Hi loveforgod,

I would have thought after 224 pages you would have realised that no one is saying we are commanded to observe Sunday? Where do you get that from? heres what you keep (falsely) stating:-
Once you realise this is a false assumption you may actually learn something and realise what people are actually saying to you!
Hello Phil, there is no false assumptions. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

It is SIN that will keep all who KNOWINGLY practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

You are one mixed up puppy my friend. Where in all of God's Word does it say God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 Commandments. (James 2:8-12)

All those who KNOWINGLY break any of God's 10 Commandments and are do not seek Jesus in REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS. Will NOT enter into God's KINGDOM....

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28, He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?
30, For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

These are God's Words not mine and yours to choose to BELIEVE or NOT BELIEVE. UNBELIVERS however have NO part in God's KINGDOM.

..................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Your interpretation is all mixed up again Jackson the priesthood has nothing to do with the 10 Commandments. The priesthood is for breaking the 10 commandments under the Mosiac laws for the remission of SIN and is why we no longer need to do burnt offerings anymore. These are the Shadows pointing to Jesus our true sacrifice. This is what the OP is about you should read it.

God's LAW (10 Commandments) God's Word says are FOREVER.

GODS LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever

God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14).

God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7).

It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35).

Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.).

The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).

It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31).

God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5).

Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it ( Matt 5:17-20 ).

The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Rom 2:18-19 ).

It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22).

The law is good if used properly ( 1 Tim 1:8 ), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Gal 3:21 ).

Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit ( Rom 8:4 ) through love ( Rom 13:10 ).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

Romans 2:12, For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law

How can the Sabbath be a Shadow when it is a part of the 10 Commandments and part of the FINISHED Work of CREATION given to mankind BEFORE SIN entered the World and before God's plan of salvation existed (Genesis 2:1-3)

Yep seems you are mixed up indeed........................

Your post has indeed been adressed. You follow the teaching and traditions of men that break the commandments of God in place of God's 4th Commandment.

The question was why and on what athority is this done? That is the context the question is asked..

Where in all of God's Word does it say God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

Read the question in light of the posts context. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

Now your just making stuff up again Jackson like to did before calling Jesus a Sabbath. Where does it say in God's Word that God's LAW (10 Commandments) are no more? If you read the OP you would know there is two laws that make up the OLD COVENANT not ONE. As said earlier it is the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN that have changed (Priesthood, Sanctuary, ceremonial laws and sin offereings). This has nothing to do with the 10 Commandments. You need to go read your bible and come out of Sunday school they are teaching you things that are not in God's Word. Time to leave Sunday school my friend and whorship God in Spirit and in Truth.

Well that has no truth in it whatsoever. You indeed do not know the scriptures or what they mean.

Where does it say in the scriptures God's LAW (10 Commandments) have changed?

If God's LAW is gone how do you know what SIN is?

If you have no knowledge of SIN how do you know your a SINNER?

If you have no LAW not only do you NOT KNOW what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. IF you have NO NEED of a Savior you are sill in your SINS and have NO SALVATION.

IF you have NO SALVATION then you are LOST come judgement day

If you continue the way yo uare going you will be in the class of people that Jesus says will follow the way that leads to destruction saying "have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?" Jesus will say "I NEVER KNEW YOU DEPART FROM ME YOU WHO PRACTICE SIN.

Matthew 7
12,
Therefore all things whatever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13, Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14, Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.
15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16, You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17, Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
18, A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19, Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20, Why by their fruits you shall know them.
21, Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?
23, And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity (SIN).

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.
You say the scripture is power of God, than I ask you If the scripture power ofGod or word of God, No answere
than you say It has No truth, what has No truth?

[h=1]Hebrews 7:12-19 King James Version (KJV)[/h]12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
Is this verse has No truth?

and you think you have more truth than this verse?

hmm

You say the scripture is power of God, than I ask you If the scripture power ofGod or word of God, No answere than you say It has No truth, what has No truth?
It is your understanding of the Scripture that has no truth in it. If you do NOT understand the truth of God's WORD how can you know the POWER of God's WORD? God's Word has truth indeed it is your understanding of God's Word that has no truth.

Hebrews 7:12-19 King James Version (KJV) 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Is this verse has No truth? and you think you have more truth than this verse?
hmm
Now really Jackson what do you think the LAW in Hebrews 7:12-19 is talking about?

Let's have a look at the scriptures...

Hebrews 7
1,
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2, To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3, Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like to the Son of God; stays a priest continually.
4, Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5, And truly they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

What law is this talking about? Is it the 10 Commandments?

6,
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7, And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8, And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.
9, And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
10, For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11, If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

What law is this talking about? Is it the 10 Commandments?

12,
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

NOW;
What law is this talking about? Is it the 10 Commandments?

13, For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14, For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15, And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there rises another priest,
16, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

NOW; What law is this talking about? Is it the 10 Commandments? Are God's Commandments carnal? Nope...
Romans 7:12 Why the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. What law is it talking about?

17, For he testifies, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18, For there is truly a cancellation of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19, For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw near to God.

NOW; What law is this talking about? Is it the 10 Commandments? Or the shadow laws for animal sacrifices and the earthly priesthood from the Mosaic book of the covenant?

20, And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21, (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said to him, The Lord swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22, By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23, And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24, But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
25, Why he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
26, For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27, Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28, For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated for ever more.

If you read the OP or if you know what the OLD Covenant is you would know my friend that the OLD Covnenant was made up of two key laws.

1 God's 10 Commandments which was made by God himself on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and

2. The Mosiac book of the Covenant for remission of SINS (Sin offerings and the ceremonial laws and ordinances of the Mosaic Priesthood and Sanctuary for the remission or forgiveness of when God's LAW was broken).

Both laws of the OLD Covenant had a different purpose.

1. God's LAW has the same purpose it has today it is the KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS

2. The Mosiac laws for remission (Forgiveness) of SIN are Shadows fulfilled in Christ our great high priest.

You do err not KNOWING the scriptures. I hope this help your my friend. It is not too late for you my friend if you turn to God and seek him. This is up to you. You can choose to BELIEVE God's WORD or not. Your salvation is now between you and God.

NOW if you still believe the above is talking about God's 10 Commandments show me in God's 10 Commandments where it is referring to the Levitical priesthood and SIN offereings?

.............

In the NT we are 'not commanded' to keep sabbath or sunday....we are now in the age of LOVE and GRACE when we can SHOW God our 'loving intent through OBEDIENCE to HIM...not because we MUST as in the OT but simply because we love and appreciate what He has done for us.
This freedom in Christ does NOT stretch to going against His Will...as trad christians seem to think by choosing their own day to worship God INSTEAD of the one holy day HE chose. Can you understand that ?

Our 'actions speak for themselves and choosing another day APart from HIM shows we are not in agreement with Him...what more proof does God want of such DISloyalty and UNtrustworthiness ???
If God can't trust you NOW could He trust you with an important job in the Kgd ? Think man !

Jesus doesn't put a restriction on what day of the week when 2 or more gather in his name now does he?
He doesn't say that only on the Sabbath does this work. So why are people trying to put me back under Mosaic Law?
We can indeed worship God anytime but SABBATH DAY has been designated BY GOD to be OFFICIAL HOLY TIME WITH HIM....and we are honoured to have this OFFER made to us if we are receptive to it....SOME are not by their own MISguided choice...it separates the sheep from the goats .
The 10 Commandments inclusive Sabbath are NOT Mosaic law but given by GOD Himself to all who are willing to HEAR HIM ! Ex 20; Deut 5.

i just explain It above Dear. It not explicitly mention 4 th commandment but

priesthoot change > law change is what the bible say, not my creation
'A Change' means a change....it does NOT mean 'abolished.
Sabbath day is still Sabbath day and still holy ...
just in NT Observed DIFFERENT than in OT....that is the change !

Hello RK,

God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the laws of Moses are different laws that have different purposes under the OLD Covenant. While God's LAW is forever the Mosaic laws in the book of the Covenant are the Shadows pointing to God's plan of salvation.

God's 4th Commandments is a Holy day meaning no work is to be done on this day unlike every other day of the week where work can be done.

Just like every other commandment in God's LAW if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of SIN. It is practicing KNOWN SIN that will keep all who do this OUT of God's Kingdom.

except the inconvenient fact that Sabbath worship is not commanded in the N.T. for gentile believers. Acts 15 does not list Sabbath keeping in the instructions to gentiles. then in Acts 16 v.4, Paul and Timothy were said to be delivering the instructions to the gentile churches. these instructions did not include Sabbath.

so. by your definition, Paul and Timothy were spreading sin, since they were not telling gentiles to keep the Sabbath.

There is no need for confusion here. God’s Word makes it very clear.

Let's have a look.........

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.................

Matthew 22
36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer............

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17, And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God>

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James...............

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.

12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word.........

Romans 13
8, Owe no man anything, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

Now let's look at the CONTEXT of the scripture you quoted from 1 John 3:22. Lovely scripture by the way.

1 John 3:22
23,
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as he gave us commandment.

Now as we have seen above God's LAW (10 commandments) through LOVE is the fulfillment of God's LAW who have FAITH. Now is that the same for this scripture here in John?

Let's look at the CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23...............

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
11, For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

So it looks like Jesus, James, Paul and John all agree together so it is unanimous that God's Law (10 commandments) are all tied to LOVE which is the power of God unto salvation through Faith. The FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE and the fulfilling of God's LAW in the hearts of those who walk by FAITH in the SPIRIT (Romans 8:1-4)

So my friend the FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE to God's LAW (10 commandments) If you have no FRUIT then you need to be aware that your tree will be CUT DOWN. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:26-27; 31)

Your building your house on siftnig sand and great has been the fall of it. Please this should be a wake up call to you to help you find your way to Jesus. If you reject God's Word you reject God's call to help you.

SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM. God does not want you to perish because he LOVES you. If you hear his voice harden not your heart but seek him today. Tomorrow may be too late.

.............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12).

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
see what I mean- just plucking out verses, conjoining them, writing his own ( or ellen white's ) commentary.

did John write Matthew? if you actually knew Scriptures, if you read the Bible all the way through, you would know that in John 13, John recorded Jesus saying that " a new command I give you, love one another as I have loved you" then, Jesus went on to say" by this, all men will know that you are my Disciples , that you love one another".
nothing about Sabbath, in a perfect place for Jesus to say it. he is Lord, you know.
Simply amazing. So Sad for you my friend so sad so sad.

You deny God's Word and his power and close your eye to the Scriptures.

Well did Jesus and Paul quote Isaiah saying;

Go thou unto this people, and say, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest, haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

You close your eyes to the Word of God so now your lamp has gone out. How will you find your way when the road is dark and narrow. So sad so sad.
