So.. me and Uncle Bird watched this YouTube channel where ex inmates were showing different jail house recipes that they made themselves and this one Latino guy showed how he made pizza from tortillas, garlic, sausage, cheese and tomato salsa and how he cooked it up in a plastic bag that he sealed and put in hot water for about 20 minutes.
He said he had a pretty good chef business going while he was in prison making 80 dollars a day.
I thought it was an interesting show.

Uncle Bird did 4 years in a Florida prison in the 1970's and he said the only thing he made was hooch from various ingredients plus water from the sink and once it was fermented he'd test it on himself and if it didn't kill him then he went ahead and sold it to the other inmates.
The man took serious risks with his health...
Right now he looks pickled...

My youngest son did time in Arkansas and Missouri prisons. I gave him advice from my time growing up in Watts (LA) and in Oakland during my mission years. You have to understand the hate culture you have been thrust into. If nothing else, respect the fact that they can end your life. The trick to surviving is to make yourself less of a target. But that is not all of it. They also look for fear to exploit and they will. I have survived the worst places by standing up for myself and thinking there are worse things than death. If they can get you to grovel, they will break you. I also learned ways to kill someone without any weapons. My son found the advice helpful.

What?!? Do I have to become a hugger to be part of this group. Sort me out... like I should become nice or something. Well. I could try.

Me thinks you are already that and more! You’re a servant of the Lord sweetie and you are everything in Him lol as He is in you. Boy I’m confused, and I need a drink and some more sleep – another cuppa and some breakfast soon. :D

And - the hugs are all free – you can collect whenever you choose haha. And LOL this aint a group although we are a group of peeps, but what I mean to say is EVERYBODY WELCOME! Peeps do drop by whenever they want or are led. J

I had three uncles and a cousin that mustered out of the Marine Corps in the mid 50s. They knew the neighborhood was getting worse and they emphasized with me. The Corps really made them killers. That is why you don't see ex-Marines in bar fights, they know too much. They taught me one way to kill a man with a jujitsu move. Another move they taught how to de-knife an opponent. They knew I had a lot of fights ahead of me. I was a blond-haired blue-eyed object of everything my schoolmates hated.

Well Deade, if you ask me, you’ve been shown many things to help you on your journey – and remember that saying ‘What doesn’t kill ya makes ya stronger.’ I have heard that saying often! And I do love your cosmetics hardiharhar! :D

You have had quite a journey so far. As Abraham Lincoln said through his depression and the killing of American's in the civil war, "This too shall pass". I have found myself saying that often on my own personal spiritual and life's journey. I have made it a point to travel light and not get too carried away with material possessions. This helps me focus on doing the work that my heavenly father has prepared to me to do beforehand. You have done your heavenly father's work too and I am most impressed with how you have conducted your life in spite of harsh and the most difficult of circumstances. You are a true warrior in the army of God.

Lol

Those are hugs that I can afford. :)

You know being the victim of racism, I was probably the least racist of most people I knew. Because as many blacks that mistreated me there were five times as many that treated me well. Some even rescued me from bad situations.

God knew what He was doing sending me to Oakland for missions. There was a little residual racism left in my psyche. By the time I spent seven years working with the blacks it was all gone. It's so true, if god sees any hatred (hostility) in us He backs off.

Mark 11:24,25: "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." That ought is hate.

You both are, darlings – you’ve both had it so rough in different ways – I am in awe of how God works through the both of you kind gentlemen – you’re both so generous and sweet – how can this be? After everything you’ve been through? It’s because God in His awesome power and mightiness has transformed you both from the old, into the glorious new masterpieces that you now are – and I love you both dearly. Amen. Praise Him!!

I'm alive and stronger than I was so it apparently didn't kill me. :)
