I like Joshua. He's an excellent leader. Never wavered from the Lord. However, he was tricked by some "ites" into an agreement. However, he did it not knowing.
High character - grew up with Moses as mentor; he and Caleb watched all the Israelites die in the wilderness because of disobedience. Led them into the Promise Land. He knew better than to disobey God. He sincerely loved God and knew to NEVER turn away from Him - no matter what!

I had to look it up, I did not realize the eldest servant was not named in the story. You're right, in Genesis 24 it just says the eldest servant.
The story of Isaac and Rebekah is very interesting. Often it has been said to be an example of Jesus Christ and His Bride like Boaz and Ruth.
