what exactly is it called when a person boasts about 'keeping sabbath' according to Law but they craftily devise ways to ignore what the Law says regarding it?

is wearing tzitzit a man-made tradition or is it a command from God?
it is written, He commanded that they be sewn onto the corners of garments, immediately after He commanded that a man carrying sticks on sabbath must be stoned to death ((literal, corporeal, physical destruction of the body)) by the hands of the entire congregation. it is written, to look at the tzitzit and remember.

remember: to put to death the man who carries sticks.

do you do the very same thing? according to letter? according to a certain ministration engraved in letters on stone?
Apparently, sticks and stones broke his bones.

Hello gb9,

So, I guess that is a no you cannot answer POST # 6469 (linked) regarding CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23 and the rebuttal posts to MMD interpretation and use of NOMOS and ENTOLE in post # 6461 (linked) and post# 6474 (linked)?

It is ok if you cannot you do not have to reply to those posts if you do not wish to. Maybe you can pray about them at home.

I do not state the SIN is breaking God's Commandments. It is God's Word that says SIN is breaking God's Commandments.

Lets see what God says.......

SIN IS BREAKING GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS

Romans 3:20
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. No, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN, BUT BY THE LAW; FOR I HAD NOT KNOW LUST, EXCEPT THE LAW HAD SAID, YOU SHOULD NOT COVET

James 2
8,
If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:
9, But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.

Now God's Word has defined what SIN is (Breaking God's Commandments)

1 John 3:4
WHOSOEVER COMMITS SIN TRANSGRESSES ALSO THE LAW: FOR SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW

Yep looks like PAUL, JAMES and JOHN all agree together that SIN is breaking God's LAW......

.......................

Luke 16:19-31 Is a parable of the rich man and the poor man Lazarus. The clue is at the end of the parable and the beginning.

19, There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20, And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Lets see....

23, And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24, And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25, But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.
27, Then he said, I pray you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house:
28, For I have five brothers; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29, Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30, And he said, No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will repent.
31, And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

In the parable the rich man was breaking God's LAW and the prophets. He did not LOVE and HELP his neighbor. He did not obey the 1st and 2nd Great commandment on which ALL the LAW and the PROPHETS hang

This parable is for all today...

SIN is breaking God's commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN have no REST and will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).
thank you for the answer.

Maybe he didn't wear tzitzit
He thought it was out of style. For that he's gonna burn in hell for eternity.
It's crazy how some people mock the things of the Creator, no matter if we think they are valid now or not it shows enmity to mock them.

A woman Christ calls daughter was healed by touching His
She was healed because she grabbed the tzitzit, representing the Laws of YHWH hanging from the garment of the Messiah.

Some mock, I will seek to understand the lesson.

Psalms 1:1-2, "1:1, ""Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers, But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night."

I don;t get it, we know everything YHWH does is for a reason thus to mock it is not onlt foolish but I wouold say dangerous. The tzitzit are a beautiful thing in themselves, add the fact about the prophecies about Messiah's tzitzit, quoted above, and the 2 recordinds we have concerning Him and His tzitzit I don't see how any could mock this and be of the Messiah. Possibly they don't understand what they are saying. In any case may thjose who truly seek Yah, humble themselves and learn His lessons where there is time. praise Yah my brother praiseYah!

the spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

13*And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

it's my understanding that Jesus didn't go back into town to attend a synagogue on those Sabbaths

he wss led by the spirit to worship God by himself on those days

I think you need to back up a verse or two:
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. Luke 4:14-15

The context is clear that it was only after RETURNING from the wilderness that He went preaching and teaching.
Yes, the verse you quote definitely tells us that it was the habit of Jesus to go the synagogue in general, but the whole passage makes it clear that during the time He was in the wilderness that He did not attend any synagogue.
vs 16 is a reference to what happened after He returned from the wilderness, not what He did while being in the wilderness.

Welll it seems He had a purpose in being alone in the wilderness, and that going oof alone was not the norm, but rather expounding on the word of YHWH on the Sabath was the norm for Him. Both instances have their purpose in His mission here of course, so to deny either would be error, and I am not saying you are Im just mentioning it, my point is the norm was for Him to teach the people and His time in the wilderness alone was not a continuall reoccuring thing that we know of.

Goodness Posthuman, do you just make things up now as you go along in order for follow your Catholic tradition that breaks the commandments of God.

Where you not promised that your questions regarding tzitzits would be answered if you make a promise to answer the questions I ask you in return? You never answer my questions but always expect others to answer yours.

I even promised to answer your questions first as long as you promised to answer mine later in return and you declined.

The offer still stands PH will you answer my questions if I answer yours first? If not, dont pretend you know about something that you do not.

SIN is the transgression or breakin gof God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

All I want to know is if a believer in Jesus the Messiah goes to hell if he is aware of Numbers 15 but does not make tzitzit for his garments.

Simple question, right?

Of course I'd like to know why or why not it is binding, and why or why not faith in the Lamb has nothing or everything to do with being condemned to hell, whether such a thing as tzitzit is able to nullify His atonement.

But it's basically yes or no. They write 5000 paragraphs in scoffing, accusatory response but they don't simply say yes or no.

Strange.

Lightbearer said 'no' -- because 'everything that physically separated the Jews is abolished'

But I do not see any scripture anywhere that says this, only opinion and traditions of people who want to judge others by part of law but not all of it. I see nowhere in scripture that Torah is to be broken apart into pieces you can ignore and pieces you must keep on penalty of eternal hell. Torah is one Torah. Not one jot or tittle!

Certainly however, there is no specific verse anywhere 'abolishing' tzitzit, so how is it removed if it is?

It is very much same question as 'do you go to hell because you went to a church on a Sunday' I think.

Well all I can do is speak as to what I believe. I’m going to state some basic beliefs before I directly answer it. I want to give a full answer as to not have others misunderstand me or accuse me.

So what I believe is;

that the Law of YHWH is still valid to the believer and follower of Messiah;

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

that we are to follow this Law under the authority of Yahshua the High Priest after the order of the Messenger of Righteousness, not any Levites or human priest;

Hebrews 4:14-15, "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has ascended into the heavens: Yahshua the Son of YHWH, let us hold fast our profession. For we do not have a High Priest Who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all ways tempted as we are--yet was without sin."

Hebrews 9:11-12, "But the Messiah came near as a High Priest over the righteous things to come, with the great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation; Nor through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once, for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

Hebrews 7:23-28, “For they indeed became priests without an oath, but He became Priest with an oath by Him who said to Him, “יהוה has sworn and shall not regret, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Malkitseḏeq. By as much as this יהושע has become a guarantor of a better covenant. And indeed, those that became priests were many, because they were prevented by death from continuing, but He, because He remains forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near to Yah through Him, ever living to make intercession for them. For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest – kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens, who does not need, as those high priests, to offer up slaughter offerings day by day, first for His own sins and then for those of the people, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the Torah appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the Torah, appoints the Son having been perfected forever.”

that there are some sins unto death and some sins not unto death;

1 John 5:17, "All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death."

Deuteronomy 21:22-23, “And when a man has committed a sin worthy of death, then he shall be put to death and you shall hang him on a tree. Let his body not remain overnight on the tree, for you shall certainly bury him the same day – for he who is hanged is accursed of Yah – so that you do not defile the land which יהוה your Strength is giving you as an inheritance.”

that Messiah took that curse upon Himself to be applied to THOSE IN HIM;

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

1 Peter 2:24, "who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed.”

Isaiah 53:4-5, “Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him smitten·, stricken by YHWH, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookedness. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Revelation 22:11-15, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart. And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.”

So to directly answer, while Tzitzits are commanded, they are not a sin unto death as far as I am aware, so not doing it is not worthy of death. This is not excuse to commit any sin not unto death but there is a difference. Now I know some people mock tzitzits but think wearing a cross is wonderful, I condemn nobody but want to say, tzitzits are directly from the mouth of YHWH and thus a very right thing IMO. Personally when I think about Tzitzits I think about the Law of YHWH and the healing in the wings of Messiah as prophesied and fulfilled. So to me they are a wonderful reminder of the Messiah and His Commands.

Now about faith in the Lamb being nothing or everything, I would say it is everything, but it is belief and works, belief in Messiah and doing what He said. The word faith in Hebrew is not simply to believe but to be steadfast and morally sound.

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

This is a astute point, I want to say everything to "seperate the Jews" is an inaccurate view, it was to seperate those who worship YHWH from those who do not. Hebrew or Gentile:

Numbers 15:15-16, “One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה. One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”

Exodus 12:47-49, “All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is nativeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”

With that said the pharisees had man made laws that said Gentiles were unclean and not allowed to enter into covenant with YHWH, but as the words shows this is not true, anyone who does as YHWH asks is accepted by Him:
