A book a week is respectable I powered the device up before lending it, because it had not been used for years. It was interesting while showing her how it worked, to see the books I had read on it. I put Richard Wagamese's Indian Horse on it for her to read, and recommended a few others that were on it for her also, such as Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, The Weight of Water by Kathryn Bigelow, and State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. The first book I ever read on the Kindle was Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged; it was my sixth reading of that book. The mistakes in the tech copy were plenteous LOL and so bad at times I had to check a PDF version to find out what was really being said
I once downloaded "ub" on my granny's phone but it's not theor now. I don't have a bank account even worse... i don't spend dollars so i had to download free books on my ub shelves and all of stephen kings book were not free except excerpts.
When i had time, a book per week meant i was busy... i usually stayed up late at night to make sure i finished the book in a day except extra large ones.
My biggest book is the talisman.
Have you read/heard the historian by elizabeth kostovan? I read a little then left my mum's place and when i went back there for the holidays it was gone...... i never got to finish it and it still bugs me
