I wonder at the animosity people have in their hearts.

Does anyone need a clearer signal than, Jesus is not here, I have serious problems
and am trying very hard to cover them up.

Grapes and figs, or thorns and thistles.

Gentleness and a humble heart, or strident putting people in their place, which is it?

A young child in a nursery could spot the differences. People want spiritual authority
and recognition so badly and think bullying and harrying actually is the road to walk.

Is that surprising?
We all were brought up to believe a particular doctrine or belief,and so we "believe them to be true" this thread is about "verifying what is true" while "making sense" and not "going against our beliefs" so as not to "confuse the subject or each other" it's the same concept as Jesus explained"A house divided against itself cannot stand",it's not about "domination" it's about "understanding God's word" and "communicating what we believe to be true".
Yeah things can get dominate for one side but that doesn't always mean those people are correct it could mean simply that more people have "showed up" our purpose is to be "edified" if we haven't learnt what is correct and either accept correction or explain why we are correct and so don't require correction.
But all sides are "determined" so it's unlikely that we'll agree with each other but that's not the "whole point" it's not impossible for one of us to accept another's belief as our own but all in all if we "learn something" then this bible study is "productive" especially if we come with "one mind and one accord".

At the end of the day it all boils down to the simplicity that is found in Christ.....and the foolishness of preaching..

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

He that believes on the SON is not Condemned

He that believes on the Son is having everlasting life.

The above is SIMPLE enough that even a man with an IQ of 50 can understand that he is a sinner before GOD and that if he believes and confesses JESUS by faith that God will not condemn him, but rather save him eternally.

To those who like to complicate the gospel with religion, religious works, additions and embellishments to faith for salvation it is absolute foolish that a man can just believe and be saved....the same is true of those who teach you can lose it.....

At the end of the day...it is the minority that believes that eternal salvation is based upon grace and faith
At the end of the day...it is the minority that believes our salvation is based 100% upon the work and promises of Christ
At the end of the day...it is the minority that believes in the imputed righteousness of Christ and that salvation is secure

MOST so called Christian religions embellish the biblical faith based salvation with some sort of required religious work to gain, keep or maintain that which is called ETERNAL and EVERLASTING by GOD......

Be not removed from the simplicity that is found in Christ JESUS!!

You do the same thing Peter did....You assume that because we vehemently stand against your doctrine that we have animosity toward you personally....make no mistake....we do not hate you, nor despise you....it is your actions and your doctrine that we stand against....NNM did not curse believers.....yet you accuse him and even in light of numerous witnesses to the fact that he did no such thing you refuse to simply say that you were wrong....instead you dig in and blame shift....that is exactly what took place in the garden.....

back a warning. People love to play innocents, I never meant the curse on them no
on them because they really really deserve it.

And making it bigger, fonts just means you are so emotionally carried away you cannot
accept some simply do not agree with you. But that should be ok.

Wisdom. If someone with a good heart points something out that is a problem saying
they are lying and bearing a false witness just testifies about who you are and nothing else.
This is behaviour of thorns and thistles, not grace and love.

Jesus and the apostles were clear. We are called to live holy lives, to be gentle,
humble etc.

Believers put their faith in Jesus and some are committed to follow in His ways and
obey His commands. Unless believers truly let the Lord purify them and become with
a pure heart, it is all a waste of time.

Now I am sharing this not because all agree with me, or even it represents a theological
view etc. it just struck me how true this is. Maybe those here are stuck in pornography,
or wealth, or gambling, or luxury and pampering, or gluttony or some other addiction.

I know these realities can be hard to break, they can capture ones soul, and destroy whole
lives. But this is the fight of the gospel and the Holy Spirit for our hearts, to see Him set
us free. And I know people who have succeeded and been freed, including myself.

So this polarising language, making enemies, talking scripture like weapons where interpretations
are subtle and sometimes elusive, it speaks more about the hearts participating and what they
are scared of rather than the truth of love and Jesus.

Your intended meaning is only one part of this.

Budman, have you ever read Pauls letters, which are our example we are called to imitate.
So you have just condemned scripture and an apostle.

What is hard to grasp, is the words imply to actually walk like Jesus is wrong.

Now if this is the implication being spoken, they the speaker does not desire or want
to follow Jesus, which puts them outside the fold.

When praying and communing with the Lord, it is this spirit that I detect from some,
which is from another Kingdom and authority which I neither want any part of or
recognise in the people of God.
