A gift can only be returned if the gift-giver accepts it back.

God does not.
We come to God of our own free will, that is ours from the beginning of the world as we can see from Adam and Eve who God thrust out from his presence.

But God said He never would.

By saying His children shall never perish, nor anything in all creation snatch us from His hand (including us, as we are created beings), what you are claiming is completely false.

No, we are not saved by works. It is about remaining faithful and not following after other gods as the Israelites did.
Thats works man. Thats doing stuff by your own power to earn salvation.

not of works lest anyone should boast..

you can not do what Israel did and still fall short of Gods glory, thats the point, it still will not be enough to maintian your salvation.

I read what you are saying there. What do you believe about your status as a Christian? What do you see as your presence in Christ? And how do you see your future come the judgment?
Thank you for reading me. And if you choose, for taking the time to share your personal testimony in response.
I love Jesus with all my heart and will follow Him all the days of my life. I try to be an example to others in my daily life and try to be like the Good Samaritan. I sincerely hope people see the love of Christ shining through in all I say and do. At the end I hope the Lord will say to me, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Salvation is a free gift to those who believe and do not apostatise.
ie, its not free, we have to earn it. by not doing those things.

do you listen to yourself man? Think about what you said,

Christ gained the victory over sin and death, all we need to do is believe in him and follow, follow, follow, follow on........
we are saved by faith, not by following,

We follow BECAUSE we are saved.

I am afraid so.

But the Bible says "Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. " (1 John 3:9)

Looks like you're in some trouble.

You can throw a free gift back in someone's face, and you can bet the farm you have lost it forever.

Don't forget, we are only talking about those who turn their back on God.
We are not talking about human givers, we are talking about God. DO you think God is going to give you that gift KNOWING your going to throw it back in his face. If you think this you do not know God at all.

Its God we are talking about.. when are you going to give God some credit for being God?

"Come now, let us settle the matter," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Then we follow the Good Shepherd all the days of our life. This is what the conversation is about.
ya got to be converted first, otherwise it is all just religion and self righteousness.

We are talking baout how one is converted, not what one does after they are converted.

The last thing I want to do is to do what the Israelites did in the wilderness. Following Jesus isn't works, it is a way of life, a righteous life.

so you hope he says that, and not depart from me.

what kind of Hope is that?

Not somethign that would earn my faith..

Adam and eve was perfect, You have never been, so trying to equate yourself with them pre fall is not something you shoudl even try to do. it is a false comparison

It is works if you make obedience a condition of salvation.

God rejects the wicked, like those who reject Him and all he has to offer.
