How many years did David reign as King of Judah?

David was king [in] Jerusalem, but he ruled [all of Israel] at the time.
He sat on the Eternal's Throne, over all the tribes. He was
King of Israel
Hmmmm.........after reading your answer of "zero"
, I started digging in the scriptures and have discovered the answer to this question can be quite complicated.
After reading II Samuel 2 - 5:12............
I would say that after the death of Saul and Jonathan, David went to Hebron to dwell and rule over the house of Judah for 7 1/2 years because it took that long for the house of Saul to concede and receive David as King of Israel, at which time David then began to dwell in Jerusalem which was 33 years.
I Kings 2:11 says:
The period that David reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.
So, the conclusion of the matter is I was wrong! Notice the scriptures never said David was King of Judah, it just says David reign over the house of Judah.
So sorry for the confusion!!! Thanks prov-all for catching it!!
