For those concerned about eternal security, no need to be concerned, "nothing shall separate us from the Love of Christ.
As long as we don't reject the Holy Spirit to become filled with violence, in the example of Judas. For those saying that Judas was not saved, "Have I not chosen you 12 and one of you is a devil (divided spirit). Jesus also addressed peter similarly "Get behind me devil." Just to make sure I covered all the bases (is there a catcher out there). 12 years ago the Lord told me: Enter in as a little child and put away your divided spirit. Could I reject the Holy Spirit, No I asked the Lord years ago to make it impossible for me to go my own way: whom He Loves He disciplines and commands us to repent. "Kept by the power of God.
Judas was never saved and eternal life means eternal life......not temporary or conditional........

Good works are not required for salvation. Good works are as result of salvation.

Salvation is by faith.
I have had many a conversation with unbelievers who reject Jesus yet say "if there is a God (and most believe the is a God)
Their hope is my good works outweigh the bad ones. Yet they do not realise the good works are actually bad works. Send gain and reciprocate.

We are saved by faith to do good works not the other way around.
Amen Bill the simplicity found in Christ

Luke 6:46-49, “But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say? “Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My words and is doing them, I shall show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood came, the stream burst against that house, but was unable to shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But the one hearing and not doing, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream burst, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

He ignores paul. You saw it i brought it up 4 times yesterday and he maybe commented on them once, if that was a comment at all. I am done with him. He better never say he does not teach works again though. If he does, after the past few days, we have enough Amo to pounce on him. Although I will not see it, Again, I am done. He can take his law twisted gospel and go someplace else. It is in Gods hands now

I have right to stand before the righteous Judge, He will decide if I am fit to enter or not, It is not my choice or right to declare.

James 1:12, “Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.”

1 Corinthians 4:4-5, “For I know nothing by myself; yet by this I am not justified, for He Who judges me is יהוה! Therefore, judge nothing before the time. Wait until Yahshua comes, Who will bring to light the things hidden in darkness, and will reveal the secret intentions of men's hearts; and then each man will receive praise from יהוה.”

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

Hebrews 10:36, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of Yah you may receive what is promised.”

Hebrews 3:14, “For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end.”

James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him."

Jeremiah 17:10, “I, יהוה, search the heart, I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

Luke 11:28, “But He said, “Blessed rather are those hearing the Word of Yah and watching over it!”

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

Matt 13:41-43, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

judgment seat” is word #G968 - béma: a step, raised place, by impl. A tribunal, Original Word: βῆμα, ατος, τό, Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter, Transliteration: béma, Phonetic Spelling: (bay'-ma), Short Definition: the space covered by a step of the foot, a tribunal, Definition: an elevated place ascended by steps, a throne, tribunal.

John 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have done* righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced* evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

Psalm 9:7-8, “But יהוה abides forever, He is preparing His throne for judgment. And He judges the world in righteousness, He judges the peoples in straightness.”

Isaiah 66:15-16, “For look, יהוה comes with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His displeasure with burning, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword יהוה shall judge all flesh, and the slain of יהוה shall be many.”

Hebrews 10:26-31, “For if we sin purposely after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice offering for sins, but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents. Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of YHWH underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favor? For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay, says יהוה.” And again, “יהוה shall judge His people. It is fearsome to fall into the hands of the living Father.”

Revelation 19:11-16, “And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights. And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה. And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Strength Almighty. And on His robe and on His banner He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS."

Hebrew 5:9, “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”

1 Samuel 12:24, “Only fear יהוה, and you shall serve Him in truth with all your heart, for consider what marvels He has done for you."

Romans 2:4, “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and tolerance, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of YHWH leads you to repentance?”

Jeremiah 9:23-26, “Thus said יהוה, “Let not the wise boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty boast in his might, nor let the rich boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am יהוה, doing loving-commitment, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” declares יהוה, “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall punish all circumcised with the uncircumcised; Mitsrayim, and Yehuḏah, and Eḏom, and the children of Ammon, and Mo’aḇ, and all those trimmed on the edges, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Yisra’ĕl are uncircumcised in heart!”

Isaiah 40:28, "Did you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting Strength, יהוה, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable."

Isaiah 60:16, "“And you shall suck the milk of the nations, and shall suckle the breast of sovereigns. And you shall know that
I,
יהוה, your Savior and your Redeemer, am the Mighty One of Ya‛aqoḇ."

The difference between Peter and Judas is that Judas NEVER acknowledged Jesus as Lord, the Messiah, the Son of God. Whereas Peter did.

I think Jesus was talking DIRECTLY to satan when He said to get behind Him. Satan was likely standing right beside Peter, and Jesus could see him, whispering in Peter's ear to tell Jesus He didn't have to go to the cross. Yet another temptation attempt by satan.

Scripture says satan actually ENTERED Judas.

this conversation had me reading 2 Peter, and i wanted to draw attention to something:

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
(2 Peter 2:20)

they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

they have escaped the world by the knowledge of Jesus Christ, Lord and Saviour.

by knowledge of Jesus they have escaped the defilements of the world.

by knowledge of Jesus.
they have escaped.

'
knowledge' is not a physical process. it's not a behaviour. it's not an action that's taken or refrained from.
behaviour is informed by knowledge, but knowledge itself is a spiritual property, not a '
work' - knowledge is a firm form of belief - as faith. they heard, and believed, and by this escaped defilement.

that's pretty awesome, right? how great a Saviour! to know Him is eternal life :)

New International Version 1984 Luke 8:8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “HE WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR LET HIM HEAR.”

New International Version 1984 Matthew 13:13-15 This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

New International Version 1984 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

New International Version 1984 John 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

New International Version 1984 John 8:47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

The law is for the lawless.....those in Christ by faith have been justified from the law and are no longer condemned by it nor under it.......GRACE SUPERCEEDS LAW
====================================================

Yes, Grace super-cedes our works for Jesus, but we soon learn that they just go hand and hand,
for when our Saviour calls us, He is calling to do great and wonderful works for Him and for others,
this becomes our life, especially since we know that only by His Grace and Holy Sacrifice are we
enlightened by this and ccounted to belong to Him...

even wonder WHY this is such a stigma for those who profess to love and serve, especially
since most NEVER CLAIM to be SAVED by WORKS???

we have witnessed what a mess this has become among the brethren, and it truly is
dis-heartening...

What many fail to understand is that salvation is not embellished, helped, gained, kept or finished off with any work or works and that which they push equates to a works based salvation....the bible is clear...it is faith that justifies and saves a man before God.....A ONE OFF ETERNAL EVENT WITH PRESENT CONTINUING RESULTS....NOT ONE WORK OR PIECE OF FRUIT can be produced by anyone unless they have already been placed into the vine by salvation and faith......and the reason WORKS DO NONE OF THE ABOVE IS BECAUSE JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF ANY FRUIT OR WORK THRU US DIA FAITH AND AS A LIVING SACRIFICE.....Grace or works....one or the other......not both....end of story!
