And the word anger as been used 47 times just on this page and 28 times in the last 3hrs, a few posts off topic is perfectly okay but 3 pages about the subject of anger is way too excessive, don't ya think....
go back a few hundred pages and you will see about the same convo

You don't see it as fitting the discussion of not by works? :)
If it is impossible for men to never have anger in their hearts, to never murder in spirit, then they must say: it can't be by works because this is an impossible demand for any human. I will have to trust Him to change me. That is a change through faith and not by works.
Okay have it your way.

Jesus says He is the Life, He is the Way, and He is the Truth.

Jesus IS Salvation. We enter through being reborn in Him. HE is eternal life.

He is the Vine. We are His branches. As a result of being reborn in Him the fruit of the Spirit flows out of us.

If our focus is on something other than Jesus I believe we've missed it.

It is because we ARE saved that we can call Him Lord.

1 John 4:4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Looking at this Scripture we see these statements: We have overcome. We are saved. We are His children.

Consider this:

If you think you're still being saved, how can you call yourself His children? By what power did you become His children? And if you became His children by the power of the Spirit, why do you think you can perfect yourself by the flesh?

Amen Cee......good to see another sword of truth with all the working for sinless perfectionists in here who flat deny Jesus by their self help guru psuedo salvation....

Here is a closed heart. Listen to the words. "I will never buy your errors...."
In truth we come to any position for certain reasons and assumptions. If these
assumptions change, then so do our world views. But once we freeze on an idea
we have arrived at a place we do not want to progress from, that is what we call
our perfection, our compromise.

Look at what people write or share. If year after year it is the same, then they
have arrived at this place. Now if this place is with Christ, Amen, but if it is with
the world, then it will be destroyed. This is why we always need to stay on the
path and walk on until we become like Jesus, Hallelujah.
Why would I open my mind to either one of you and your street organ peddled false gospel? That is akin to Eve listening to the embellished word in the garden..think on that a bit pj!

this is why I am a strong proponent of reading the Bible all the way through, over and over. when you just read it in bits and pieces , there are over 33,000 verses , you can manufacture things that are not there. ( nothing against daily devotionals, I have mine ).
I agree a might add......to not only read but study verse by verse in context looking up all words in the original languages .....

God will never leave or forsake us if we stay true to Him.
God forgives us if we let go and forgive others.

This is the Lord telling us what is real.
Men miss-understand and always desire compromise.
They are speaking the truth as far as they understand it.
It does not make it true. The way you know whether it is true is through
the life examples of God working with others. We are not here to get an
intellectual assent, the Lord desires that we know Him and walk in His ways.

The words I am writing here are not because I worked out some way through
Gods words, they are Gods words and my life.

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus, Amen
More embellished truth here starting with the word IF.....Quote Jesus saying "if" when he made that statement or be found adding your twist to the word!

Yes! Actually one of the disciples found himself taken immediately to where a man was in a carriage reading the word and he explained what he was reading to him...it sounded to me like he was just sort of time-travelled there!
Actually that was more of location to location transport in a matter of seconds and way before Star trek.
