yes, i did go to another part of the bible

i posted one reference

now it's your turn, you can agree that that passage relates, or disagree

if you disagree, then we can talk about details of why each of us thinks the way we do

if you agree, then we can move on to stoning

Is there finally going to be a stoning?

Wouldn't you think that if we are no longer under the law written on stone we would stop doing that too?

I suppose I shouldn't find the humor in this.... But I can't help it.

The Bible calls the whole law, 'law'
The Bible calls the 10 Commandments 'the covenant'
The Bible also calls all the rest of the law, 'the covenant'

New covenant means new covenant.
Not under law means not under law.
Have died in Christ means have died.
Sabbath means Sabbath.
New moon means new moon.

It really doesn't matter how badly you want to judge Christians over whether they keep the sabbaths or not, no matter how much perverting, redefining and blustering you do.

Do not let anyone judge you with regard to Sabbath means do not let anyone judge you with regard to Sabbath.

No Dan,

We have some fundamental disagreements at the very core of our belief. It would be foolish to flail around in the branches when the real issue is the very foundation, the very Root of our beliefs.

I would love to have discussion about it. But one liners and "My scripture is tougher than your scripture" games, I have been drawn into these fruitless discussions before, much to me shame, and have no desire to be drawn into them again.

However, on the chance that you might actually be interested in intellectually honest discussions, why not start with a fundamental belief.

For instance, I believe Jesus was the God of the Old Testament, that is was Him, before becoming a Man, who spoke to Cain, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc.

Do you believe this?
i believe Jesus was the God of the Old Testament,*as was the father and the spirit

And yes, Grandpa, there is going to be a stoning . . . And it will be you!!!!

Evidence: (1) You will be hanged on the gallows you set up for Dan473 :p
(2) Your admittance of vices and backsliding (LOL!)

The only way out: A public confession that OSAS is not true!

(But beware, if you confess, you will get stoned on CC anyway! LOL! - I know - I have been dodging the stones for awhile!)

another fundamental issue that may come up

do you use the kjv as the final authority on scripture? or do you also allow modern versions?

why not?

Paul quoted secular poets

indeed, at Athens he quoted no scripture, only their poets

take away lesson: use what your audience accepts

I'm ready.

Too old to dodge anymore. Its the straight path or no path.

My only public confession is that The Lord Jesus Christ will not lose ANY of His Sheep. And He decides who are His sheep not people working really hard at being like the sheep.

Its ok to try and derail this thread. There is no way to derail it. 7000 posts. Its like that train in unstoppable. We need Denzel Washington to come in and save the day...

i guess even huge implies some sort of limit

everlasting, eternal, without end or limit maybe?

:)
You don't mean, could it be His grace, power, wisdom and authority is boundless?

Why, that would imply that nothing can separate us from His wonderful love...

??
