Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
(NOTE: Believers are under Grace not LAW. Also see Rom 6:14)
INDEED BELIEVERS are UNDER GRACE and not "UNDER THE LAW" because they have been forgiven from their SINS. If you are CONTINUING in your SINS however you are still "UNDER THE LAW" because you are guilty before God of breaking it.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
(NOTE: No one is saved by law/Sabbath keeping)
INDEED as explained to you earlier in the last post that was sent you that you have not responded to.
(NOTE: The purpose of God's LAW is to give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and FORGIVENESS is by FAITH)
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(NOTE: Time sensitive word > NOW! The righteousness of God = Jesus Christ has been revealed. Also see 1 Cor 1:30 & 2 Cor 5:21)
Absolutely. The Lamb of God that takes away the SIN of the World.
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: The righteousness of God begins with the FAITH OF CHRIST. And Christ's righteousness is transfered/imputed to those that place thier faith in Christ's sinless-redemptive-God faithful-righteous work. Also see Rom 4:3-9, Rom 4:22, Gal 3:6, Js 2:23, Hab 2:4, Rom 1:17)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
(NOTE: Justification = ""Declared Righteous"" thru the ""FAITH OF"" a sinless, faithfully righteous Christ's work. And the believers FAITH placed IN ""CHRIST'S"" sinless, faithfully righteous redemptive work. Accepted by God the Father, via the stamp of Christ's resurrection)
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
(NOTE: Believers are redeemed from sin & reconciled to God. Justified ""Declared Righteous"" By their FAITH, placed in Christ's sinless, faithfully righteous redemptive work)
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
(NOTE: The believer is Justified = ""Declared Righteous"" thru FAITH placed in a sinless, faithfully righteous Christ's redemptive work)
AMEN. Indeed this is called FORGIVENESS. This does not mean we are free to CONTINUE in SIN.
Hebrews 6
4, For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
6, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7, For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth plants fit for them by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God:
8, But that which bears thorns and briars is worthless, and is near unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(NOTE: that if we CONTINUE IN KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN after FORGIVENESS we are still IN our SINS because we have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son and do not KNOW GOD and are considered to have the same punishment as the UNGODLY. see Hebrews 10:26-31 matches well)
Ok, read the next verse: the """LAW OF FAITH""" is the """LAW ESTABLISHED""" in verse 31!
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
(NOTE: The """LAW OF FAITH""")
Here is were you become confused the topic here is RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH in Christ versus trying to KEEP God's LAW
The CONTEXT of v27 is...
19, Now we know that
whatsoever things the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20,
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21, But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22, Even
the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23,
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24,
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25, Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare
his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26, To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.
27, Where is boasting then? It is excluded.
By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
(NOTE: THE CONTEXT ABOVE TO v27 is the RIGHTEOUSNESS by the deeds of the law vs RIGHTEOUSESS BY FAITH in CHRIST; The purpose of God's LAW (10 Commandments) is to give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN
v20 This is not referring to v31.
V27 says; LAW of FAITH vs LAW of SIN is the CONTEXT;
v31 says Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. If v31 was talking about the law of Faith it would make no sense; eg Do we then make void the law (
of faith) through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law (
of faith). Not going to well for you here.)
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(NOTE: Believers are DECLARED RIGHTEOUS by """FAITH WITHOUT THE LAW, TO ENCLUDE SABBATH OBSERVANCE!!!!)
Your statement here does not agree with the rest of the chapter. Your teaching that God's LAW is abolised yet the Romans 3 teaches that God's LAW (10 Commandments) is ESTABLISHED through FAITH.
(NOTE: Salvation is through FAITH ALONE but if your faith does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE
v31 then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son)
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
(NOTE: Jew & Gentile justified = Declared Righteous BY FAITH not by works)
AMEN!
(NOTE: Some do not know what FAITH is for.
v31 Faith is to ESTABLISH God's LAW in the live of those who have FAITH in Christ)
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
(NOTE: Just as the LAW of LIFT superceeds the LAW of Gravity. The LAW of FAITH has superseded the LAW of WORKS.
INDEED ditto. FAITH ESTABLISHED God's LAW in the life of the BELIEVER.
(NOTE: If your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son. If your tree has no fruit then it is cast down and thrown into the fire (Matt 7:12-23; James 2:18-20; 26)
Context is always key, when you remove the text. All that's left is the con.
I keep seeing verse the same poster in this thread REPEATEDLY place verse 3 alone, out of context. The whole chapters's context is the new ""LAW OF FAITH"" has superseded the LAW of WORKS!
REREAD vs 27 it's the context for verse 31.
It seems your post has been revealed and your colors shown. It seems you are the one doing what you are accusing.
ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
.................
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).
