You can call me anything, its ok, you won't find me go an a tirade of prove it etc. I don't really see people for what comes out of them, I see the person underneath, which can often be hidden especially in the internet world. I will always try to defend in a non-biased sense. As in my real life, I have always been a peacemaker. In my job, in my family - I don't like to see people fight or argue, to no end, with no-one learning anything, just like here. 54000+ posts and what has anyone learned really? What is the truth? Or is it just a place for people to vent on people who share a different view?
I think the words people use to paint a picture of another are without value, compared to the substance of a response. Maybe it is a lack of response that causes it, and it becomes easier to call someone names as a way of being right. However, this is defiling the words of another, really. Words can ALWAYS be put a different way. As I have tried many a time here, to try and understand, and get through to those who seem to struggle with the concept of being loving towards others, whomever they are.
Regardless of how people respond to us, it still goes somewhere. And I always try to speak in such a way. To that part, even if I am getting a response that is not from where I spoke to.
You say that Ralph tries to be subtle and constantly manipulate words. Is it the truth that no-one else here does that?
As for hypocrisy, we all suffer from that from time to time, because the body is ruled by emotions. And emotions flow in and out of different states. But the only emotion that is true in God's eyes is peace. Because if you have found peace, you have found God. Be still and know that I am God. I don't think its, go around calling people names and know that I am God. It is be still. Calm. Quiet. Humble.
Ralph defends his views in a calm way, why is it so hard for those against his views to do the same?
As for yourself, observe what influences you, and whether you or it is really coming from God. You are young and I think easily influenced by loudness. Some people grow up angry at something, and it alters their personality, pushes them away from God while they may well think they are getting closer to God. It feels like that 'emotionally' until it crashes. Emotions are of the body, peace is of God, and is the only true emotion, together with every branch of that emotion like joy. Do you feel peaceful?
As for telling Dave to use his brain, I thought maybe using his language might help. And yes one can take the smallest negative and exaggerate it. Well, to put it in perspective, take everything negative Dave has said to anyone, and there is the truth. Regardless of whether he happens to be right, I don't think that he is wrong about everything, but mostly wrong in his attitude which make the substance of what he says valueless, but only of value to those who happen to like 'anything' he says, or of value to people he values and surprisingly 'never' corrects even in their errors which they do make.
I like to make people think, and inspire some change even if people might openly try to dismiss that, or defile its value. Generally I am good natured, but I have my days where people become so annoying. I'm human just like anyone else here. I didn't float down from space as a spirit, no-one here has. I don't like to see people being attacked in a shallow way. It just isn't Gods way. It is the way of someone who struggles, but denies it, and then appears over-confident in that denial. "Lord, I am prepared to go with you both to prison and to death", he said confidently. It was an illusion. He would surely deny Jesus. Do those who speak boldly and confidently, always speak with grace? Rarely.

im also not perfect
how you call yourself a peacemaker
ive been regarded as the same
and replying in a calm manner
yes
this is ideal
its one of the reasons i have so much respect for brothers like BillG
if i was out of line by pointing out you behaving as a hypocrit
i will admit im not above acting like this too
but what you seem to be missing about dave
is he is lied about constantly
constantly attacked
i stood up for a brother when someone came against him
right now youre standing up for ralph
who is not always calm
and pushes a false gospel
you know what
can we start fresh?
ive never spoken to you one on one
ive just seen you post
do you not believe we are only saved through the imputed righteousness of Jesus
we cannot add to or take away from His sacrifice
and once you are born again
you are a new creature and saved?
(forever)
