Thanks y'all...nice things to say...It's not that I feel alone spiritually...my relationship with Jesus is better than ever.

I was married for over 20 years. Although it was very painful and I tried nearly everything to save my marriage and prayed continually...it was not to be. He continually chiselled away the trust I had in him.

It's been 7 years...and although I told myself I'd never get married again...I find that my feelings have changed and I long for that connection with someone in my life.
Thank you for your testimony. You seem like a good person. People can be difficult; but they are worth it. I have been married for 18 years. I love my wife and she loves me. The only way it has worked is through GOD's plan but both of us had to be on it. Serving one another and not ourselves, Focusing on the good and forgetting the bad, being content and staying busy.

I think these principles should be applied to everyone. The secret to sanity and a happy life; GOD!

Not really. I'm working on that. I have lost track of friends over the years & my family is a little Cray Cray. I spend most of my time at work. Unfortunately I've experienced a lot of nastiness from people who are supposed to be friends & loved ones.

You could volunteer to feed the homeless, that way you wouldn't eat alone and you just might meet another volunteer who doesn't like eating alone......just sayin'. :D

I used to go into the chat rooms here, but now all they do is talk about scripture 24 hours a day. :( I wish they would make the Lounge the entry point instead of the Bible Study room like it used to be in the old days.... Now they have this room called MarsHill. What is that???
I think that it's some kind of candy bar.

I feel lonely at night. When my kiddo is put to bed and the chores are done. I want to curl up on the couch and talk about our day or watch something thought provoking. I can always find something else to do though. I never run out that.

I watch a movie (hoping for a happy ending)
read
talk to a friend
listen to music
or some other important pursuit

I use youtube to find a lot of thought provoking stuff. They have videos on any subject. Right now I am trying to learn more about low carb dieting and intermittent fasting, and also there is this psychologist who gives really good advice on how not to be a pushover in life and how always being "agreeable" is harmful for a person's mental health..

This might find sad but I usually see myself as the underdog in life so when I feel alone, I basically feel the world is against me and try to convince myself I do t need anyone. I then try to do things on my own that only pleases me knowing, hey who needs people".

There are many suggested ways to avoid loneliness such as reading, writing about something or someone you like or love,
listening to the music or songs, etc. But the one that I find the most effective is, the word of God. The word of God is God
according to (John 1:1), and the word of God is God speaking. So, whenever I feel lonely, I just turn to the word of God.

The worst time of the day for me is in the evenings or during special occasions.
I either get on CC or text friends.
I know Jesus is always here and I certainly talk to Him...but He's rather quiet in responding. It's nice to have someone to carry on a two way conversation with.
Yup..when i come home from work and no one there to ask how my day went or going to bed alone
