Nope. There are those who have been killed because of their faith. Persecuted does not necessarily end in death.
Nor does it necessarily mean your right, saved and or on the right path........History is replete with peoples, tribes, races etc. persecuted for various reasons and or beliefs........

Please explain. My faith has nothing to do with my self-confidence but all to do with God and His using me for His Will
AMEN........Jesus is the beginner, sustainer and finisher of our faith...WE are KEPT by the power of GOD.......those who can lose it, must have a weak, inept god that cannot save them and or keep them by his power and or promises......

True. A good example is, Muslims persecute and kill people from all other religions - heck, they even kill other Muslims.

To commit suicide is to get your cross plant it on the ground climb it and nail yourself to it. In representation of Jesus he had an assignment and he willfully fulfilled it.
The subject of suicide is a touchy one for me as I lost my step-daughter to it. None of what you say above explains suicide. Perhaps you need to study that issue a bit further.

People need to state facts about certain issues and not just blurt out a sentence or two about something they may not understand or have researched. Doesn't make for much of a real discussion.

Here's a fact: Don't mess with John Wick's puppy or his car.

Seriously.

Don't.

I can't stress this enough.

You openly admit you sin......so.....which nature leads you to sin when you do sin? Your answer below TOTALLY contradicts the things you say......YOU OPENLY ADMIT SIN and then argue below that JOHN is speaking of two DIFFERENT distinct PEOPLE those who have ETERNAL LIFE and THOSE WHO DO NOT<---and your inference is that those who SIN are not saved......SO, by your own logic and admission of sin you are not SAVED.....the exact type of contradiction that comes fro the workers for......right here folks in black and white for all to see......Budman is right.....RALPH is not

The old man (our flesh) still sins, and that's how we still can sin and why God chastens us.
One person = two natures.

YOUR FIRST REPLY ---->(RALPH'S REPLY

Not two natures in the same person. John is talking about two distinct people. Those who have eternal life in them and those who do not.

"The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."-Galatians 5:19-21

See if you argue that all sin is the same in that we all sin, then that means from the passage above all will not inherit the kingdom of God. And if you say it's the grace of God that makes it so that even though we sin identically to the world we ourselves are saved, then you are saying grace is a license to sin and makes it so you can stay in your old unchanged life and still be saved. Which both of you vehemently deny saying but as we can see is exactly what you are saying.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

In the John passage, you can't be born again and not born again in the same body, so we know he is talking about two distinct persons, one who lives in sin because he is not born again, and the person who sins but does not live in sin because he is born again. It's impossible that he is referring to two natures inside the same person. That would make them born again when they are not sinning and not born again when they are.

"
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death. 15Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."-1 John 3:14-15

See you can't be a born again person who loves and has eternal life one minute and then a not born again person who hates and does not have eternal life the next. He's talking about two distinct persons. One who is born again, and one who is not. The difference between the two not being that one doesn't sin while the other does, but that one does not 'live in' sin while the other does.

Again:

That makes no sense when John says those born again will not, nor can, sin.

And Paul goes into great depth about the two natures in Romans 7:

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it." (verses 15-20)
Explain Paul, Ralph.

Did you say something....NOPE.......break the least GUILTY of the WHOLE......face it...your dogma vacillates more than the waves of the South Pacific during a cyclone......and he conversation I highlighted above is not talking about two distinct people.....that is another spot where your losable salvation, which is false, leads you completely off the rails of truth....
