I am NOT interested in judging others who observe Easter in traditional ways!

This thread is about your claims that the KJV was uniquely inspired. I am stating my certainty that God would NEVER inspire ANYONE to mingle Jesus resurrection with fertility rites honoring a pagan goddess.

I understand what you are saying :) And the other is saying that since people believe differently from others, that only one person is going to make it to "heaven" (since I have yet to meet two people who agree on all points).

Its not a difficult concept to grasp lol. All of us have a different view of Christ in our minds.:) That Christ in our head is not the same Christ that dwells in a believer.

Yes I can,to be more frank,we can't change God or Jesus's or the Holy spirit's name nor can we say that there are more than one,for there is only 1 of each,I understand what you mean but it's just a matter of "accuracy" and "clarification" just as I needed to be "more clear" with you concerning a previous post.

What you believe about God is quite different than what I believe about God. People on opposing sides of an issue may say something like, they will not worship the same God someone else (another Christian with differing views) does. Does that mean there are two Gods? No, it does not even mean either one of the two thinks there are two Gods. It means we all have different ideas about Who God is.

My point was that the translators' decision to substitute Easter for Paska or Firstrruits does in fact mingle pagan fertility rites with the Resurrection as is evident when you walk into Walmart or any similar business.

And He would never share his glory with a pagan fertility goddess, an egg and a bunny either.

Neither would He have His word corrupted by having the KJV translators insert Easter instead of Passover when the word pascha means Passover and not Easter.

I gotcha and thanks for the clarification. I would say that it’s not my words but Paul’s words that I’m speaking about. Paul is birthing Christ in people that are already saved.... they already have the spirit of Christ I dwelling them.

Ok then I will ask you if you were a translator and you wanted to mark the only occurrence of Passover after it had been fulfilled, what word would you use?

But we’re not worshipping a different God. Our views of Him May be different, but there is only one God.

What KJV1611 is saying is you have a different God inside of you than I have. That’s not even remotely true. If we are saved, we have the same God inside of us. Our views of Him does not change this truth.

[h=1]Pascha[/h]The English word "Easter" is not a biblical word. It is thought to be a translation of the name of the Anglo-Saxon spring goddess, "Eostre". In any case, it is an English word which is used today to translate the Greek term 'Pascha', which translates the Hebrew term for 'Passover'. The Christian Church transformed the Jewish Passover, which commemorated the freeing of the Hebrew people from Egyptian bondage into a feast which commemorated the death and resurrection of Christ which freed humanity from the bondage of death, sin and evil.
We do not have a command from Jesus to celebrate the Paschal Feast. But the Bible clearly indicates the New Testament belief that Christ is the New Pascha for believers in Him, and that this is to be celebrated by Christians:
"For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival ..." (1 Corinthians 5:7).​
Thus the celebration of Christ's Resurrection became the first Christian Feast - the Christian Pascha.
