God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Your response:

So you believe Jesus was a sinner?

The reason I usually refuse to respond to you directly is that you engage in this type of intellectual DISHONESTY!

There is no point in trying to discuss anything with you because you twist people's words and even Scripture to try to make yourself look clever.

Well none of that is true. We either BELIEVE God's WORD or we do not. NOT BELIEVING God's WORD and saying it means something that it does not is dishonesty. I share God's WORD and you and you disagree with it because you want to follow your tradition that breaks God's Commandments.

All I share here is God's WORD. If you think God's Word is dishonest please take it up with God. They are his Word not mine.

To say that Jesus was "UNDER THE LAW" is the same as saying Jesus was a sinner because in the context of Romans 3 this is what the scriptures are talking about.

Disagree? Please share God's WORD and not your opinion. Calling people names because you do not know God's WORD is what those do who do not have the Word of God.

that is why I am not observe sabbath, because I live in NT
SIN is BREAKING God's Commandments in the NEW TESTAMENT (Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11; James 2:9-11).

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

True Sabbath rest is found in Christ Jesus, NOT in observance of one day a week.

Sabbath MEANS rest and also ordained for the SEVENTH year for the Year of Jubilee. SEVEN is holy... not JUST SEVEN days but it can be Seven weeks or SEVEN years or Seven hours (which is what most people SLEEP every night) It is all as God ordains.

just as MANNA from Heaven is not just the food eaten by Israelites in the desert with Moses. it is JESUS who is our Manna our Daily Bread.

why turn from this Truth to Jewish fables and traditions of men?

God grants us rest every day to sleep. lack of sleep causes medical problems because that is when the body repairs and replaces worn out cells in our bodies. its when we naturally heal.

in a way its God's DESIGN for us to REST and trust HIM.

here is a few Bible verse for people to ponder about SLEEP and REST and what SABBATH really means....

******

Job 33

14For God speaks in one way,
and in two, though man does not perceive it.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on men,
while they slumber on their beds,
16then he opens the ears of men
and terrifies[SUP]c[/SUP] them with warnings,
17that he may turn man aside from his deed
and conceal pride from a man;
18he keeps back his soul from the pit,
his life from perishing by the sword.

Romans 3:
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
(NOTE: Believers are under Grace not LAW. Also see Rom 6:14)

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
(NOTE: No one is saved by law/Sabbath keeping)

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(NOTE: Time sensitive word > NOW! The righteousness of God = Jesus Christ has been revealed. Also see 1 Cor 1:30 & 2 Cor 5:21)

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: The righteousness of God begins with the FAITH OF CHRIST. And Christ's righteousness is transfered/imputed to those that place thier faith in Christ's sinless-redemptive-God faithful-righteous work. Also see Rom 4:3-9, Rom 4:22, Gal 3:6, Js 2:23, Hab 2:4, Rom 1:17)

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
(NOTE: Justification = ""Declared Righteous"" thru the ""FAITH OF"" a sinless, faithfully righteous Christ's work. And the believers FAITH placed IN ""CHRIST'S"" sinless, faithfully righteous redemptive work. Accepted by God the Father, via the stamp of Christ's resurrection)

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
(NOTE: Believers are redeemed from sin & reconciled to God. Justified ""Declared Righteous"" By their FAITH, placed in Christ's sinless, faithfully righteous redemptive work)

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
(NOTE: The believer is Justified = ""Declared Righteous"" thru FAITH placed in a sinless, faithfully righteous Christ's redemptive work)

Ok, read the next verse: the """LAW OF FAITH""" is the """LAW ESTABLISHED""" in verse 31!

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
(NOTE: The """LAW OF FAITH""")

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(NOTE: Believers are DECLARED RIGHTEOUS by """FAITH WITHOUT THE LAW, TO ENCLUDE SABBATH OBSERVANCE!!!!)

29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
(NOTE: Jew & Gentile justified = Declared Righteous BY FAITH not by works)

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
(NOTE: Just as the LAW of LIFT superceeds the LAW of Gravity. The LAW of FAITH has superseded the LAW of WORKS.

Context is always key, when you remove the text. All that's left is the con.

I keep seeing verse the same poster in this thread REPEATEDLY place verse 3 alone, out of context. The whole chapters's context is the new ""LAW OF FAITH"" has superseded the LAW of WORKS!

REREAD vs 27 it's the context for verse 31.

So you believe Jesus was a sinner?

And yet God says if you are "UNDER THE LAW" you stand guilty before GOD of SIN of breaking it ...

Romans 3
19,
Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21, But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22, Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all and on all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Seems God's WORD disagrees with you.

Yet the scriptures above say that to be "Under the LAW" means to be guilty before GOD of SIN and breaking God's LAW. This is consistant with ALL the scriptures in both the OLD and NEW Testament.

Indeed as the scritpures say...

Romans 2
12,
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13, For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Romans 3
31
, Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Thankyou but I have a bible and I read it for my self and practice the NEW COVENANT promise of Heb 8:11.

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

But you DO observe the sabbath if you have rested from your own work and rest in Him instead.
Not really. The 4th Commandment says to keep the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY day and NO WORK is to be done on this day because it is a memorial of CREATION given in the creation WEEK. If you WORK on the SEVENTH DAY of the WEEK you SIN against God.

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

14not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth True Sabbath rest is found in Christ Jesus, NOT in observance of one day a week.
Why would you call God's Commandments a Jewish myth? God's Sabbath rest is only ever GIVEN to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. Those who do not BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD do not enter God's Sabbath rest (Hrebrews Chapters 3-4) Those who break God's Commandments SIN against GOD (Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11; 1 John 3:4). If you SIN against GOD you do not KNOW him and do not enter His REST

1 John 2
3,
And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Yet the 4th Commandments of the 10 says.......

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY , to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God : in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY : wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT

WHAT DAY IS THE LORD'S DAY?

Matthew 12
8,
FOR THE SON OF MAN IS LORD OF THE SABBATH DAY.

THE SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS JESUS IS A SABBATH OR THE LORD'S DAY IS SINDAY?

????????????? there is none.

ARE YOU WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH IF YOU ARE BREAKING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS?

just as MANNA from Heaven is not just the food eaten by Israelites in the desert with Moses. it is JESUS who is our Manna our Daily Bread. why turn from this Truth to Jewish fables and traditions of men?
It is written; MAN does not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the MOUTH of GOD (Matt 4:4)
The Jew as many christian today turn from the WORD of GOD in order to FOLLOW their own traditions that break the Commandments of GOD. Jesus says these who do this are NOT Following God....

Matthew 15
3,
But he answered and said unto them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4, For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.
5, But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift devoted to God, whatsoever you might have received from me;
6, And honors not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God void by your tradition.
7, You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8, These people draw near unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9, But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Are you FOLLOWING GOD? Or are you following your traditions (Jewish fables) that break the Commandments of GOD?

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

As shown through the scriptures earlier the Sabbath is more then rest it is about keeping the SEVENTH DAY of the week HOLY. No WORK is to be carried out. It is the memorial of CREATION the the day the CREATOR has set aside for rest and worship and doing good. It is the 4th Commandment. If we break ANY of God's Commandments we commit SIN.

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
(NOTE: Believers are under Grace not LAW. Also see Rom 6:14)

INDEED BELIEVERS are UNDER GRACE and not "UNDER THE LAW" because they have been forgiven from their SINS. If you are CONTINUING in your SINS however you are still "UNDER THE LAW" because you are guilty before God of breaking it.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
(NOTE: No one is saved by law/Sabbath keeping)
INDEED as explained to you earlier in the last post that was sent you that you have not responded to.

(NOTE: The purpose of God's LAW is to give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and FORGIVENESS is by FAITH)

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(NOTE: Time sensitive word > NOW! The righteousness of God = Jesus Christ has been revealed. Also see 1 Cor 1:30 & 2 Cor 5:21)
Absolutely. The Lamb of God that takes away the SIN of the World.

(NOTE: The believer is Justified = ""Declared Righteous"" thru FAITH placed in a sinless, faithfully righteous Christ's redemptive work)
AMEN. Indeed this is called FORGIVENESS. This does not mean we are free to CONTINUE in SIN.

Hebrews 6
4,
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
6, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7, For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth plants fit for them by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God:
8, But that which bears thorns and briars is worthless, and is near unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

(NOTE: that if we CONTINUE IN KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN after FORGIVENESS we are still IN our SINS because we have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son and do not KNOW GOD and are considered to have the same punishment as the UNGODLY. see Hebrews 10:26-31 matches well)

Ok, read the next verse: the """LAW OF FAITH""" is the """LAW ESTABLISHED""" in verse 31!
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
(NOTE: The """LAW OF FAITH""")
Here is were you become confused the topic here is RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH in Christ versus trying to KEEP God's LAW
The CONTEXT of v27 is...

19, Now we know that whatsoever things the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21, But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22, Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25, Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26, To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.
27, Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

(NOTE: THE CONTEXT ABOVE TO v27 is the RIGHTEOUSNESS by the deeds of the law vs RIGHTEOUSESS BY FAITH in CHRIST; The purpose of God's LAW (10 Commandments) is to give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN v20 This is not referring to v31. V27 says; LAW of FAITH vs LAW of SIN is the CONTEXT; v31 says Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. If v31 was talking about the law of Faith it would make no sense; eg Do we then make void the law (of faith) through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law (of faith). Not going to well for you here.)

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(NOTE: Believers are DECLARED RIGHTEOUS by """FAITH WITHOUT THE LAW, TO ENCLUDE SABBATH OBSERVANCE!!!!)
Your statement here does not agree with the rest of the chapter. Your teaching that God's LAW is abolised yet the Romans 3 teaches that God's LAW (10 Commandments) is ESTABLISHED through FAITH.

(NOTE: Salvation is through FAITH ALONE but if your faith does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE v31 then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son)

AMEN!

(NOTE: Some do not know what FAITH is for. v31 Faith is to ESTABLISH God's LAW in the live of those who have FAITH in Christ)

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
(NOTE: Just as the LAW of LIFT superceeds the LAW of Gravity. The LAW of FAITH has superseded the LAW of WORKS.
INDEED ditto. FAITH ESTABLISHED God's LAW in the life of the BELIEVER.

(NOTE: If your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son. If your tree has no fruit then it is cast down and thrown into the fire (Matt 7:12-23; James 2:18-20; 26)

It seems your post has been revealed and your colors shown. It seems you are the one doing what you are accusing.

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.................

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

posted from my phone, blessings!
You changing your posts now Dan? This I can agree with as we all are under the authority of God's LAW ( Because it is the knowledge of what SIN AND RIGHTOUESNESS (good and evil) is Rom 3:19-21).

Rom 2:12
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law

The Galatians quote is about the law on marriage. Everything about the birth of Jesus was right and proper according to the law, had it not been, then Mary would have been an outcast, but in point of fact, she was a popular lady and well respected.

The Romans quote is simply saying that regardless of any excuses we might make when we break the law, "every mouth will be stopped" when God judges us according to the law.

SIN is BREAKING God's Commandments in the NEW TESTAMENT (Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11; James 2:9-11).

ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

But you DO observe the sabbath if you have rested from your own work and rest in Him instead.
You right dear, real sabbath or real rest is when we let Jesus take over our weary. Not open our office on Saturday not olways mean observe sabbath

NT is defferent to OT

in OT physical adultery must stoned to death.

NT, if you see woman and lust, you are committed adultery.

NT judge your mind, hypocritical is a sin must repent
