So many years I have heard people with different view of what marriage is and why they marry. some because their friends ,relatives are getting married ,others especially ladies after schooling because they don't have what to do,then gentle men to have fan .others to inherit the riches.????

well i believe marriage should be when one man
and one woman fall in love and come together (for the rest of their lives hopefully) looking for Gods approval to sanctify their relationship

When you have to pay money for sex, it is.

Know what's worse? Wife divorces, and you have to pay her to not have sex with you.

Know what's worse than that? Having to pay wife for life to have sex with another man.

Tell me how marriage isn't prostitution.

Its not only about sex. exercising the hierarchy of God's kingdom on earth. where man is the head and the woman as the helper .So man is to love the wife and the wife is to submit to her husband for glorifying God's name. Not forgetting teaching the children God's kingdom

Well according to Christianity I think marriage is a gift from God. It is meant to be the best thing that can ever happen to us. But it is not like that since we are in this fallen world. God never want us divorce no but it happens .God wants the best for us .Am sorry about the divorce and that's what we ought to mention to God to help us give us the right people to truly love and help us love them the right way with right reasons to bless his name. With prostitution ,it means selling your body for money ,remember our body is the temple of the holy spirit. someone who does that may be they haven't considered that or they are still struggling in their lives so many reasons I can't mention it all.

he actually is a man who understands the importance of marriage

but he knows first hand not everyone sees it as a sacred thing and how many in this fallen world will marry (or divorce) for gain or selfish reasons....

but as you mentioned in your op...

many in this world marry for the wrong reasons

and some just pretend to be married

you can marry to gain riches like you mentioned
(which is more or less what tommy was speaking of)


or homosexuals can pretend to be husband and.... uh husband

but God wouldnt sanctify this relationship

or you can marry for the right reasons

but marry the wrong one...
who eventually breaks your heart....

No,you don't. If it has happened you can't change it rather face it. Because its a divorce and there are a lot if sacrifices with it. Only God to give you strength to go through that struggle and restore your marriage.

Marriage is beyond the riches, sex ,good looks,hot bodies .If we see it in God's perception then there won't be divorces. That's why we don't have to rush with it just because we feel we love this or the other about our fiances .Thank you God bless you too

Please ignore Tommy and razor right now. They are bored beyond belief and will do anything for amusement. Sometimes they have useful and frankly insightful things to say, but right now they are just trolling because they have nothing better to do.

(I tried to suggest a few freeware video games they could play, give them something to do with themselves, but noooooo!)

Dorry, I can argue this all day.

You can do anything as a single Christian, except have sex, so what is marriage really about? It's about sex. Making babies, and it does cost money to be married, and even more when the wife decidesa to leave. Therefore, marriage is prostitution.

Union between a man and a woman bound by Love (God), not vows. IMO, vows are dangerous as per Matt 5:33- it is where satan get's his ammo to attack marriages.
