Just a question I thought I would propose. I believe Satan and Lucifer are one in the same but on another site someone says no.

The Op probably should have been... "Was Lucifer(capitalized to symbolize he was once for God)the name of satan in heaven"?Just a question I thought I would propose. I believe Satan and Lucifer are one in the same but on another site someone says no.

But as for your Op in a sense no satan is not actually Lucifer, because though he is mentioned under that name in the bible it's not quite "suitable" probably better to refer to him as a "former arc angel" since from what I have gathered here Lucifer is Latin and some people think it a misplaced title because of this.
But the point is that his "name" when he was "serving God" is certainly not the same as his name now since he is "against God".
Nope. Christian myth.
"satan" means "adversary".
"lucifer" means "bearer of light".
So terms are not the same, one is negative, the second one is positive.
If you are talking about the use of "lucifer" in Isaiah and the use of "satan" in the New Testament, they are one being, IMHO.
Lucifer is Satan. Just ignore the naysayers, and don't forget that Satan loves to promote myths about himself. So study Scripture, and discover for yourself that a very beautiful angel became the Evil One, and cause a multitude of angels to rebel.Just a question I thought I would propose. And this from one who actually believes the fantasies of Preterism.Nope. Christian myth.

Is Lucifer actually Satan?
No.
Its the king of Babylon. Either Nebuchadnezzar or his grandson Belshazzar.
