What did one kernel say to the other? Let's get popping......
When we start having movie nights again we'll pop some popcorn with our new popcorn popper that is still unused in the box that we bought 3 years ago from our local super Walmart.

Hey guys I just spent the last. five days in the hospital. I'm leaving for home tomorrow!
That is certainly a good report. Looking forward to updates on the development of the game that you are designing too. Maybe if you are able to get started in the marketing process your game will take off and become a craze like Pokémon.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]The same was in the beginning with God.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:1-3
I love that passage from the John as it mirrors the opening passage in Genesis. It reads like it came from KJV. Other translations and versions say the same thing but does not have the poetic flow of words that the KJV does. My favorite version of the bible is the NKJV which is the same as the KJV but in a slighter more modern format that is easier to read. I love reading the bible and do so as part of my daily devotion with my wife Darlene.

Good morning to you peeps. I see tourist holding down the fort. You know tourist not really bonding with anyone during my early childhood made me really independent. Plus I was big and strong for my age from about 10 on. I mentioned that they would not transfer me out of Watts for high school so I went to work instead.

The fall of '61 my uncle (youngest) asked me to come there to Missouri if I wanted more school, which I did want. I had enough money saved, so with my mother's permission I bought a greyhound ticket and went. Nobody bothered me because I looked more 18-19 than 15 years old. Plus being street-smart to the ghetto and bold but humble (good combination for the ghetto). I had a layover in KC Kansas overnight so I bought a hotel room for $3.50. I'm showing my age. Hardiharhar...

Thank you for sharing a few pages of your story. What I truly love to do on this site is to really get to know the peeps, who they are, where they came from and who they are about. I enjoy the casual playful banter back and forth on our thread but what I really appreciate and enjoy the most is when a member is not afraid to make themselves a little vulnerable by opening up the book in their story and read a page here and there to those that may be interested.

When I was 17 I spent in week alone in downtown Los Angeles and found it to be a scary place. It was exciting as well. There was only 1 attempt to rob me. Some kid asked for money so I gave him $5. He said that he wanted the rest of what I had. I said no way that was happening. He threated me with a knife and said he was going to cut me. I told him to bring it on. He got scared and said he was going to get his brother. I told him I would be waiting. He took off and I went the other way.

You certainly were not rambling Dennis. You are one of the few peeps on this thread that I actually know by name and are willing to share a little of themselves to the others. My name is Jerry in case that you didn't know. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
Interesting story tourist. Whatever brought you to spending a week alone in Los Angeles at 17? Where you made your mistake, was letting the thug know you had any money. Typically you would be asked for a small amount (many times a nickel) to test your reaction. It is just a precursor to robbery. The trick is to make out like your broke like say: sorry - then just shrug your shoulders or opens your hands in a broke fashion. If he then get in your face, get right back in his. Most of the time when you stand up to them they take off, as he did on you.

Rather than showing your age your sharing your experiences that played a part in defining who you are as a spiritual son of the Lord today.

I always had a love for travel and adventure and spending a week in California in LA seemed like a good adventure at the time. If I had to do it all over I would have got a squeegee and wash windshields for a small fee. I'd fit right in then. Or maybe hold a sign saying I have been stranded and need money. That might of worked as well.

Hello all I pray for you Monnkai as you get out of the hospital - and I have tried to do the red slop thingybobber and I hope between husband and wife rejuvenating their kindling wood fire and the many here who are just awesome - simply put - It is a great pleasure to have my mouse working enough for now to be in here. It glides ever so slowly into place, I tried the Fonzy gig where ya just slam it sideways but now that I think about it, that could be why its worse - LOL Kidding - but it will work its way out, for I have a God and a brain both.

We sometimes forget God employs our brain too - to work hard for Him! And not ourselves. I understand to place my mind in Christ thru spiritual living - if I am forgiven without being altered, forgiveness is not only damaging to me, but a sign of unmitigated weakness in God. Unless it is possible for God's forgiveness and revelations spiritually to establish an order of holiness and rectitude, forgiveness is a mean and abominable thing.

So, as I pray, and listen to Him in prayer - so does He speak to me Spirit to spirit - and as He speaks to my spirit and I sense the newness of Him - I place my mind there in His revelations viz., the Holy Spirit. This process of faithful righteous living added with obedience is not simply enlightening, it is life altering in my transformation as to who I am.

Thus, as I pray so I think as He employs my thoughts....and as I think I will come up with an answer to the mouse dilemma....sooner or later...Pray for sooner. LOL A worthy phone number also is a part move...LOL

The part about the worthy phone number is most interesting. Oh, the salmon that you served does indeed look scrumptious. Definitely the potato wedges instead to the rice. Besides being grilled with a touch of lemon pepper wedges of lemon on the side will be required also. Those burnt veggies look yummy too. Cooking and baking food to just the right degree of burnt is an art. A trusted culinary source has told me this but I have found it to be true as well.

Competition for affection can bring out the best in people. Yeah, I'd go with the strawberry pie too 'cause I believe that Dan has a sweet tooth. Hopefully, there will be candles on the table too. Of course, fresh cut flowers in a beautiful vase might be asking for a little too much at first.

Bring it up! Bring it on! Bring it over! But check with Mrs Peabody first too....I think fresh Strawberry pie will suffice rather nicely don't you think Mrs Peabody? - Why of course Sir Peabody, it seems to be a perfect addition to the meal, have her bring it over indeed. It is indubitably a wonderful choice - but I will be making some peach cobbler as well, so unbuckle your pants Sir Peabody you are in for a great meal. Well thank you ladies, it is very kind of you but allow us all to share with all our guests for we will make enough for them as well - to that, I am sure. Indubitably Sir Peabody - indubitably!

Good morning - how are you this day?
Moving right along. Have to go to work a day earlier than usual tomorrow but that's not entirely a bad thing. My wife is out right now but I am hoping that she brings some fast food home for dinner. Just me and the cats Tango and Sugar. Of course, when mom is gone they often go and hide somewhere cozy for their nap until their mommy comes home. My frame of mind is good today.

Why thankyou Sir Peabody - a Peach Cobbler is a marvellous choice. Hello and welcome to our 14 guests! I pray you all enjoy today's menu. :D
