Yes you are right on that.

No, that's where they were different, in their actions. Both before they went out to meet him (bringing no extra oil), during the call, and running to buy oil.

But see how the door is shut? There is no second chance.
Yes there is. Israel and Peter come to mind.
Both vivid examples of a second chance

It doesn't say heaven was shut,it says the door to the marriage chamber

Again,thats why Jesus said " ...but pray that you be counted worthy to escape...."

The marriage chamber is not the GWT Judgement, nor is the door the unpardonable sin.

Splitting hairs.

The parable makes a point,or paints a picture.

The obvious,incredibly obvious picture is the rapture,with half the saints ready,the other half not,and staying behind.

If you follow the story,every thing about both groups is indistinguishsble,UP TO THE ARRIVAL of the groom.

THEN,AND ONLY THEN,do we see the difference.

And in the story( the one you seek to change) it is not their actions,as you incorrectly point out,BUT THEIR INACTION that makes them ineligible.

They DIDN'T take oil.

Only christians have oil. The 5foolish HAD SOME,just didn't take extra

Nominal,carnal christians

No,in the flood there was not " one taken,one left"
The one taken is the rapture.

There is no place,no place,but the rapture where one is taken,one left behind.
You need to read my post over again. My point was/is that those of the "one taken" group are being compared to those "taken" in the flood, which are the wicked. Therefore the comparison in the parable is wicked to wicked. The "one taken" is not referring to the gathering of the church by any means.

So to be clear, I never said that there was "one taken, one left" regarding the flood. But that those who are taken are being compared to those taken in the flood, wicked to wicked.

I was trying to make the point that assertions about end times have been made for a long time. I have seen most of them be false. It therefore means that we need to be cautious about asserting things about the end times as fact. Avoid saying something as fact. Preface it with possibly, I think, etc. That is what I was trying to TEACH you.
I don't know what specifically, you are on about. You seem to think none of my study time has any value.

You are being VERY rude and dismissive.

The nominal carnal Christian is left behind.
See corinthians.
They were carnal,yet still christians.

The bible says " some are saved as throug fire. Saved,but their works are burned up"

This is WHY Jesus said " ...but pray that you may be counted worthy to escape the things that will come upon the earth"

Wrong "works." It was not the deeds of people that were burned up, it was the temple. The temple and all the surrounding buildings with their ornate appointments were called "works" by the people of that day. This is what was burned up.

Peter and Josephus were from the same generation/era. Both were Jews. Both would speak exactly the same way. Josephus describes the temple in this way:

8. Now although any one would justly lament the destruction of such a work as this was, since it was the most admirable of all the works that we have seen or heard of, both for its curious structure and its magnitude, and also for the vast wealth bestowed upon it, as well as for the glorious reputation it had for its holiness; yet might such a one comfort himself with this thought, that it was fate that decreed it so to be, which is inevitable, both as to living creatures, and as to works and places also...
and the works at the temple were very great, one would have thought the whole city had been on fire.

In 2 Pet 3, Peter describes the coming destruction of the temple by fire this way:

"...and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth (Jerusalem) and the works (temple) that are in it will be burned up."

The "elements" were all the gold and other precious decorations and materials of the temple. The "earth" represented Jerusalem. Thus Jerusalem, the temple and all the "works" inside were burned up with fervent heat. The melting gold ran down into the crevices of the stone foundation. This is why "not one stone remained upon another" as the Romans removed them to retrieve the gold.

We die, we face judgment, we go to heaven as spiritual beings. This has been the process for nearly 2,000 years. The GWT awaits the condemned as they are resurrected unto the second death which is eternal separation from God. Notice it is those in the "sea" (Gentile nations) and in Death and Hades which stand before the GWT?

The sea does not represent the Gentiles at the white throne:

Mat 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

As can be seen from the above Israel is also at the white throne judgment.

PL - I thought you already considered that Hades had been emptied in the 1st century?

I notice that you differentiate between those who are Christians and those in name only. There are many teaching a false gospel that lure people from the narrow path. Satan is working overtime through these people.

One issue is that hades was an ever burning garbage dump in Biblical times. If it ever went out it would have been relit. This was the example of hell.

Red herring attack. Depends on the translation.
Two distinct Greek words:

Strongs

G1067 geena gheh'-en-nah

of Hebrew origin (H1516 and H2011);

valley of (the son of) Hinnom; ge-henna (or Ge-Hinnom), a valley of Jerusalem, used (figuratively) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment.

KJV: hell.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

G86 haides hah'-dace

from G1 (as negative particle) and G1492;

properly, unseen, i.e. "Hades" or the place (state) of departed souls.

KJV: grave, hell.

Red herring attack. Depends on the translation.
At least four different words were all translated into hell. One of them was a place for the fallen angels, only. Of about two dozen translations, only six on Biblehub have the proper word in 2 Peter 2:4.

New International Version
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

New Living Translation
For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.

English Standard Version
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;

Berean Study Bible
For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell, delivering them in chains to be held in gloomy darkness until their judgment;

Berean Literal Bible
For if God did not spare the angels having sinned, but having cast them down to Tartarus, in chains of gloomy darkness, delivered them, being kept for judgment;

New American Standard Bible
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;

King James Bible
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Holman Christian Standard Bible
For if God didn't spare the angels who sinned but threw them down into Tartarus and delivered them to be kept in chains of darkness until judgment;

International Standard Version
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but threw them into the lowest hell and imprisoned them in chains of deepest darkness, holding them for judgment;

NET Bible
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into hell and locked them up in chains in utter darkness, to be kept until the judgment,

New Heart English Bible
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to the lower parts of hell, and committed them to chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
And if God did not spare the Angels who sinned, but cast them down in chains of darkness into the lowest depths and handed them over to be kept for the judgment of torment,

GOD'S WORD® Translation
God didn't spare angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, where he has secured them with chains of darkness and is holding them for judgment.

New American Standard 1977
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;

Jubilee Bible 2000
For if God did not forgive the angels that sinned, but cast them down into the deepest abyss {Gr. Tartarus} and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

King James 2000 Bible
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

American King James Version
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment;

American Standard Version
For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Douay-Rheims Bible
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment:

Darby Bible Translation
For if God spared not [the] angels who had sinned, but having cast them down to the deepest pit of gloom has delivered them to chains of darkness [to be] kept for judgment;

English Revised Version
For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Webster's Bible Translation
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment;

Weymouth New Testament
For God did not spare angels when they had sinned, but hurling them down to Tartarus consigned them to caves of darkness, keeping them in readiness for judgement.

World English Bible
For if God didn't spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

Young's Literal Translation
For if God messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom, having cast them down to Tartarus, did deliver them to judgment, having been reserved,

No I didn't - they aren't the same although some bibles translate it in one big mishmash as hell, it hardly established your claim that Hades is the burning fire of Gehenna.
