I love this poem 
Happiness is like a crystal
Fair and exquisite and clear
Broken in a million pieces
Shattered, scattered far and near
Now and then along life’s pathway
Lo! Some shining fragments fall
But there are so many pieces
No one ever finds them all
You may find a bit of beauty
Or an honest share of wealth
While another just beside you
Gathers honor, love or health
Vain to choose or grasp unduly
Broken is the perfect ball
And there are so many pieces
No one ever finds them all
Yet the wise as on their journey
Treasure every fragment clear
Fit them as they may together
Imaging the shattered sphere
Learning ever to be thankful

It is rather figurative, but I rather like the last stanza, and the lines "vain to choose or grasp unduly broken is the perfect ball." Real happiness is only through God and His Son.

That is totally not fair. Those are two very different questions, though if I were looking for a place where they overlap I'd have to say J. R. R. Tolkien. Not known for his poetry, but he did write a great deal of it. (even beyond what is in the LotR books).

Timberline Trail, Mount Hood Wilderness, Oregon - 41 miles (3-5 days)
Some visit Mt. Hood to scale its 11,000-foot heights, but this historic trail leads you around its belt. It offers scenic views, interesting geologic features, and plenty of wildlife. One section also joins with the infamous Pacific Crest Trail. This to me would be a perfect Vacation done in the cooler weather season I might add!
