In the Embarrassing Facts About Yourself thread, I put that I like
to watch Lawrence Welk reruns on Saturday night, which I truly do.
Watched another classic episode tonight.
Mr. Welk may be long gone, but he has definitely not been forgotten.

Drive in movies.

Strap on metal wheel skates

pogo sticks

green machine big wheel

sea monkeys
I had sea monkeys Couldn't change the water because they were so tiny. Dumped them down the toilet a week later 'cause the water smelled like a swamp. Some of them may have survived in the sewer system. Loved drive-in movies.

Oh my gosh! This post was my entire childhood. I had the original digimon edition of Tamagotchi. One time I lost it and started crying because I could hear it beeping, which meant it was slowly dying of starvation.

This thread is for nostalgia.

List stuff from the past that is "gone, but not forgotten".

-Lawn darts.
-Phone booths.
-Soda bottle deposits.
-Those fat-jiggling belt machines.
-NFL coaches wearing neckties, hats, and overcoats during games.
-Console TVs.
-The little plastic gizmos you put in your 45s so they'd play on your turntable.

Whatcha got?
I have one of those “fat jiggling-belt machines”

i think...

The one one where you can sort and dispense change?

(I dont use it but I have one)

No, the thing I'm talking about is the 50s equivalent of a treadmill,
except it didn't require the user to do anything but stand there and be jiggled.
