I am suspicious of your definition because you maintain with the crazy OSAS belief. Notwithstanding the fact that one cannot be declared saved until G-d passes judgment...after our death.

Sorry but Christians are not judged after death. Christians have already confessed themselves as sinners to the Savior. Christ took our place in judgment and gave us justification by grace.

Christians are made the righteousness of Christ and He was made sin in our place. Vicarious atonement is Gods plan.

All....... are judged after death. That includes you, me and ALL others.

Christ gave His life on The Cross...for forgiveness of our sins.

Has nothing to do with the point being made.

If I understand your question relationship.........Christ death on The Cross provided forgiveness of sin upon our repentance.

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Works are judged but not Christians. Judgment seat of Christ.

1 Cor 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

I know part of Roman Catholic control over the laity is they can never know if they are saved. They have an empty hope in the pope and Rome's traditions, rites.

Here's a little tip for you. If you do not know you are saved and going to heaven then certainly you are not.

NO, not if they sell out to Catholic dogma.....and as a matter of fact, MOST Roman Catholics I know have a disdain for Christians and totally disassociate themselves from identifying with Christianity...they will say I am a Roman Catholic and for sure the dogma pushed by the Roman Catholic Church is NOT Christian....

a. Worship of Mary, Pope, statues, finger nails, bones, hair, etc. of the Apostles
b. Church salvation
c. Pray to Mary
d. The right to buy sin (indulgences)
e. Priest can absolve sin
f. Sacramental salvation
g. Transubstantiation of the bread and blood
h. Sprinkling over immersion
g. Magic Rosary prayer
i. ETC...

I stand fully amazed that anyone who names Christ can say or believe that one who holds to the above can be labeled a devout follow of Christ or a Christian.

What a gross misrepresentation/misapplication of what John said.

John said "Now are we the sons of God", and that is true.

You cannot turn that around and twist its meaning to say that if a person does not know if he is saved or not, he certainly isn't.

And if you were thinking of 1 John 5:13, the same thing applies.

No church you can find to attend doesn't have some errors. You cannot demand that people have perfect knowledge and be without any error to be saved or you are NOT preaching the gospel.

Yeah......whatever man.....John said WE can KNOW we are.......and the SPIRIT bears witness with OUR SPIRIT....I suggest the word of God and not your imaginary opinions man....

I think that is what causes my answer to be, no. Today's Roman Catholics are not Christians. There are over 1 billion Roman Catholics in the world. :(

I've met some catholics who absolutely love God and have received the Holy Spirit. They have many confusions that make me sad for them, but almost all of them, once they had the time to really sit down and realize they were too confused to keep going on the way they were, have eventually left that church. They become very excited when they get free from it and realize all of their confusion and frustration have gone and they can rest.

I also met a Mormon one time who had the Holy Spirit. That completely floored me as I didn't think it was possible. I still don't quite know how it is possible.

Yes, we can know.

That does not mean that a person who does not know is "certainly not saved".
