Yeah they do. There are murderers who are specific and those who aren't.

The same could be said with the ridiculous amounts of abuse in churches.

Seriously, what would you do if you or someone you loved lost someone to gun violence?
My family and I did lose more than one loved one to gun violence, and I still support 2A. The family members who protected my home after the loss had guns. Take away the right to have guns and only criminals will have them. Bad idea.

Of course I'm hurt. I have a soon to be 7 year old nephew and a 3 year old niece, another 1 year old nephew, and a third nephew on the way. I don't want to have to lose them.
Nobody wants to lose their children (or other children in their family), but some already have and they still support 2A. It's not like it's people who support 2A vs. people who have or love kids. Some support 2A out of their love for kids; we want to protect them too, just as I was protected.

We're not heartless and we're not "gun worshippers"; we just don't think more gun laws is the way to go.

The problem is, humans are no longer humane. We'd just as soon spit in each others eyes than give the time of day. AS this thread has shown. Once again. Even here among 'loving Christians'. As long as we hate each other as we do, the type of weapon is only secondary. The Columbine kids had more bombs than they had guns. The problem is not the weapons. It is the HATE.

The Bible says love will grow cold. It has. What you see is the result of that.

I agree people should be vetted more carefully before they are allowed to have guns.

But as long as we HATE, what's in their hand isn't as dangerous as what's in their heart.

Since when does disagreement = hate for one another?

you know if you feel so strongly about this, why are you wanting to discuss this on this site, especially when it's "under maintenance" instead of actually"taking action",as is your right whatever issue you have with guns you can call for a "petition" and even send in a "law" to be analyzed and possibly approved, why bother talking here when you could be making a "real difference" concerning the issue you have shared instead of responding so many times in this thread with some people who are clearly not listening to you?

Yeah I know just kind of agreeing with her for the sake of agreeing so as that she might "think" instead of just "throwing about" insults, and express to her that she obviously has "strong opposition" to "what she wants" and that she can "better handle things" with "paper work" or a more "real" community outreach instead of just one site where her posts might be deleted due to maintenance.

She hasn't insulted anyone. She has a belief and an emotional response to current events.

Well noone in particular, but you get what I mean she's on rather a "rant" and well I was seeking to help her get back to more "coherent" discussion or even give her an idea for her cause,"anger" clouds the mind and no good comes from the ideas that follow.

I think you should go from Historyprincess to Warrior Princess. Do the things it takes, so your nephews sleep safe at night.

What about human trafficking?

DoSomething.org

11 Facts About Human Trafficking

1 Globally, the average cost of a slave is $90.
2 Trafficking primarily involves exploitation which comes in many forms, including: forcing victims into prostitution, subjecting victims to slavery or involuntary servitude and compelling victims to commit sex acts for the purpose of creating pornography.
3 According to some estimates, approximately 80% of trafficking involves sexual exploitation, and 19% involves labor exploitation.
4 There are approximately 20 to 30 million slaves in the world today.
5 According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, of which 80% are female and half are children
6 The average age a teen enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 to 14-year-old. Many victims are runaway girls who were sexually abused as children.
7 California harbors 3 of the FBI’s 13 highest child sex trafficking areas on the nation: Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego.
8 The National Human Trafficking Hotline receives more calls from Texas than any other state in the US. 15% of those calls are from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
9 Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year.
10 Human trafficking is the third largest international crime industry (behind illegal drugs and arms trafficking). It reportedly generates a profit of $32 billion every year. Of that number, $15.5 billion is made in industrialized countries.

Now am I saying school shooting are irrelevant? Of course not. But there are much bigger crimes going on with more reaching affects. So where's the outrage for That?
America is in decline and, like all great empires through history, is destined to fall. Often from within, such as we are seeing now. We can't stop it.
