The way that I deal with my own anxiety issues is to come to CC. It has a calming effect on me and I can often sense the presence of God. There are good people here and you never know who you are going to meet next. God says in Hebrews to not be forgetful in entertaining strangers because you may be entertaining angels unawares. It is best to always try your best to be respectful to each other. I pray that your surgery is successful and that you can lead a normal life without the anxiety and stress of worrying about your heart.
That is a weight God would rather He carry. Can I pray for you?
"Lord, I ask you to give Your peace to Monnkai - ill-regardless of the circumstances ahead of us we all know you have our backs. Let Monnkai give His anxieties to You so that he will be rested and remain in You as his rest, and by it - be at his optimal physical condition going into surgery. Lord, we ask You to intercede in the surgery itself, and to be the hands the doctors use in healing and correction of his body. That is my most favorite verse in the bible.
Hey guys... happy sunday/Monday. Its 01:10 am here. I vetter go sleep cuz m having a paper tomorrow but i just wanna share my day with you guys.. not much actually.
Ok, for the first time in forever i led praise and worship... well someone and i, at first the other person was like trying to take over and my friends kept pushing me to sing out... it wasn't my fault cuz that was my first time and the other person is... i have no idea what to describe him as but anyway... our praise and worship session is started by worship then praise then worship and then prayers.... throughout the first worship i was just like backup for the other guy, during praise it was a war between male and females (just i and the guy) then for the secobd worship... God just gave it all to me cyz the other guy dropped his mic. That was my first time ever and when i went to sit i was just in tears and was thanking God... i have the worst type of stage fright.. throughtout my church childrens class.. i could never recite my memory verse to the end in front of the church... i would probably get to 2 verses and then just hang so for me to sing in front of the whole teenagers class... i was shaken.. after that, the choir were sullosed to give a special number, i brought up the song but the other members weren't all that serious with it so I endedup singing it alone withe leader acting as backup for the chorus... when i was done it was just over applauses, i was just.. WOW.
Got back from church, face-masked myself and slept off. Followed my granpa to get my granma from the airport. We left home by 5: 30 and we got back 10:30/40. The place was a huge chaos (not exactly)... just people everywhere and everything unorganised.
Thank you all for your new age and other testimonies, i'm not done ketching up but i will later..... wgen i took my granma's phonr... the last site she cisited7 was something like i think newageskincare or something like and it's probably the same new age you guys are talking about (just guessing), if i hadn't seen you guys testimonies i wouldn't have been able to warn my granny about it. Thank you all..
I was wondering about the magic stuff, yes i have never watched harry potter vut i have watched all thr barbie cartoons except barbie starlight... ask me about barbie and i am like cnn but barbie is also magical stuffs, thry have enchantresses, magic wands, fairies, mermaids... pretty much everything magical... actually, barbie rules on magic so i was wondering bout that also... barbie?.
And also about horror, i'm a horror fanatic, i'm mostly interested in horror movies and books.. i've actually made a quest to get as many stephen king's books as possibly... like i love horror. So that too.
Adios amigos, till we meet again. Hopefully sooner than later.

I understand about the stage fright very well. I attended a public speaking seminar once and the speaker said that some people are so afraid of speaking in public that they would rather be in the casket than say the eulogy at a funeral service. I gave the eulogy for my late wife and I was thinking about what that person said just before I went up to speak.
Public speaking is like riding a roller coaster, it is anxious going up, frightening going down but once the ride is over you feel like you have conquered something worthwhile. I remember when I had to give a presentation once on improvement in manufacturing processes to an executive of the company who came just to hear me speak. He congratulated me on my performance. Two days later he died in a plane crash. He was a good Christian man. I was wondering if I was the last one that he gave praise to. Probably not, he was always lifting up the spirits the people that he met.
I congratulate you on your performance at church. Who knows how many hearts were touched by your singing? Well done!

Quick note about stage-fright - God let me have it too! Long story short - As a Youth Pastor at my Church back in the 90's I had to speak to kids that numbered anywhere from 30 kids to approx 100 kids and I would not be nervous at all, in the back room - but bring me onstage in the BIG Church, and place my feet behind the pulpit with 400 people and I was hit hard with anxiety - uncontrollably, I might add, in the arena of physiology. But God got me thru that after many trials...so don't let the physiology stop you just let God guide you thru it somehow, and it did become a "somehow" moment many, many times...But praise God 'somehow' He got me thru. Be encouraged therefore - and fail in His name if it happens - its ok!
But what was on my heart when I read this was what you said about the "horror movie - genre."

Now, before I go back to that verse I want to share my testimony as well. I love horror movies too, but now I simply don't practice them. But I only came to that conclusion recently even.
Why did I love them? Well, I loved them for the same reason I loved to read and study, "The Screwtape Letters," authored by C.S. Lewis. Where a senior devil was teaching a Jr. devil and his co-horts how to deal with a humans mind. It was from the perspective of Scripture that shows us the devils tactics. And to this end I still believe in studying that, for God wants us to be as innocent as a dove, but as wise as a serpent. The key word phrase there being "as wise as" not to be a serpent.
Yep - I used to gain in my faith (I thought), when I would watch horror genre flicks because they gave me things I could see as the tactics of Satan. But, hold the fort! The Screwtape Letters and the horror film genre come from completely different positions, one is directly showing evil thru Biblical standpoints; whereas, in the horror genre one is being invited by Satan into that influence. In the horror genre a Christian must read between the lines, as it were, to gain any perspective from God. This is where God has grown me up.
But I digress, for I want to remain real here in even your experiences, for if God is to put His pictures up in replacement of ours He will always allow us to see the reality of both good and evil in it, so allow me to discuss and discover with you instead of preach at you. I used to ask God about it but what I did was pander my thoughts His way. I say pander my thoughts because I didn't want to give them up so I would give good reason in human reasoning not to have to face God's truths. So, I reasoned horror films affirmed the importance of morality. It also shows us the consequences of putting faith in Science or in man instead of God. It reminds us of our fallenness. But these things, although correct, came to me thru my reasoning in my mind and not my spirit.When I finally slowed down and listened to my spirit via the Holy Spirit - heard the Spirit of God calmly speaking out Spiritual truths and love in correction and rebuke. He was saying, "I will show you real horror in Scripture as you and I spend time in the love and Wisdom.
Now lets go back to the Scripture...God wants us to understand the wiles of the devil - yes! But He does not want us to play in Satan's field of influence - mindfully.
I found out, when God had me quit the horror genre, that I had a hard time giving it up, it was a desire that stuck around for some time. And Satan would bring in many excuses: "I am just wanting a release is all," - "I need to be frightened to keep my blood flowing for good," (which was ironic when Satan would use that, because I haven't really been scared of horror for some time, and he would do whatever it took to lead me back to them. He even used, "Well as long as it is a good storyline it can't be wrong!" Really Satan!!? The Bible is my lead-in to all of my life now, and that includes whether or not horror genre movies can be beneficial and spiritually uplifting which there is plenty in there in truth and reality. But if you want to meet a need horror is lying to you about - try C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters," its very deep!
