Greetings Professor Decon; open forum so I will cast my vote; "No" I do not keep the law because the bible tells me that if I try to "keep the whole law" yet I stumble in one point, it is the same as breaking all of it. Does that mean we can go on transgressing the law? God forbid.
Point: All of this biblical knowledge about; God and Sin and Grace and Mercy and the Holy Spirit, should have been covered in every Christians Sunday School Classes.
Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All: Hebrews10:15-17
15) The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
16) "This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds."
17) Then he adds:
"Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more."
Dead to sin, Alive in Christ; Slaves to Righteousness: Romans6:14-16
14) For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
15) What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? By no means!
16) Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?…
Favoritism Forbiden: James2:8-11
8) If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.
9) But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.
10) For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
11) For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” also said, “You shall not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
Please "Law Keeper" stop trying to, "Save Yourself"
God bless!
