Yes there is a great deal of Christian persecution in India and
the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned a blind eye to such

His Hindu nationalist party is in government and encourages Hindus to
attack Muslims and Christians alike with impunity

A few Christian missionaries have been killed over the years.

Worse is that in Pakistan killing Christians goes unpunished and
is referred to as a State sponsored crime due to the infamous
blasphemy laws against Mohammed and the Koran which are used
to persecute and murder Pakistani Christians.

I think Christian persecution is worldwide, but a more serious problem in India and worldwide is slavery. In 2016 report was estimated about 46 million enslaved people worldwide, 18.3 million in India alone.

But Christian persecution is worse in Muslim majority countries than in India.

If an Indian Christian will choose between India and Pakistan, he will prefer to choose India.

Infairness to Hindus, not majority of them has hatred to the Christians of India.

Only Hindu fanatics persecute Indian Christians.

Yes there is. And every media turns a blind eye on it. When I was working in Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, our Church would get vandalized at least twice every 6 months. Complaints would be made about us being too loud even though our Church was in an industrial area, far from any residential area. I was hit in the head once with a stick by a group of thugs who wanted money from us. I don't think it's as bad as the middle east nor I ever wish it to be. But yes, it's there.

Oh my goodness, that is horrible you got hit. Persecution is worse i guess there, but i experienced it in my own country and was threatened to be beaten at university cause of my christian beliefs and im in australia lol but honestly that is nothing compared to being actually beaten or having your church vandallised etc. and worse death. But more and more the west are hating christians too that were founded on christ. The days are more evil.

Can you share a deeper look into this issue? Where would a person find out information about slavery in India? Web-Sites?

Here's just one Wall Street journal blog, but just type slavery in India in a search engine and a slew of info will come up

https://blogs.wsj.com/indiarealtime/2016/06/02/india-has-the-most-people-living-in-modern-slavery/

A lot of it is from owing money to another family etc. if a parent dies and owes money to someone that person can own their children until the debt is paid off, the children can't earn much money to pay for their own freedom so the children end up being property of someone else.

And because Modi won the this year election again,it is to expect that the situation from christians will become more worse.

India, Pakistan and of course China I think are the most dangerous places to be a Christian on the planet, They definitely need our prayers and support in any way possible.

I saw a documentay film about Graham Staines, and ausssie missionary to a leper centre in India, he was burned alive with his two sons in a jeep by hindu extremists while attending a jungle bible camp.

Apprently they claimed he was converting people forcibly and they have some law against it there? This happened a few years ago...google for details.
