What "religious phenomenon?" While Trump was campaigning he made no secret of the fact that he was a professing Christian, valued the Bible he had received from his mother (or father) and made a public display of it, and that he would ensure that Christians and Christianity were not discriminated against. He has also taken a firm stand against abortion.
His Vice President is an unapologetic Christian, and that speaks well for Trump. He has been involved with Bible studies and prayer meetings, so Christians should simply be thankful that he is not another secular humanist and let it go at that. Only God knows his heart, so we need not stand in judgment over what kind of a Christian he is.
Could he do more for persecuted Christians? Absolutely. However, Barack Obama was blatantly anti-Christian and pro-Muslim, and some even viewed him as the Antichrist. So Christians should thank God for Trump.
