Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Jackson

not passes, sabbath law is not passes, but it fulfill, it was once a week, with all kind of regulation include kill the violator, now simply by come to Jesus.

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 24:20, “But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on the Sabbath Day.”

jackson

is this an instruction to observe sabbath once a week?

Proof this is an end time prophecy is found here, for the Messiah has not yet returned;

Luke 21:30-33, “As soon as they produce leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is already near. In the same way, when you see these things taking place, you will know that the kingdom of God is near. I tell all of you with certainty, this generation will not disappear until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.”

Mat 24:32-36, “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches become tender and it produces leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you will know that the Son of Man is near, right at the door. I tell all of you with certainty, this generation will not disappear until these things happen. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. No one knows when that day or hour will come—not the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier forheaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Yahshua is practice:
"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read." Luke 4:16

jackson.

I do do not know if Jesus not kindle fire on sabbath. Is He did it after crucifixion? This law nail on the cross, mean not practice after crucifixion.

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Matthew 19:16-17

Matthew 24:20, “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”

If the Sabbath were “done away” or now “kept spiritually in Jesus” why would the Messiah give and end-time prophecy saying it is still relevant? Maybe you need to tell Him the correct way? Unless He is correct...

Jackson

it may because He know there are people wrongly observe sabbath once a week. For sure Jesus say, come to Me and I will give you rest/sabbath.

His Followers
"And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment." Luke 23:56

It was happen in transition time, up to act 15 christians are still learning did we need circumcision etc.

Paul
"And Paul, as his manner was went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the Scriptures" Acts 17:2

we do not know the reason why Paul pick sabbath day, it may because it is a good time to meet them, other day they may not
Gathering in the synagogue

Paul And Gentiles
"And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. And the next Sabbath came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of God." Acts 13:42, 44.

jackson

same argument above. If they gathering on Monday, I believe Paul come on Monday.

Here we find Gentiles in a Gentile city gathering on the Sabbath. It was not a synagogue meeting in verse 44, for it says almost the whole city came together, verse 42 says they asked to hear the message the "next Sabbath."

jackson

if gentile have a tradition gathering once a week on Monday, I believe Paul, preach on Monday.

Note: By the "Lord's day" here the writer means Sunday and not the true Sabbath," which the Bible says is the Sabbath. This quotation shows Sunday coming into use in the early centuries soon after the death of the Apostles. Paul the Apostle foretold a great "falling away" from the Truth that would take place soon after his death.

India (Buddhist Controversy, 220 A.D.)
The Kushan Dynasty of North India called a famous council of Buddhist priests at Vaisalia to bring uniformity among the Buddhist monks on the observance of their

"When you are in Rome, do as Rome does." Ambrose, the celebrated bishop of Milan gave rise to this proverb by stating that when he was in Milan he observed Saturday, but when in Rome he observed Sunday. (See page 70 in this Online version of Truth Triumphant)

Italy AND EAST-C 4th
"It was the practice generally of the Easterne Churches; and some churches of the west...For in the Church of Millaine (Milan);...it seems the Saturday was held in a farre esteeme... Not that the Easterne Churches, or any of the rest which observed that day, were inclined to Iudaisme (Judaism); but that they came together on the Sabbath day, to worship Iesus (Jesus) Christ the

Orient And Most Of World
"The ancient Christians were very careful in the observance of Saturday, or the
seventh day… It is plain that all the Oriental churches, and the greatest part of the world, observed the Sabbath as a festival...Athanasius likewise tells us that they held religious assembles on the Sabbath, not because they were infected with Judaism, but to worship Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath, Epiphanius says the same." Ambrose, DeMoribus, Brachmanorium Opera Ominia, 1132, found in Migne, Patrologia Latima, Vol.17, pp.1131,1132.

Arabia, Persia, India, China
"Mingana proves that in 370 A.D. Abyssinian Christianity (a Sabbath keeping church) was so popular that its famous director, Musacus, travelled extensively in the East promoting the church in Arabia, Persia, India and China." "Truth Triumphant,"p.308 (Footnote 27). (Page numbers vary in this Online version)

Spain - Council Elvira (A.D.305)
Canon 26 of the Council of Elvira reveals that the Church of Spainat that time kept Saturday, the seventh day. "As to fasting every Sabbath: Resolved, that the error be corrected of fasting every Sabbath." This resolution of the council is in direct opposition to the policy the church at Rome had inaugurated, that of commanding Sabbath as a fast day in order to humiliate it and make it repugnant to the people.

Spain
It is a point of further interest to note that in north-eastern Spainnear the city of Barcelona is a city called Sabadell, in a district originaly inhabited. By a people called both "Valldenses" and Sabbatati."

"They despise our sun-god. Did not Zorcaster, the sainted founder of our divine beliefs, institute Sunday one thousand years ago in honour of the sun and supplant the Sabbath of the Old Testament. Yet these Christians have divine services on Saturday." O'Leary, "The Syriac Church and Fathers," pp.83, 84.

Council Laodicea - A.D.365
"Canon 16-On Saturday the Gospels and other portions of the Scripture shall be read aloud." "Canon 29-Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday, but shall work on that day; but the Lord's day they shall especially honor, and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day." Hefele's "Councils," Vol. 2, b. 6.

5th Century
"The people of Constantinople, and almost everywhere, assemble together on the Sabbath, as well as on the first day of the week, which custom is never observed at Rome or at Alexandria." Socrates, "Ecclesiastical History," Book 7, chap.19.

The World
"For although almost all churches throughout The World celebrated the sacred mysteries (the Lord's Supper) on the Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Allexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition, refuse to do this." The footnote which accompanies the foregoing quotation explains the use of the word "Sabbath." It says: "That is, upon the Saturday. It should be observed, that Sunday is never called "the Sabbath' by the ancient Fathers and historians." Socrates, "Ecclestical History," Book 5, chap. 22, p. 289.

and Isaiah 56:1-6 shows Sabbath is for Gentiles.

the problem is not what early christian did. The problem is: is there any instruction to observe once a week sabbath in the New Covenant.

My response before end quote, because my iPad not able to do partial quote. Read after the word Jackson.

Is sabbath just a word, not trying to down play its importance but are we to strict sometimes on biblical word that if it doesn't fit our understanding we end up against it? i see this happen with the word baptism when the word really just means full immersed. so with the understanding that Sabbath means to rest, cease from doing or interrupt, even come to completion. could we see that there are multiple sabbath's in the bible?

Interesting concept, I believe. I would say yes, Im not sure what you are implying but I would think at leadt in some way if not all I would agree here. But agiain I dont know everythign you are thinking here.

But all usages and meanings of "Sabbath" must be found in the word, not limiting to but poiting out, there is 7th day Sabbath, there is Feast day Sabbath and there is the Scriptual concept of the Sabbath millenium. ALL, that is all are about the works of the Messiah and eventually looking forward to the kingdom of YHWH.

There are 2 "it is done" statements...

Fulfilled already
John 19:30, “So when
יהושע took the sour wine He said, “It is done!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

Fulfilled already- To be fulfilled in the future

1. Passover/First-fruits – Yahshua's Sacrifice(Passover), burial and resurrection (First Fruits – presenting Himself to YHWH)
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Removal of sin by Yahshua's perfect work as the Passover Sacrifice
3. Feast of Weeks – The blessing Holy Spirit of YHWH, coming into our lives stronger than ever

4. Feast of Trumpets – Yahshua's return and gathering of the Saints
5. Day of Atonement – Yahshua leads the army of YHWH to destroy evil rulers of this world and satan is chained for 1,000 years
6. Feast of Tabernacles – Yahshua dwells on earth for 1,000 years teaching truth and righteousness
7. The Last Great Day – satan is loosed and swiftly destroyed, the Kingdom of YHWH reigns forever

To be fulfilled in the future
Revelation 21:4-8, “And Yah shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away. And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Strength and he shall be My son. But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

my point in highlighting the 2 "it is done" statements is that most people stop at the first one not ever knowing there is a second one. So many people talk about the "gospel" but many I believe forget the telos or what the gospel is really pointing to:

Matthew 24:13-14, “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved, and this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.”

To sum up the point of everything I have ever said here on CC, the true rest is in His kingdom, everything else is just looking to that.

killing sabbath violator is in the word, not only one yodh, and not passed away, but you do not kill

not ot passed away doesn't mean we practice in the New Covenant.

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us.”

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

Jackson

if you love God you keep His command. His command for old Covenant is killing sabbath violator, and we do not keep this command anymore

His command in the old Covenant is observe sabbath once a week
and we do it now simply by come to Jesus.

Exodus 20:6, “But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws.”

John/Yahanan 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Or we can play pharisee and say "but did He really say that" Yes He said nothing would pass from the Law.

You always forget that not every command design for every body. Because you always forget, I give you the same example, hope you not forget anymore

Example: command to kill sabbath violator is not for you,

don't keep this command.

you may say, if you love Him keep His Command.

I say if you keep this command and kill sabbath violator, you don't love Him.

Are you to act as High Preist or it is sin also? Or are you twisting the word or ignoring parts of it to fit your doctrine?

All judgement has been given to the Messiah.

John 5:21-23, “For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son makes alive whom He wishes. For the Father judges no one, but has given all the judgment to the Son that all should value the Son even as they value the Father. He who does not value the Son does not value the Father who sent Him.”

Isaiah 11:1-10, “And a Twig shall come forth from the stump of Yishai, and a Branch from his roots shall be fruitful. The Spirit of יהוה shall rest upon Him – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of יהוה, and shall make Him breathe in the fear of יהוה. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and shall decide with straightness for the meek ones of the earth, and shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth (Rev 19:15, Hebrews 4:12-13), and slay the wrong with the breath of His lips. And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and trustworthiness the girdle of His waist. And a wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and a leopard lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together, and a little child leads them. And cow and bear shall feed, their young ones lie down together, and a lion eat straw like an ox. And the nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the adder’s den. They do no evil nor destroy in all My set-apart mountain, for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of יהוה as the waters cover the sea. And in that day there shall be a Root of Yishai, standing as a banner to the people. Unto Him the nations shall seek, and His rest shall be esteem.”

Revelation 19:11-16, “And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights. And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself – and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood (Isaiah 63:2) and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה. And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of the Almighty Strength. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.”

He is the judge, that is for Him to decide, and He will.

Yes, and that is a wonderful uestion, one I anwswered in one of my prior posts, but it was a bit long so I will repost in a short form.

We rest when the Scripture says, anyother "rest in Jesus" other than what the Scripture shows is a imitation rest of ones own imagination.

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:18)

For ye are dead,
and your life is hid with Christ in God.

(Colossians 3:3)

Nice, you took a literal physical death and crossed it with a metaphorical death (dead to sin)...

you completely ignored the context of what you quoted of Paul and Yahshua's words in Rvelation:

Revelation 14:8-20,8 And another messenger followed, saying, “Baḇel is fallen, is fallen,b Isa 21:9 that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her whoring.” Footnote: bAlso see Jer 51:8."9 And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand,"10 he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulphur before the set-apart messengers and before the Lamb."11 “And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshipping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.”"12 Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones,c here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of יהושע. 13 And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “in order that they rest from their labours, and their works follow with them.”"14 And I looked and saw a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was One like the Son of Aḏam, Dan 7:13 having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle."15 And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place, crying with a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, “Send Your sickle and reap, because the hour has come for You to reap, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”"16 And the One sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped."17 And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place which is in the heaven, and he too held a sharp sickle."18 And another messenger came out from the slaughter-place, having authority over the fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, “Send your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.”"19 And the messenger thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of Elohim."20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the bridles of the horses, for about one thousand six hundred stadiad."

The word of God in the OT say eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth

if you love Him keep His command. Is stab other person eye because He stab your eye, keep His command.

Jesus say

if you slapped your left cheek give your right cheek

Seem we have 2 totally different command here. Do we have to keep both command to show that we love Him.

not even a dot of His word passed away before heaven and earth passed away.

This concept is alredy displayed in my last post, I will put it into my own words. Mercy is better than judgment, however Yahshua will repay those who deserve it upon His return, we do not have to nor do we een know how to properly.

Are you to act as High Preist or it is sin also? Or are you twisting the word or ignoring parts of it to fit your doctrine?

All judgement has been given to the Messiah.

Jackson
why you ask me I am act like high priest? You forget again that congregation not high priest must kill sabbath violator.

He is the judge, that is for Him to decide, and He will.

you draw conclusions not based in Scripture but human reasoning, tradition or whatever, but not the solid foundation of Scripture.

f so you not stab other eye that stab your eyes because of mercy? Don't you say not a dot of the word of God passed away yet?

Not true, all that deserve it will be repaid for their crimes against humans and Yah.

To say I need to do something that is not my role or not yet my role is falsehood.

It is not my role to carry out Law only for a High Priest, Judge, King or woman.

This is not picking and choosing this is proper acclication.

“And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshipping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.”
I see you cut a little slice out of what I posted, one can;t worship YHWH and the beast...

and Scriptrue tells us EXACTLY what the Mark of YHWH is.

The mark of YHWH is clearly stated in Scripture in the “Old” and “New” Testaments:

Exodus 13:9, “And it shall be as a *sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah (Instructions/Law) of
יהוה is to be in your mouth, for with a strong hand יהוה has brought you out of Mitsrayim.”

The word *Sign is word #H226 – owth from Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, Hebrew Dictionary: meaning mark, token, sign, consent, flag, evidence of consent.

H226 אוֹת 'owth (oth), a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc., [probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing)], KJV: mark, miracle, (en-)sign, token.

So we see the word “sign” can be also translated as “mark” and this sign/mark represents “evidence of consent.” It is also key to notice that this mark/sign/evidence of consent is “on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes.” Now in Scripture “on your hand” means by your actions or what you do with the power/choices you have in your life. A “reminder between your eyes” would be your brain, thoughts or faith, after all what do you remember with that is in between your eyes? Your brain. So to put “on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes” into simpler terms it could be by your works and faith.

Now the first reaction by most is “but that’s Old Testament and the Law is no more.” Thus claiming this verses no longer applies because the Scripture says the Law is the sign/mark:

Exodus 13:9, “And it shall be as a *sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah (Instructions/Law) of יהוה is to be in your mouth...”

Is the Law “done away” or “nailed to the cross?” A study in itself… However lets touch on a few verses concerning this that we may have Scriptural insight;

Luke 16:17, “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.”

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh – the smallest of the letters – will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahanan, saw the holy city, YHWH Shammah, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father.”

Isaiah 65:17, “For look, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to heart."

Matthew 5:18, “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah (Instructions) till all be done.”

Revelation 21:1-2, “And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yahanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Yah, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Isaiah 66:22, “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make stand before Me,” declares יהוה, “so your seed and your name shall stand."

2 Peter/Kĕpha 3:15-17, "and reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Paul/Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him, as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, but grow in the favor and knowledge of our Master and Savior יהושע Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Awmĕin.”

This same principle found in Exodus 13:9 is supported by Paul here:
2 Timothy 2:19, “However, the solid foundation of Yah stands firm, having this *seal,
יהוה knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the Name of Messiah turn away from unrighteousness.”

The word *seal is word #G4973sphragis: a seal, a signet, Original Word: σφραγίς, ῖδος, ἡ, Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine, Transliteration: sphragis, Phonetic Spelling: (sfrag-ece'), Short Definition: a signet-ring, impression of a seal, the proof, Definition: a seal, signet ring, the impression of a seal, that which the seal attests, the proof.

The word “unrighteousness” is word #G93 ἀδικία – adikia, ad-ee-kee'-ah, (legal) injustice (properly the quality, by implication the act); moral wrongfulness (of charter, life or act):—iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong.

I repeat:

Exodus 13:9, “...a *sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah (Instructions/Law) of
יהוה is to be in your mouth..."

upon your hand and as a reminder between your eyes,

...Hand and head the beast has a counter mark: Also in the hand and head

Revelation 14:9-11, And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Yah, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulfur before the set-apart messengers and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshiping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.”

The word *sealis word #G4973sphragis: a seal, a signet, Original Word: σφραγίς, ῖδος, ἡ, Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine, Transliteration: sphragis, Phonetic Spelling: (sfrag-ece'), Short Definition: a signet-ring, impression of a seal, the proof, Definition: a seal, signet ring, the impression of a seal, that which the seal attests, the proof.

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

which is why you should be more concerned about the rfid microchip than who eats what and who keeps what day.

people are being chipped everyday, and yet you want to push the Law of Moses. wow.

the ones that "don't have rest day or night" are "the ones worshiping the beast and his image" and 'anyone taking the mark of his name'

that's what scripture says.

i never said you can worship both the Lord and the beast; there was no need for you to type 22 paragraphs about that.
