What was the "gospel of the kingdom" that John the Baptist, Jesus and His apostles taught? Who was the audience?
Jesus, John the Baptist, and the Apostles preached the Gospel of the Kingdom, the same Gospel of the Kingdom that will be preached in all the world for a witness, then then end will come.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:9-13

In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul tells us that the gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

I wonder why you didn't actually post the scripture you are referring to?

I'll bet I know why.

Here let me help you.

Are you saying that this is the Gospel?

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have [b]fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 1 Corinthians 15:3-7

I clearly understand the difference between faith and works and I don't confuse faith and works.
What kind of works are you referring to?

works that earn a wage?
The works of the law of Moses?
Good works?

or

The obedience of faith?

  • the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:26

1 Corinthians 15:1 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

That's a lot of testimony to the resurrection of Christ. Are you trusting in the death, burial and resurrection as the ALL-sufficient means of your salvation?

The "good news" of the kingdom will once again be preached in all the world just before the end because the kingdom is ready to come at that time. It would have came sooner if the Nation of Israel would have accepted their Messiah, but that was not the case. Gospel simply means "good news." I don't teach "another" gospel and you need to learn how to rightly divide the word of truth.

In Galatians 1:6-9, we see that false teachers were troubling the Galatians and were perverting the gospel that Paul received from Christ by revelation. The Judaizers' perverted the gospel by "adding" requirements (laws) from the Old Covenant as necessary prerequisites to salvation and we have misguided, works salvationists today who pervert the gospel by "adding" additional requirements (works) to the gospel. Paul refers to this as a "different" gospel, which is no good news at all.

In Ephesians 3:1-9, Paul clearly states: 1 - For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. 8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ.

This is the "good news" that the apostle Paul preached after the cross, which does not share the exact same content as the "good news" that the twelve, John the Baptist, and Jesus Christ were preaching before the cross. Yet, they were still preaching the "good news" of the kingdom to Israel. -- "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

If the good news of the kingdom, prior to the cross has the exact same content as the gospel of grace after the cross, then Matthew 10:5-7; 16:21-22; Mark 16:14; Luke 18:31-34; 24:19-24, 44-47, along with Ephesians 3:1-9 is superfluous. Before the cross, the gospel of grace that Paul taught and came to him through a revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11-12) was still a mystery.

works that earn a wage?
The works of the law of Moses?
Good works?

or

The obedience of faith?
Choosing to place our faith in Christ for salvation by believing the gospel is the act of obedience that saves us (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:16). Not to be confused with multiple acts of obedience/works which FOLLOW and are produced "out of" faith. You cannot dissect works of obedience from the moral aspect of the law (Matthew 22:37-40) and then teach that we are saved by "these" works (works of obedience), but just not "those" works (works that earn a wage/works of the law/good works). We are not saved by works in general and works of obedience are good works and would earn a wage if they were the means of our salvation, your "what kind of works are you referring to" argument is flawed.

In Ephesians 2:8-9, Paul did not say that we are saved through faith and works of obedience/good works, just not works of the law, yet that is what works-salvationists imply that he meant. Paul said that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. Likewise, in Titus 3:5, Paul said that we are not saved by works of righteousness which we have done.. and in 2 Timothy 1:9, Paul said that God saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works.. so it is not merely "specific" works of the law that do not save us, but works in general

In James 2:15-16, the example of a "work" that James gives is: "If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?" To give a brother or sister these things needed for the body would certainly be a "work of obedience/good work" yet to neglect such a brother or sister and not give them the things needed for the body is to break the second great commandment "love your neighbor as yourself"(Matthew 22:39) as found written in the law of Moses (Leviticus 19:18).

In Matthew 22:37-40, we read: Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. So which works of obedience/good works could a Christian accomplish that are "completely detached" from these two great commandments which are found in the law of Moses? (Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18).

the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:26
I already explained "the obedience of faith/obedience to the faith" to you multiple times, yet you continue to twist the scriptures and teach that faith "is" acts of obedience and that we are saved through faith + obedience/works.

Although Paul can speak of people’s initial response of choosing to believe the gospel as an act of obedience, in which he describes it as "obeying the gospel" (Romans 10:16; 1:16), the purpose of Paul’s apostleship was not merely to bring people to conversion but also to bring about transformed lives that were obedient to God.

Notice that Paul said they HAVE (already) received grace and apostleship FOR/UNTO obedience to the faith (Romans 1:5). Just as in Ephesians 2:10, Paul said that we are created in Christ Jesus FOR/UNTO good works. We are clearly saved FOR good works, NOT BY good works (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Paul did not say that they did not receive grace and apostleship until they produced obedience/works afterwards. We have access by faith into grace.. Romans 5:2 not faith "and obedience/works." We are saved through faith in Christ first, then "unto" obedience/good works.

So it was Christ that took Abraham's son, to offer him on the altar, and not Abraham?

That sure does not align with what the scripture so plainly says.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? James 2:21

Let's just read what the scripture is teaching us, so we will understand it and learn from it.

JPT
Not by Abraham or Rehab as those seen, works .

Form my experences many do not want to attribute faith to Christ in God who remains unseen . Many say God does not need faith because he is omnipotent. In doing they destroy the faith that comes from hearing God not seen.

Yes and it was imputed to Abraham and Rehab as a righteousness not of themselves, as God worked in both to both will and perform his good pleasure . God working in man... moving, drawing mankind according to His will.

Not by the will of man but as they were moved to perform his will. See how Christ not seen worked as the works of God and by the work of our faithful Creator His work shown, by His faith made it complete. The proper person as to where the faith is from, must first be distinguished .Of men or of God?

I offer the faith below is in respect to the faith of Christ the new faith as a gift that was freely given to Abraham and Rebab the mutual faith belonging to God

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. James2;22-23

If we would attribute that work (Christ's) by which Abraham and Rehab were moved to perform the good pleasure of God as we are informed in Philippian 2: 12 to their flesh or person, then a person would violate the warning not to have the faith that comes from hearing Christ in respect to any person.(verse 1 of James 2)

If we follow verse 1 of James 2 in respect to the commandment (not just a good suggestion)... not to have the faith of Christ which comes from hearing God not seen in respect to persons seen to its end. and attribute that work to Abraham and Rehab we would by looking at verse 7 blaspheme the Holy name by which we are called heavenward . We simply do not have the faith of Christ in respect to that seen .

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. James 2:1

The end of the matter

Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? James 2:1

If a person misses that opening commandment the rest of the chapter cannot be reconciled .

1 Corinthians 15:1 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

Exactly, the Gospel Paul preached was the Gospel of the kingdom, that Jesus taught Him.

15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ Acts 26:15-18

  • I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

One Gospel for both Jew and Gentile.

  • in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins

Repent is how we turn to God and turn away from Satan.

In 1 Corinthians 15:3-7, Paul said he taught them that:

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once
After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

Otherwise, your "Gospel" is this -

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once
After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Is that the Gospel? LOL

Choosing to place our faith in Christ for salvation by believing the gospel is the act of obedience that saves us
Obeying the Gospel command to repent, by confessing Jesus as Lord, is how a person obeys the Gospel.

The one and only gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ- which we must obey by baptism.

Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand is the only Godpel in the Bible.

Repent and be baptised everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.

Christ purchased His church (kingdom) with His blood. The church, nor the way into it was in effect until Christ died. John prepared the way by baptising because that is the way into the church (which is Christ's body). At hand means almost here.

  • This has nothing to do with Baptism.

Baptism in water comes after a person is born again.

Baptism with the Holy Spirit is still another Baptism.

Baptism is being born again. The bible says baptism saves- therefore if we are saved before we are baptized, then baptism does not save, and God is made out to be a liar.

Exactly, the Gospel Paul preached was the Gospel of the kingdom, that Jesus taught Him.
Hmm.. if that's true, then where did Paul say, "repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand?" John the Baptist said it in Matthew 3:2 and Jesus said it in Matthew 4:17, yet in Galatians 1:11-12, we read that the gospel which was preached by Paul is not according to man and neither did he receive it from man, nor what he taught, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. We also read in Ephesians 3:1-9, that the dispensation of the grace of God was given to Paul and by revelation Jesus made know to Paul the mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets -- that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel which Paul became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God.. *Now show me where John the Baptist and the 12 disciples were preaching this mystery BEFORE the cross.

That was not part of the gospel which the twelve, John the Baptist, and Jesus were preaching before the cross. Yet, they were still preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel.

Jesus Christ sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ The disciples were specifically told to go only to the people of Israel, and they were not preaching anything about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ or that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel.

In Matthew 16:15, Jesus Christ asked His disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Now Peter had no clue that Jesus Christ would be crucified and resurrected, but he truly believed that Jesus was the Messiah. This is obvious when, only moments later, Peter rebukes Jesus Christ for saying he will be killed, and be raised again the third day" (Matthew 16:21). In verse 22, "..Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

Before his death, Jesus told the twelve that he had to die and that he would rise on the third day. Looking back upon this passage we see this as Jesus speaking of an event that would change the history of the world. However, it is unquestionable that the disciples were ignorant of its meaning.

“Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem,…And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. – Luke 18:31-34. hmm... that's strange if the gospel of grace that came through a revelation of Jesus Christ to Paul and was a mystery prior to that has the same content as the gospel of the kingdom as you claim. *This is where you need to RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH.

After his crucifixion, instead of anxiously waiting his resurrection, the apostles were still ignorant, disheartened at the death of their redeemer, and did not even at first believe the testimony of his resurrection (Mark 16:14, Luke 24:19-24).

It was not until after his resurrection that Jesus appeared to the apostles and opened their understanding (Luke 24:44-47).

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,
One Gospel for both Jew and Gentile
.
In this dispensation, yes (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 3:1-12).

in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins

Repent is how we turn to God and turn away from Satan.
Repent and believe the gospel is how we turn to God in faith and away from Satan. In Acts 20:21, we read (and notice the order) - testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

This was AFTER the cross.

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
and
that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once
After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Is that the Gospel? LOL
My gospel is the same gospel that Paul preached. Are you ready to repent and BELIEVE the gospel? Verses 5-8 testify of the risen Savior. Praise the Lord! :)

Ok, so your "Gospel" is this -

JPT
Again, my gospel is the same gospel that Paul preached (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 3:1-12).

Obeying the Gospel command to repent, by confessing Jesus as Lord, is how a person obeys the Gospel.
We obey the gospel command by choosing to BELIEVE the gospel. Romans 10:16 - But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" Those who BELIEVE the gospel have already repented in the process of changing their mind and choosing to BELIEVE the gospel. For those who BELIEVE unto righteousness, the word of faith is in their mouth and in their heart TOGETHER (Romans 10:8).

Your gospel has those who BELIEVE unto righteousness/Believe the gospel still lost in their sins UNTIL they round up some people and verbally confess that Jesus is Lord to them (which is not what Paul is teaching in (Romans 10:8-10) and your gospel leaves those who are unable to speak (moot) lost in their sins for failing to confess with their mouth.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10

with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Let's try it again and try to pay attention this time. Romans 10:8 - But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart" (TOGETHER) that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, (notice the reverse order from verse 9 to verse 10) - that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confess/believe; believe/confess. *NOT TWO SEPERATE STEPS TO SALVATION BUT CHRONOLOGICALLY TOGETHER.*

1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except BY the Holy Spirit. There is divine influence or direct operation of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a person when confessing Jesus as Lord. This confession is not just a simple acknowledgment that Jesus is the Lord (even the demons believe that), but is a deep personal conviction, without reservation, that Jesus is that person's Lord and Savior.

So simply believing in our head (and not in our heart) that God raised Him from the dead does not result in righteousness and simply reciting the words "Jesus is Lord" (lip service confession) not by the Holy Spirit is not unto salvation.

YOU STILL HAVE NOT ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS:

1. Which church do you attend?
2. If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your EXACT ANSWER?

1- The gospel that saves is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ...
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."

2- We must obey the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to escape hell...
"With flames of fire He will take vengeance on those who know not God and who obey not the gospel of His Son."

3- How does the bible say we obey the gospel?...
All of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death. 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."

Did you see that? The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus- which we must obey by baptism (joining Christ in death by dying to self, burying our sinful self in the watery grave of baptism, and being raised to newness of life.

4- The only thing that saves is Christ's blood washing away our sins, all other things only save because they lead us to Christ's blood- which we receive during baptism...
In Colossians 2 it says during baptism, without human hands, God performs circumcision of the heart with Christ's blood- that is when and how we receive Christ's blood. In speaking of new testament chrisitians, Revelation 7:14 says "These are those who have washed their robes, making them white in the blood of the Lamb." And what did Ananias say to Paul? What are you waiting for? Arise, be baptised and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord." There is nothing magical about the water we are baptized in, what takes place during baptism is spiritual.
