At this moment in history, children are showing more compassion and maturity than adults. They are proving their willingness to lead and initiate change. I'm comforted knowing we are the next generation of leaders.

Finally made it home from work. Freezing rain all day! Almost got my mail truck stuck in this parking lot, which was a sheet of ice!

Hey, Dan, glad you made it home safe!

We have had freezing weather here since the weekend, when it started snowing and was sleeting and hailing all at the same time Saturday morning :p I drove home from my daughter's Saturday night in terrible weather: snowy slush coming down really hard and thick and right at me, not turning to snow proper until I got close to home, and then a little while later I noticed the flakes falling were the size of lemons LOL. By Sunday it was beautiful and sunny, and the roads were pretty clear, with very few icy patches. I am still wearing my boots :D Sneakers are no good on icy surfaces :p

Even so, Saturday afternoon was precipitation free, so we got to take the dogs for their exercise. They had such a fun time chasing around after the ball and each other, and it is always a joy to watch them being so playful together :) Often they are very competitive with each other, for the older dog still wants to be number one, though the younger dog took that title some time ago :D

7 years ago at a youth rally in my church, an evangelist was invited to preach. He mentioned how the adults love to say "the youth of tomorrow". However he said "no, they're the youth of today". That's why people should take young people seriously because God is using us right now at an early age to create change. Youth taking charge is what we're seeing, yes I know the protests today have nothing to do with evangelizing but it's proof that young people today are not waiting till they're older to fight for change.
