John 6:28-29 Then they asked him, “WHAT MUST “WE” DO to do the works GOD REQUIRES?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: TO BELIEVE IN THE ONE HE HAS SENT.”

Q: WHO IS GOING TO BELIEVE IN THE ONE GOD HAS SENT?

A: NOTICE THAT THE QUESTION IS “WHAT MUST “WE” DO?” SO IT IS “WE” WHO IS GOING TO BELIEVE THE WORK OF GOD, SENDING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS.

Q: DOES GOD REQUIRE US TO DO SOMETHING TO BE SAVED?

A: WE ARE TO BELIEVE IN THE ONE HE HAS SENT WHO IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD, THE SON AND THE “WORD” OF GOD.

John 14:12 I tell you the truth, ANYONE WHO HAS FAITH IN ME WILL DO WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:31 BUT THE WORLD MUST LEARN THAT I LOVE THE FATHER and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.

DO YOU LOVE THE FATHER?

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.

1 John 5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

SALVATION (THROUGH JUSTIFICATION) IS NOT BY (OUR OWN) WORKS BUT THROUGH FAITH. BUT SALVATION IS NEVER VOID OF WORKS.

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD (james 2:14-26)

WORKS WITHOUT FAITH IS SIN (romans 14:23)

THOSE WHO HAS FAITH BUT HAS NO LOVE IS NOTHING.( 1 corinthians 13: 1-13)

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

Matthew 19:25-26 When His disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?” But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, “With men this is impossible, but WITH GOD all things are possible.”

GOD IS LOVE (1 john 4:8 & 16)

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.

Romans 3:3-4 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! LET GOD BE TRUE, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”
1 John 5: 1-8
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Thats not what Jesu says

he says HIS SHEEP hear HIS VOICE, and when they walk away,. He leaves the whole flock to go find them, and when he does HIS SHEEP Hear HIS VOICE and follow him, those sheep who ARE NOT HIS SHEEP do not hear his voice and thus do not come.

You do not become christs sheep. Then not his sheep, then his sheep again, Tghen not his sheep.

Your either his or you are not.Even his sheep can go astray, but he always goes to get them and they ALWAYS return.
Did Jesus come to save that which was lost?

If one of His sheep becomes lost, then they have become as sinners in need of repentance.

Its that simple.

4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Luke 15:4-7

Lost = Sinner who is need of repentance; dead to God, in need of salvation, reconciliation to God.

Found = Someone is is reconciled to God; saved.

 • Lost Sheep:
I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:7

 • Lost Coin:
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10

 • Prodigal Son
It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:32

This foundational truth can not be changed by quoting other scriptures.

You forgot to add to your post that if we confess with our mouth and believe with our heart God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. When you condemn and call everyone to repentance it would be only proper to show us, "what shall we do to be saved." In stead you have close the door and walked away. With your bad news gospel everyone ends up going to hell, I don't think Jesus had this in mind when He died for our sins.

Silence may be golden to you, but wisdom shouts from the public square.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."Romans10:9
Jesus is our saviour and Lord, His word is living water to our souls, it flows in the victory we
have over despair, loneliness, emptiness, because we know the creator of the universe loves
us, because He calls us through His love shown in the cross.

No matter at the confussion many bring to this message, as we walk the road of love, acceptance
and humbleness, His Holy Spirit anoints us in all we do, Amen.

Forgiveness and confession through the blood of Christ cleanses all that has gone before, I encourage
us all to walk in His ways, to smile at ones enemies, to desire a blessing to them, to rise above the
confinds of mans praise or reputation or judgements, to know all that matters is the love from our
King, God bless you brothers and sisters in His glorious Kingdom

Did not know one person could have made such a large impact on you?
Is not our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ the one who has the biggest impact in our hearts and lives?

I am not here to say what any of you are or are not.

The whole point of discussion is to identify what is a position or opinion and what is
logical and a good foundation. People have many reasons for believing different things
and the logic may not be part of it.

So you can build a framework of belief and show how it works. You can also show another
framework and why you feel it fails.

Hopefully the people involved can respect participants and believe they come to look at the
issues fairly and with a good spirit.

Now just calling people names, accusing them of lying and slandering undermines any respect
or validity in a position. Equally disowning statements as invalid, miss out the step as to what
the statements actually are. Once one agrees what the statements mean you can then go on
to say why they do not apply. It maybe by clarifying what they mean, is really the reason why
some disown the statements while others embrace them.

For instance Paul says he is free to do anything, but he is actually saying within the confinds of
food, ceremonies, and sharing with unbelievers. Some would think this actually means in everything
moral, honouring God or the law. But it is always possible to take words out of their context and meaning
to try and create an obvious extension which leads to a total distortion of the writers intension.

As you can show with discussion between Whitfield and Wesley these points are centuries old, and it is
more about where you put yourself on the sliding scale.
Sounds like wise words to me.....God bless you all, whatever you wish to achieve, because Gods
heart is always for the sinner to become a saint and know His heart, Amen

Who is this "PeterJens" you are talking about?
If he agrees with me, Amen, if not, God bless, the Lord be praised.
You're PeterJens. When you Anglicized your words since your return under an American flag instead of a British flag and your new moniker, it was a give away, in addition to your writing style. http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/161871-partakers-holy-ghost-12.html#post3407410

Note post 239.

So, since you're back, you're not going to call others lost and other names on here like you did under your banned account, while praising yourself for your wisdom, love, obedience, humility &c? Right?

Are you going to call the imputed righteousness of Christ "Jesus Spray" or "...a neat little trick that doesn't work" or, state again that "Having security in Jesus is an idol" and "The cross of Christ is not enough?" And tell others this same Christ denying thing as well: "This is the truth of your position. You put too much on Christ and too little on yourself."

Or does all this poor behavior, name calling, blasphemy and mockery of the finished work of Christ just come in time and you're just building up to doing it again?

If you call glazed eyes an impact well yeah...
 The great thing about the Lord, is it is like a young dad who has just become a father,
he just wants to tell everyone what has happened and the treasure has entered into his
life. It overflows so much, the reaction of others is not important.

Stephen knew this reality, when he stood up and testified before the sanhedrin.
Their reaction did not matter, because He was bringing glory to Jesus the King.

It was staggering considering only 2 months earlier they were just a group of fearful
disciples of a strange teacher who claimed to be the Messiah, and they all ran away
when He was struck down. What a change in their hearts, what a work of the Holy
Spirit and victory over sin and death.

Intentionally lying about commitments and not taking care is sinful behaviour.
Our focus needs to be on service and care. The Lord will convict as needed, but often
excuses will abound when things come up that mean actual action is needed.

God bless you all
Peter was fond of saying that too..

Hello p4t,

Thankyou for your forth right statements.

The joke is, all these statements only have significance if they bring about insight and
change in the listener.

God bless you, may the Lords love bring wisdom and insight into your life.
Some mistake responses for a certain expression of emotion, but in truth I really just
want to bless you, and bring you Gods love and peace. \o/ glory to the King
