Before I start, who is this guy? I have a problem with anyone that is trying to teach something from the Bible and do not even know the correct name of a book in the Bible, he calls the book of Revelation the book of RevelationS if you are trying to teach from the Bible I would suggest that you know the correct name of a book of the Bible that you are going to quote many times.
Brother you forgot verse 24 “And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
That has not happened yet and we need to also look at Daniel 9:27 as well.
“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.”
Even until the consummation which has not happened yet. We need to refer to verse 24 of Danuel chapter 9 because it is an overall explaination of the verses that follow it, it is how the Jews wrote things like in Genesis 1:1-2 then 1:3-31 give a deeper description of the of verses 1-2. Here is Daniel 9:24
“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.”
As we can see everlasting righteousness has not yet come and prophecy has not been totally fulfilled, let's look at how the, Contemporary English Version translates Daniel 9:24
“God has decided that for seventy weeks, your people and your holy city must suffer as the price of their sins. Then evil will disappear, and justice will rule forever; the visions and words of the prophets will come true, and a most holy place will be dedicated.”
The Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition translates it like this, “Seventy weeks are shortened upon thy people, and upon thy holy city, that transgression may be finished, and sin may have an end, and iniquity may be abolished; and everlasting justice may be brought; and vision and prophecy may be fulfilled; and the saint of saints may be anointed.”
Here is how the International Standard Version translates it. “Seventy weeks have been decreed concerning your people and your holy city: to restrain transgression, to put an end to sin, to make atonement for lawlessness, to establish everlasting righteousness, to conclude vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.”
As we all know vision and prophecy has not been fulfilled, been concluded or been fulfilled there are many prophecies that still need to be fulfilled. Makin Daniel 9:24-27 has not been fulfilled yet so we still have more to be fulfilled.
We can all see that not all of this prophecy has been fulfilled and there is more to come, not sure it is the way this guy is explaining it, but there is more to come and 70 A.D. did not fulfill it all. With what is in verse 9:26 tells us that there is more then one Deselation that would happen to the Temple with these words, "Desolations are decreed." Desolations is plural not singular, so Antiochus Epiphanes was one of the Desolations, with Titus being another and with wars still being with us we know that there is more to come.
From everything I have read Titus never made a covenant with the Jews and he never made himself God either, so there is one still to come. We see no Temple now, with that I will say that the Reformers did not see the state of Israel either and made a conclusion that Israel would never be a state again, but we can see that God brought the Jews back to the land He promised their fathers. The thing that I find a bit funny is there are people that will not can the State of Israel, Israel they call it Palestine because they believe that the Church has taken the place of Israel, so the land is not Israel we are.
I just do not get it, the people that do this believe in the sovereignty of God in salvation, yet can not see His sovereignty in preservring the Jewish people for over 1800 years and retruning them to the land that the Lord promised to the forefathers. If you cannot see the sovereignty of God in the Jewish people keeping their idenity, culture, religion and language for that amount of time and can not see the Lord in it. Is someone who has let their doctrine over ride what is before their eyes.
