believing in Christ, God will make sure you get healed of whatever it is that is keeping you from the abundance of life Christ died to give you.

" 1Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. "-1 Peter 4:1

I'm confident that the problem is you can not understand how works are required to be saved without those works earning you salvation.

All of the following verses speak of being saved through doing something. Do you really think the Bible is teaching works salvation in these passages?

16 "Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."-1 Timothy 4:16

"women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety."-1 Timothy 2:15

"40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”-Acts 2:40

Will people be saved if they do not obey the instructions connected with each of these verses? No. And yet none of these verses is suggesting that works earn salvation. Find out how that can be and you will understand how works save without those works earning your justification/salvation.

GOD said, Who ever believes in him shall be saved. To be saved all you need to do is believe Jesus Christ is the son of GOD and died for our sins and on the third day he arose from the grave and is coming again. The only predestination is GOD gave us a free will, we have a choice to follow him or not. GOD already knows who will accept him and who wont. Being saved is not that difficult. why do people have to use such big words and make it a conflict and different sides. we should be "one in Christ"

What must one do to be saved.

I believe God decides who will be saved and who won't.

There are many scriptures which support the view that we don't decide to believe in Christ, but faith in Christ is a gift that God gives only to His elect.

Most folks don't agree with the doctrine of predestination/election, because many other scriptures say things like you must obey and remain faithful to the end etc...

These two opposing views have been debated for centuries, so today we have the benefit of many good good books on the subject but have we arrived at a consensus in the Church.

I would love to see the Church unite and resolve this dividing issue. But I fear that it will continue to be an enigma for the Church. Why can't we let the Bible be the final authority and accept what it really says and unite in the truth.
