If you think the VoH looks boring, you would probably hate Clan of the Cave Bear. The author spends a good of time describing the flora and landscapes of prehistoric times, interspersed with interactions between Neanderthal and modern Cro-Magnon humans. I found it fascinating :eek: Haha they made a movie of that first book and it was a total flop: no dialogue! It just did not work :(
