Yes - I have had it hard trying to get in here as of late myself ... I hope and pray they work it out soon. I have missed much but I am trying to (get ready here it comes.....>) KETCHUP! LOL. Pretty soon we will have our own language altogether. And instead of calling on a Lexicon to understand it, we will be calling on English to understand others instead....LOL. But, I don't think this is what God meant by a transformed life....LOL  ... Good Morning Peoples! I have been Reading Acts and Luke this Morning. What do you all think of this passage?

"Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you....." (Like 10:20).

I think it has to do with Spiritual Success and our desire for it over our desire for God Himself, hence the warning... of seeing self-awareness in us developing..based on a false pretense of godliness. Making us a dictator of His Word and not a discusser and a discoverer of His Word with and alongside people. What say you?

We must always understand when dealing with people that Discipleship carries with it an option. Ill-regardless of bad choices leading to destruction.
"However, don't rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

As christians, we shouldn't be carried away by the doing of miracles (cast out devils...) at the point of neglecting our personal relationship with God, our salvation. For the casting out of devil ... is not necessarily proof of righteousness and does not guarantee eternal life.

We're currently on the book of Acts in our project to read the bible from Genesis through Revelation that started Sept 15, 2016. This morning we finished chapter 18. Probably will finish this particular reading of the bible around the beginning of summer. Next day we start another reading of the entire bible.

This is the first time that we have read the entire bible consecutively from start to finish. I believe that's the way to go as I have found that it is easier to maintain focus. Each time we start a bible reading we use a different revision that allows us to gain perspective.

I believe that God has known full well how His holy word was to be translated and what the major revisions were to be and that these translations and revisions were inspired by the Holy Spirit for the appropriate scribes to record and translate. They are all reliable and spiritually edifying.

This will be my 4th complete reading of the bible, God willing.
That's a wonderful project for sure my brother. Had I known when you started, I would have loved to join even from a distant. When I newly believed, I read the bible from Genesis to Revelations within a few couple of months. I was eager to discover what the bible, this wonderful treasure contained that I went through it very fast. When I read it for the second and the 3rd time, it took me longer as I had become familiar with some passagers/stories. I was reading at least four chapters daily. When I got to interesting stories like that of Joseph, I read more. I cried out all my tears when reading Matthew, the other gospels being a repitition, I didn't cry as much. The most difficult book for me to read was numbers.
My fav version is King James, I also use NIV
Afterward I embarked on reading just the New Testament, I read it for 3 consecutive times.
I have also attempted reading the whole bible in French, but stopped somewhere.

Thanks for sharing bro, much appreciated
I look forwardd to reading the whole bible again soon; if there be any interested in doing that together, keep me posted so we organise ourselves and start.
Reading it as a project or along with others could be fantabulous!

Good evening Lafftur and Didymous, I am well this evening. I finished my edit the edit phase of my second book. I have been on it for more than a week. Too much work for an old man. Lafftur, did you find the book we talked about?
