Not that the above is exactly true, but you've left only you standing. Everyone else has been condemned and shot to death.

Congrats!
And your own absolute and utterly cowardly silence on this issue would force John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham and even the Late RC Sproul and other leaders you admire and receive from to shun you and your church.

When you read 'bless and do not curse' do you really think by 'curse' the meaning is a list of socially impolite vocabulary?

Good for you, you can cut and paste scripture....still stand by my comment....10 to 1 God is not offended at someone using BS in a sentence.....especially since it was not defined.........just assumed.....
If I was the only one that was assuming what it meant, then why did your fan club run to your defense and admit they know what you meant even before you started posting replies?

Pearson's correlation coefficient for the win!

although, us statisticians always square this number -- r[SUP]2[/SUP] is a great measure of variation, but r by itself may be either positive or negative ((because any particular x[SUB]i[/SUB] may be smaller than the mean x, y[SUB]i[/SUB] smaller than the mean y of a distribution)) -- which means you may get a deceptive result of r = 0 ((or close to 0)) when in fact there is a lot of variation, but the positive & negative instances tend to cancel each other out.
Did all this when studying for my accountancy exams. Passed this particular module (got no issue idea how) but never had to use it.

I actually failed math at school.

My son is doing advanced math degree with computing science at uni.

When I looked at some of the equations he shows me it blows my mind.

Jesus lost his cool.. He called people names. He brandished a whip and may even have tried to use it on the money changer's in the temple.. Which begs the question, since Jesus WAS fully human and lost His temper on many occasions, was HE God's enemy? No, He wasn't..

EVERY ONE loses their temper from time to time. You do, I do, so does Dcon and everyone else here. If we become God's enemy just because we lose our temper and swear, then we are all doomed.. Good thing we're saved and have His forgiveness. :)

Simple words coming from a simple mind.. lol

Moses and Israel in the wilderness is not a good example for your post. Moses had to add his own judgements along with the 10 commandments, because of the unchanged hearts. They acted out of the human nature, or what we all are when first born. The natural man. So laws didn't help then and they don't help now. And Moses lost the right to the promised land for striking the rock twice. So his anointing was only outward and faded away.

Notso with the body of Christ. Plus the perfect builder is Jesus, and He has patience with us. After all, He has the faith that what He has started, He will finish it. Even when we don't. So relax, teach the truth, and trust the Lord. He knows what and how to build. After all, He's a carpenter.
My comment about Moses was inline and correct given the context I was making about Spiritual leaders.

You went off the rails in the spirit of defense.

This is good advice for all: self control, get over yourself. Pun intended.

Did I just read the above?
It seems to be saying behaviour and language are now not important, and communicating
frustration with "abusive language" is not something Jesus and the apostles address.
But this is the typical ways of the world and its passions.

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
James 4:1-3

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Titus 2:11-14

Re: When you have concerns about vibrant and heated discussions, please read this.
I guess I assumed everyone knew what the essentials are...
Here are examples of the essentials...

(These are here to give a general idea of what is essential to the faith, it's not a comprehensive doctrinal statement from this site.)
1. The deity of Jesus.
2. The inspiration and authority of the Bible as found in the 66 books of the Bible.
3. Faith in the crucixition, death and resurrection of Jesus is the only way to reconcile you to relationship with God.
4. Jesus is coming back again!
5. Believers should seek to live for God and not the world.

I may have missed some, but that should give you an idea.
Timing of end times events isn't an essential. Calvinism vs non calvinism isn't an essential. Which version of the Bible to read isn't generally an essential, unless it's a version made by a sect that teaches against the esssentials of the faith.
Those should give you an idea. That list isn't comphrensive. If you have a question about something, send me a CC mail and I'll get back to you on it. :)

There is nothing wrong with discussion that is vibrant or passionate. So please don't be turned off by that.
On the other hand, we will step in if we see any of these.....

    1. Blatant personal attacks. (This means actually attacking someone. It doesn't mean when someone fails to believe something you believe.)
    2. Blatant false teachings against the essentials of our faith. (We'll allow some users for a time to discuss issues that are against the faith, but if time passes and they keep it up, they will be dealt with.)
    3.Perverse talk and swearing.

If you see any of the things listed above, please report them, using the report thread link. But please don't report something if it's just an opinion you don't agree with. That kind of takes up time some of us could be giving to other areas of concern on the site.

Also, if you're going to report something to a moderator, please be sure you can specifically show where the offense is located and please make sure it fits within the list of things we step in for. It's very helpful for us if you just click the report post link.

When you contact us in the room about a post, we usually have no idea where to look to begin with and we don't have the time to read an entire thread to find the post that is offensive. The best thing you can do is just use the report thread link.

So please don't report things to us just because someone said something you disagree with and it makes you mad. Yet don't be hesitant to report something that fits the list of blatant offenses we should step in and address.

    Thanks

    -END-

Night night time for me.
It's amazing to know that Gods mercy is new every morning and his faithfulness is great.
May we walk in the same mercy to each other.

Sleep well my friends.
Those of starting your day, have a blessed day.

Let us all remember.

God loves us as much as he loves Jesus.
Therefore God loves your brother/sister as much as he loves you.
