Works justify us before men, not God.

Can you tell beyond a shadow of a doubt that a person who is doing the work of going to church every Sunday and Wednesday, getting baptised in water, and always participating in communion, and prays these long drawn out seemingly spiritual prayers on prayer meeting actually had real faith in God so that he is saved?

No. But that's the point. Unbelievers can do wonderful, amazing good works, but none will justify them before God. On the other hand, if one is a professing Christian, it probably would be a bad idea to be seen in a strip club. :D

True, And also just made my point, Works do not even justify themselves before men if we really think about it, people can be false teachers or belief in a false gospel, and still do works (although they are not righteous works, they would be deemed self righteous works then) At the most, They allow us to search deep in our souls (as james asked each of us to do ) and wonder, if I claim to have faith, but I have no works, did I really have faith at all? Or is it dead?

I think good works do have a place, of course, because of our testimony. That's what James alluded to. If we profess our Christianity to an unbeliever, they are careful to watch our behavior, and would be less likely to be open for conversion if they saw us living no differently than them. We are saved regardless, but for the sake of the lost, we are to present ourselves as what we are - ambassadors of Christ.

Have the ZOMBIES done anything such as LOVE and OBEDIENCE to do the will of God?

James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Do ZOMBIES have the Spirit?

Ask them but I'm not even sure if they'll be able to answer you because they surely can't even hear because they're DEAD.

Luke 6:31 do to others as you would have them do to you.
Who are the ZOMBIES? People who are dead to God? Why would you expect them to be doing the will of God? Are you calling people here lost? I wonder what evil lurks in your heart that you would assume to know the works Christians do out of your sight, or say they do nothing, or have not heard and believed the good news? People who lie are children of the devil, but they do not like having that fact pointed out to them.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God.
Worship on Sunday does not break any of the commandments of God.

Why do you keep telling this lie?

Does God need you to validate you faith before he saved you eternally?
This is a very interesting question.
And the answer is yes.

What is the difference between a delusion and reality? If you actually believe what
one claims, you act on it, which distinguishes one from those who just say the words.

The Lord can see the future and can see the actions that prove the faith is real.
But it is the actions that show the reality.

The logic experiment says God can see the heart so knows it is real. This is true,
but without the actual actions it is not real. So from our perspective it distinguishes
us from those who claim to agree but actually do not.

Jesus said the entire workings of the law are summed up in but one commandment to obey:

"Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.(John 6:28-29)

That's it, and that's all.

This is the theology of the "free grace" movement.

But unfortunately this does not change Gods eternal heart, purposes or ways of working.
To believe is to obey. And Jesus is God and also His word expressed to us.

Jesus was expressing to believe in Him was Gods eternal intention within the context of
everything else, because Jesus is the cornerstone of everything.

This is just admitting hypocrisy but there is value in putting on a good show.
Not surprising this is in opposition to walking in Jesus's ways.

Hi all...Isn't it just wonderful how Gods word come alive when we are seeking Him...

James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded...

These past days for one reason or another I have been under attack spiritually
:(...Before I was saved I suffered with mental illness for 30 years on and off having episodes here and there...Yesterday I was beside myself with doubts about my salvation , it has nothing to do with my believing because it is written on my heart that Jesus Christ is my LORD and Savior , but the evil one knows my mind only to well because before I was saved my mind was his play ground , and so today as I cried out to the Lord , He calmed my mind in an instance , true to His word He never leaves us nor forsakes us , and this is what He fed me and I am rejoicing because only He can keep me free...:D...

Philippians 1:6 I am sure of this , that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus...:)

Ephesians 1:13-14 When you heard the message of truth , the gospel of your salvation , and when you believed in Him , you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit...He is the down payment of our inheritance , for the redemption of the possession , to the praise of His glory...\:D/...

I can't help but rejoice and just wanted to share that in here...God's word has given me more understanding , I know many of you know these Scriptures , but for me they are a new revelation from God himself in my time of need , and I have wrote them down to repeat them over and have them written on my heart also :D...xox...
Good morning Rosemary, thank you as always for your wonderful testimony of His faithfulness! I add my gratitude to yours, and join you in praising God, for He will never leave us, or forsake us :)

"Logic experiment"?
since when is what God asks of us or has asked of people in the past "logical"?
Like say walking around a walled city, speaking to a rock(Moses didn't do it but still illogical) purchasing swords but not for blood shed, accepting the sacrifice of Jesus whom we can't see, these things are examples of why "not everyone" accepts Jesus as Saviour and Lord, because they don't make "logical sense".
I use to be totally logical but it kept me from finding and accepting Salvation, trusting Jesus is logical if one reads the bible but believing he exists and can help guide us takes more than logic.

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
romans 10

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Here you go people. According to this person, God, who is all knowing, who is all powerful. Who is Monica=scient and omnipresent. Who as his word says, 1000 years is as like unto a day, Who is able to foretell events thousand of years before they happen. WHo david said, know everything about him while is in his mothers womb.

This very same God has problems knowing if a persons faith is real or not. So he needs us to show him by doing works.

What kind of God is this?

Not th god of th Bible thats for sure.

The very term Grace means free, It means something is given they did not earn, it means they did not pay a wage to recieve it. It means it is a gift.

Free grace theology is grace theology. Adding a word (free) in front of it does not change its meaning.

Good Day!!!

Agreed!
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Shuts all "mans logic" down.
See, we all have tried to figure it out, in and of ourselves and failed, not understanding,

1Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I thank God for the little understanding He has given concerning Him and praise Him more
for HIS long suffering, trials ,tribulations, until i understood...

"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"

God Bless you and yours!
