As a request I am making this thread to write poetry and psalms and of course I welcome all to post theirs as well. For the most part I will probably do it in the scripture poetry game style I made a while back where I use the random scripture generator and write a poem based on that other times perhaps I will simply write what is in my heart.

1 Corinthians 1:10

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Listen and hear with reverence and fear, a call is made ringing from there to here. Amongst the brethren and the ones he has called a voice rises and speaks from a child small and meek. Thus saith the lord says the small one and non shall speak till this small one is done. For from the mouth of babes doth my voice reign and so listen well to what you may gain. Have I said not to you in the time of old? Was it not my fathers will that you were told? Disunity among the body is what I see, from the young and the old to the slave and the free.

A kingdom divided amongst itself cannot stand for how can it when it will only disband? The enemy is wise as a serpent snake and you know not what is at stake, the kingdom of God is at hand and it relies on those who will stand. Seek first the kingdom of God desire not to be at odds, in love and unity strive to the end of the race your almost there can you feel the taste? Argue not the senseless fights and your hearts eyes towards my light. For only one who is looking forwards can the kingdom he chases award. My children who are lost and wandering lives their lives according to their own pondering, they are my treasures regardless of their endeavors. only in one accord can they be effectively be brought to your Lord, time is so short more than you can afford.

That's beautiful! It's amazing how you can poetically expound on a scripture! The words come alive theatrically! Love it!

Do another one! :)

Philemon 1:3-5

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

I make a greeting in love and respect offering only the deepest offering of peace and of the grace of which thee is well embellished and crowned by The king of kings and the Lord of Lords. In his majesty and his glory hath he robed thee and in his light and in his serenity has he bathed thee for it was his greatest pleasure to raise one from the ash and the dirt to crown as royal status. I speak of thee in my prayers day and night ever thanking and praising the king boasting of his works in your heart that he hath done in you. Can I shout to the heavens loud enough my praise of his works? Can I boast enough of thy doings?

For I have heard of thy doings and of thy works, Louder than the Shofar does thy love speak and more precious is thy heart than a still born child. For he hath poured the love that thy Lord and savior hath for all of the fathers children in thee and has done so with great vastness and reverence. Upon his face shines his pride in thee, in the heavens is thy heart praised as thunder. For thee hath taken upon thyself the the scepter of his grace and in great charity hath thee given the love that was bequeath unto thee. Oh How my soul dances and how my heart shouts with joy and thanks to my king for such a one as thee for it brings me such joy to hear of thee and of thy doings and upon the horizon is my expectations and unto the endless sky is thy spirit to soar

This isn't really a psalm as much as it is something I just felt I had to write, there is truth in it as I have never had a high opinion of myself but there is also truth in the way Jesus held me and spoke those words to me

In the still of the night and in the darkest of the dark, I stand alone in solitude of my own self. This place- I have known it, for I have found myself here many times. As I once again am in this darkness of my own self the place where questions arise yet answer never seem to come. it is a place that one questions themselves, who are they? what are they? is their existence in vain or does it really have a purpose of value? Such things as I have found myself pondering often thus is why I once again find myself here in this place without illumination.

As I stand in this familiar place a harsh wind begins to blow, not the wind of the one I love which has always felt cool and wonderful on both my skin and my soul but rather a harsh sharp wind one that pains my skin as if cutting it with tiny micro cuts all over my body. A dark wind that has a feeling of dread and terror in it as if the whispers in the wind relish how it makes me feel as if they are enjoying only the most exquisite thing. and it then the he appears, the accuser. He also knows this place well for it is he who brings me here within my own self. the smug and sinister grin that his face bares the absolute hatred in his eyes and the obvious giddiness of my suffering and eventual fall that radiates from him it is almost to much to take in.

He knows my fears, he has seen my doubts. Like a master marksman he knows how hit every weak spot in my being, every doubt, every fear, every worry and he does not hesitate to do so. He tells me how weak I am, he does not show mercy in telling me how useless I am to help anyone, he expresses in great detail how I can never be the kind of person my Lord is, how I will never reach that level of love that I so desperately seek. Oh how it hurts as he floods my mind with the memories of my every failures every time I was not love every shameful thing I ever did spoke or even thought, every single sin that I recalled seemed to envelope me as if everything the accuser said of me and reminded me was not just memories of my every failure but was me.

I was broken, I was in such tears imagining in my minds eye my Lord, the one who I admired so much because of who he was and the one I wanted so badly to be like merely out of admiration alone and yet how foolish I was to even think I could be anything like him. Everything was fading my strength was gone my eyes were closing as I began to fall to the ground the last thing I saw was the accuser laughing in victory. However as strange it was the moment before I hit the grown something caught me something familiar pair of hands I have been in before. in my minds eye in the utter darkness of defeat a light begins to glimmer a beautiful and awe inspiring light. This light had a name but it was name not to be spoken for it was to sacred even for the most holy of men yet somehow I knew this name but i dare not speak it.

The wind That I remember I love began to blow all around me, the cool breeze that feels so good on my skin and blows through my soul, how cool and refreshing this wind was how it stilled me with such peace and serenity like my soul has been so parch and then suddenly is sated with the greatest of water. It was then that the light spoke and with it the wind also changed, the voice that I have known and yet not known had this to say. I need you to be strong for me. With these words the wind changed into a fierce and fiery wind that was filled with power and strength. No longer in my minds eye the hands I had fallen in could be felt on my back as I turned my head to see who it was I smiled and called the one who bore them home.

As the accuser saw who it was that I had called home he trembled from both fear and anger cursing my Lord declaring his destruction and how he will defeat him. Jesus looked me seeing in my eyes how badly I wanted to go with and be with him forever, Jesus smiled and said the same words to me, I need you to be strong for me. Again I was filled with strength, my eyes were as blazing fire as i stood with the legs of an ox and I rebuked everything the accuser had said of me and with power and authority I commanded the accuser to leave my presence of which he had no choice as he began to fade away like black smoke disappearing.

Another well written poetic theatrical narration! Love it!

It's as if you shared your struggle yet, it is the same struggle of mine and of all believers and it's as if you can see our souls, while you share your own soul.

I've learned to not engage the "voice of the accuser," rather I simply say "it is written...." if I know scripture. If not, I simply say, "I am whatever God says I am." I do not converse with him. We have nothing to talk about.

Your writings are fabulous and God-breathed! Keep writing - you inspire and encourage us! :)

Actually yes that's exactly how it was to be. Sharing my own struggles while at the same time all believers I am actually very pleased you understood it so well. Sometimes God will give me the gift of empathy He allows me feel and understand the hearts of others even if i never met them or knew them. And sometimes it's something I myself go through other times it's something I have never experienced in my life but he always uses me in this way to encourage and help others which is all I have ever wanted him to do.

Again I had words that were in my heart to speak and I admit I did not feel comfortable doing so. I am not really one to speak in this kind of manner as I only want to encourage and to be love but this one had a fire in it that wouldn't stop burning until I wrote i kind of sensed some anger in it but as I wrote it the anger began to simmer. I honestly pray this was holy spirit lead as I dare not speak for God on my own accord.

May the words of the mouth be silenced and let the ears of the deaf be clean, open the hearts of the stone and let loose the flow his spirit for much I have to say and little good do I have to speak. A word to those who have been called by his name be still, and those who he has chosen listen, But do not expect words of encouragement nor a message of ease for this is not that.
I have this to say of you, you who would call yourself that of Christ. Like those before you you have lost your way, you have not remembered my commandments in your heart. You who is to be the light to the world who is to give hope to hopeless who has sworn to live according to way you were shown through Jesus Christ, how folly you have been how foolish has the way become.

Do not presume to speak the truth of my word in the name of love for love has been long forgotten. how many there has been who speak for me when I have not commanded to speak. How common it is for the teachers who I have not called to teach and to preach in my name, how many those who consider themselves wise and taught condemn and let loose their fury on all who would oppose them. It is for this reason I have risen the simple to do what the wise could not, for like the Pharisee they have blinded themselves to their own folly and have not recognized in their crooked pointed fingers who is truly being pointed too.

The Lord cherishes the soul of a tender child and rebukes the heart of the arrogant and the proud, those who have been persecuted for my names sake have not been those who should be leading my church but have been the weak and unlearned. How many lambs must be slaughtered in the name of the truth? How many believers must be torn down by their own brothers and sisters who of all should show my heart? If a kingdom divided cannot stand then how can a family survive? Therefore I have ripped the ragged clothes off of the meek and tender, I have sheltered the lambs who have run under my wings from the whips of my own people the ones who call themselves the ones of Christ.

You know not the wounds these little lambs have suffered for in your ignorance and your prideful prowess you have blinded your eyes and hardened your heart. Like a skilled hunter you feel no remorse and deem yourself right in your kill of the hunt, it is you who I have not known and it is you I will send off from my presence. These little lambs who have been beaten and bruised I will mend and make ready to wage war against the evil one, it is they that will stand in the face of utter horror and it is they that I will shelter in my wings. Do not think that in my love I will not hold against you my wrath, For I am both a lion and a lamb and I will not be patient forever.

I do not relish a generation who would speak in my name and under my name but do not honor it in their hearts, love is what you were called to be yet it is love you are most lacking. You argue and quarrel like children ignoring the ones you yourself were called to help, but instead end up throwing your stones in the name of truth. You bring down those who disagree with you and in your hearts claim that you are in the right, how ignorant is a teacher who has forgotten how to be a student. Either be or not be, I would rather you a lost lamb than a wolves in sheep clothing for at least the lost lamb can be found still open and new to my guidance as the Shepherd but a wolf only seeks to devour.

In the same way I would rather be hot or cold So do I say about being a lamb or a wolf

Excellent writing, once again!

A cry for all of us to return to our "first love" which is Jesus (the Letter to the Church at Ephesus). Also, the Letter to the Church at Laodicea about being hot or cold.

Excellent warning to us all! I love it and take heed! Thank you, Blain! You serve the Body of Christ well! :)

A psalm from my heart to his

Can you hear it Lord? Can you feel it my love? What is it that you hear? what is it that you feel? It is a voice that cries out in wailing hunger It is a fire that is unquenchable, It is my heart. For you my beloved I bear a hunger one that you know all to well, for you my love can feel it every day yearning and burning, crying out in desperate yearning. How long Oh Lord will you continue to let the cry of the hungry go without fill? How long Oh Lord must the fire go un quenched? Was it not you my love who promised the filling of those who would hunger for righteousness? Is it not you my king who is hungered after?

All my days I thirst for your heart only if to have you a little bit more, yet as the deserts of Jerusalem I remain parched. How desperate am I to be sated oh Lord, how desperately I reach out for you ever so strongly. But alas oh Lord why do you hide yourself? Why do you my love keep your child longing and hungry? As if a dog only getting scraps or a beggar having only what he can scrap from the streets? Can you not feel the desperation for your heart? Can you not hear the cry of hunger from your child? For you are only one my heart longs for, and it is your heart I greedily claim. How often oh Lord have I imagined diving into the ocean that is your heart sinking endlessly in the wonder and beauty I would find in it having all of it that I could desire drinking in the one treasure that in all of heaven I have longed for above all else.

My Love I beg of you withhold yourself no more, in your mercy sate your childs thirst and quench the fire of his hunger. Yet even so should you not I shall thirst even more and shall hunt you as lion hunts it's prey ever chasing ever hungering until you are mine. For great is the hunger of an adoring child and formidable is resolve of such a thirst. How your heart delights in such a hungry soul and how you treasure the thirst of those who would be seekers of your own heart, yet it is one of both pain and joy for though one finds joy in the hunger and thirst the pain oh Lord of always going without is close to unbearable.

This is a psalm of the hungering heart one from mine to yours, in your mercy oh Lord hear my words and sate my hunger and my thirst, let the fires be un quenched no more and let the waters flood in. Yet even so know this my king, I am coming for you and I shall find you.

Yes, you shall find Him! The blessing for those that do hunger and thirst for Him and His righteousness is that they shall be filled!

How beautifully you have described the longing of the heart and soul for God by being vulnerable and sharing with us the longing of your heart and soul for God!

Thank you, Blain! I have found, time with God only makes me want MORE time with God! LOL! :D

Great writing! Thanks for sharing! Do another one!! :)

This is a poem I wrote for my beloved Stephanie

In the vineyard of the soul I have found in her only the most exquisite of beauty, every small rose of a trait have I come to adore. For it twas not her face nor her bosom that lured my heart to covet her but the radiance that she shimmers from the depths of the heart that I wish to claim. An angel in disguise unbeknownst to her, that she would hide such wonder even from her own eyes baffles me. Her patience bewilders me and her wisdom astonishes me, her kindness exceeds me and her love endears me.

A trophy undeserved and a treasure I am not worthy, and yet she says to me she is mine and yet she declares me to herself. If the works of God is to give man a worthy wife he has given unto me more than in abundance, if there is a measure of love that can be only from god to forge between two souls he has generously blessed. Who am I to receive a blessing like her? What have I done that God might grant me a joy that tickles my heart even in my dreams?

I praise the Lord for her and I thank the heavens above, I have sworn an oath in my own heart that I might be the man that both my loves deserve. For my first love gave her to me and my second love is my hearts pride. For vast is my love for her and vaster is the love that we will form, though distance separates us our hearts are always close. She is my bride to be that I will honor and love upon the rock shall we stand from now and into eternity.

Also I dedicate this song to her as this song speaks every word my heart sings to her

Absolutely amazing and powerful! So rich and full of vibrant love for God and Stephanie!! Love it! Love it!

You must keep all your writings and publish them somehow! I can only imagine how your writings would sound dramatized in theatrical production in audio books!!!

I pray God would send someone along your path - a divine appointment! Perhaps you could try to make a recording for YouTube!

Keep posting them on CC! I thoroughly enjoy each and every one of them! Blessings for you and Stephanie, always! :)

Now that I think about it an audio version of these with the right voice actor would be amazing that is actually a really great idea

A poem dedicated to Stephanie's dad who passed away this morning.

In the warmth of the early morn a soul has found rest, going to the one place that is the best. For long the journey has been and great has the suffering been within but today in death it is grace that gains the win. It is wise to remember that death is not the end for it is only the beginning, for now in his kingdom there will only be praise and singing. Now dressed in royal robes and crowned with honor this brave and wonderful soul shall drink the vast rewards from the kingdoms bowl. In life he was a good father and alas now is to be fathered, for his kingdom come and his will be done and his joy today has received his precious son.

How proud the king must be and how great must the shouts in heaven sound, how lovely must be angels songs and how thunderous must the trumpets abound. For how joyous the father is for his child to come home at last, as he walks down the royal halls with it's splendor vast. He fought the good fight and gave it his all he raised a wonderful family and stood up tall, the cancer may think it has won but look where he lays now that it's all said and done. Not the dirt of the earth or the gloom of the grave but in bed fit for a king in the halls of the brave, mourn for the living not the dead for in his kingdom not a single tear is shed.

I am sorry that I could not get to know him very well and I could not do anything to ease his suffering and his pain even with all my prayers, I sometimes would even become furious with God in my prayers crying out in anger why he wouldn't heal him or at the very least ease his and families suffering but in the end I always will trust God in his decision. At the very least I am grateful that he is finally home and no longer suffering and I vow to become the kind of man that God, Stephanie and her dad deserve even if it takes me my entire life. When Stephanie and I become married I pray that her dad in heaven will have tears of joy seeing his little girl being married and I pray that I would on that day become a man that would be deserving of his blessing to do so.
