BTW what is the point of this thread? Jesus said himself that many are on the broad road.

Why not have a counter for those who are saved, too?

A Hindu child can see that Shiva is lord.

You're too biased. Men of science have to take all religions under
consideration before deciding; not just yours.

Hey, I'm a man of science too. What's your point?

Do you not believe in objective truth?

When we focus on something like hell (the lake of fire) we are scared speechless, and many folks become Christian out of that fear. Let's look at the positive side of what is generally believed. Even Catholic scholars agree nobody is currently in hell, that is why they came up with purgatory and paradise. The so called holding places for the departed.

This fearful service to God is never perfected, because it is founded on the wrong spirit. Real faith works entirely different:
Gal. 5:6
"For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love."

What love will do is perfect the disciple's faith walk with Christ Jesus. You can't serve Christ unless the heavenly Father draws you to it.

John 6:44
"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

Most people are not to be drawn in this life. Their whole life is a vain show. Most people will have a chance during the second resurrection (Rev. 20:5). That is when God is going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28, 29). This is not a second chance, there will be some resurrected to damnation that rejected the Holy Spirit in this life.

I believe this little season that Satan will be loosed will last a hundred years (see Isa. 65:20). The second gathering for the lake of fire will put an end to Satan, his minions and all the evil people that still reject a loving God. That sounds like righteous judgment to me.

Hrm... except it doesn't make sense to me for God to give people a second chance

Maybe you missed this sentence?

This is not a second chance, there will be some resurrected to damnation that rejected the Holy Spirit in this life.
You are implying here some that rejected the Holy Spirit in this life will be saved.

By what standards of God's salvation will they be allowed eternal life?

I did not say any such thing, this is what I said:
This is not a second chance, there will be some resurrected to damnation that rejected the Holy Spirit in this life. Damnation always means death.

And given God's omniscience or foreknowledge of the past, present, and future...in light of hell one must ask:

If God knew those going to Hell were going to use their free will to refuse the message of salvation and continue to sin.....why create the "Pre-damned" in the first place?

Romans 9:22-24

What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction? 23What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory— 24including us, whom He has called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?

Then wouldn't it be more accurate to say, all resurrected to damnation rejected the Holy Spirit? Why use the word some?

What don't you understand about some, I said some I meant some. Not all in the second resurrection will be resurrected to damnation. In fact, this is a picture of ancient Israel's Feast of Ingathering.

This is where most of the people that will get saved have their chance. They will see history as 6000 years with man and Satan messing it up. Then compare 1000 years doing things God's way. Only the very most evil will choose wrong at that time.

According to a thing I've been watching on YouTube, atoms are so incredibly
tiny that just one glass full of them contains more atoms than there are
glasses of water in all the oceans.

I don't know if that's really true or not, but one thing that amazes me is the
amount of energy bound up in an atom holding its nucleus together. When
that bond is broken-- for example in a reactor or a nuclear weapon --the
amount of energy released can be considerable.

Genesis talks about the origin of the cosmos, but it doesn't really say much
about the energy that goes into making the cosmos a cohesive structure.

Personally, I suspect that atomic energy is alluded to in the creation of light;
and I also think that's why God created light right away because the Earth
was without form in the beginning; no doubt due to the cosmos' lack of
atomic energy; without which the quantum particles in atoms would go their
separate ways like the seeds of a dandelion by just a puff of breath or a mild
shaking of their plant stems.

Albert Einstein was fascinated by light and it's various properties; and rightly
so because it's not just illumination; no, light and it's various properties are
far more complicated than that.

While scientists go about arguing against intelligent design, their discoveries
are revealing just how incredibly smart the designer really is.

Pop Clock Update: 1,307 days have elapsed since beginning the thread. If
the figures in post #1 are within reason, then something like 76,565,367
new arrivals have checked into the fiery sector of hades since December 10,
2014.

If you are going to do a population clock, why not start with Adam and Eve ~6000 years ago?

People have come and gone over the years telling me how better to do this, but I've yet to see
even one of them step up and attempt a pop clock of their own.

few < many
so let's define many as 51%
softer estimate

if we consider the world population now, as the most possible people, let's say 90% of all the people in the 6000 years of human history

the fact that at least half of the world population + 10% should be enough of an eye opening experience

and this is just calculating the minimal amount of people going to hell
