I have posted this post and so now I win if you have a problem with call 1-800-Oh Well and complain to the "Get Over It" department and then maybe just maybe I'll step aside or not after all I'm from the "I Don't Care" society so I win anyways!
When I was young my parents taught me the "Now I lay me down to sleep...etc)" prayer, and at the end of it I would say, "bless - Mommy and Daddy and uncle so and so and the barber and the milk man," and every name I could think of just so I didn't have to go to sleep yet. Smile ... So, this comment reminded me of my "eternal prayer" as long as my memory held out to produce new names.
However, one of the great things about putting childish things aside as an adult is when I thought as a child I explored my imagination of the unknown; Whereas adulthood relishes in the facts of Christ in me. I am pleased the milk man got prayed for back then, but my motive was, in reality, to stay awake in a sneaky way I thought my parents would never discern, (Yeah, right! My parents were smarter than that...LOL ) .
This thread is imagination set in motion for sure; which is fun, but I am grateful to God for His revelations of truth and reality first and foremost, now I never confound eternal life with immortality. I win, not really for the fact I scripted last, but that I understand now as an adult that Eternal life has reference to the quality of life, not to its duration. Eternal Life is the Life of Jesus exhibited when He was here on earth, with neither time nor eternity in it, because it is the life of God Himself. This is why I win - because I have received God thru Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Sorry, too deep for morning chatter? I couldn't help myself, I just came out of prayer - and had my coffee. What's a man to do?.
