Hi ALL this was a reply to Jacson as an interesting study I was doing this morning for those interested in Hebrew 3-4 and how it relates to Matthew 11:28-30 so it is not really only a reply to Jackson if your interested and have some time have a read. It shows how Hebrews 4:9 refers all the way back to Genesis 2:1-3 and the origin of REST in God's Sabbath.

Some comments for your consideration below.
SIN is breaking of ANY of God's 10 Commandments (James 2:8-12; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) UNREPENTANT SIN is SIN you have NOT repented from and continue to practice.
Gods 4th Commandment like all the 10 Commandments are God's LAW written by God himself and spoken by God himself to his people. They are God's 10 commandment. They are not mans laws. (see Exodus 20:3-17; Exodus 32:16; Deut 4:13)
If you understand the OLD Covenant you would know that it was made up of two separate sets of laws. 1. God's LAW (10 commandments) to give a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and 2. The Mosiac book of the Covenant for remission of SIN. Together these made up the OLD COVENANT.
God commanded them to be kept separated and housed in the ARK of the Covenant. God's LAWs his Word says are FOREVER. It is the book of the Covenant that were Shadows of things to come pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation.
Now a Shadow is part of an unfinished work. It is pointing to something to come correct?
Now please tell me if you believe differently, in your view is God lying when he says the 10 Commandments are Forever?
How can God's 4th Commandment be a Shadow when it is a part of the FINISHED WORK of CREATION BEFORE SIN entered the world and before the plan of salvation was given (Genesis 2:1-3)?
Now let's compare Matthew 11:28-30 with Hebrews 4.....

Let's look at the origin of the Sabbath and God's 4th Commandment...

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

We are to work the works of GOD everyday through Christ through GOD. The Sabbath is special though. For the LORD had blessed the seventh day and he hallowed it, because in it he rested from all of his works that God created to make. (Gen 2:3 FCAB)
He hallowed it. Set it apart for Holy use. One day we are called to rest from the works of our hands and have a day in fellowship with our fellow brothers and sisters in harmony with GOD worshiping HIM and enjoying Creation.
And when the case arises we as Christ through Christ will minister to each other as the Spirit deems fit to the edification and furtherance of HIS Kingdom.
your definition of sin is wrong dear. You said sin is breaking 10 commandment, Before 10 commandment Adam sin breaking God law or command that is not in the commandment. Sin is breaking God law and follow man made law like what you do dear.
what type of sabbath you follow? If you follow God sabbath law, than you must kill violator, instead of follow God law, you accused God call for hate. This is sin dear, yes God instruct to kill sabbath violator but it doesn't call for hate.

Your definition of sin is incorrect. Jesus stated that the law is forever until earth and the heavens cease to exist. The law is the 613 rules written in the Torah. Sin according to the Bible is breaking the law. The 10 commandments are only a part of the law.

You are correct some laws are forever but some are also Shadow laws that are fulfilled in Christ because they pointed to him (e.g. laws for remission of sin; some annual festivals etc).

To him that knows to do good and does not do it to him it is sin. Whatso ever is not of faith is sin (not believing and following God). This does not disagree that breaking any of God's Commandments is sin including God's 10 Commandments.

Nope dear the bible says to him who knows to do good and does not do it to him it is sin. If you do not BELIEVE God's WORD and follow what it says then it is SIN.
