What is “the day of the Lord" / “the "\Day of YHWH" Is it Sunday?

Is it when YHWH's wrath is poured out upon the earth and it's inhabitants?

Or is it something else completely?

The term “the day of the Lord" / “the Day of YHWH" is used among believers to mean different things, but what is it really?
Day English translation from Hebrew yom. It's meaning changes based on the context used

According to the Englishman’s Hebrew Concordance there are over 58 different ways "yom" has been translated in the King James Bible

"Yom" can refer to a variety of time periods ranging from “forever” (Ps 23:6), “age” (Gen 18:11), “years” (I Kings 1:1), “always” (Deut 5:29), & “season” (Jos 24:7)

From the context of Gen 1 & 2, there are 3 different ways Moses used this word. The word "yom" refers to day as in “daylight” (12 hours) in Gen 1:5, to 24-hour days in Gen 1:14, & to a long period of time (“in the day” referring to all six of the preceding creation days) in Gen 2:4

In the case of this post. I believe the meaning of the much anticipated Day of Lord is found here:

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Psalm 90:1 (A Prayer of Moses the man of God.) Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Wonderful post, righty divided. The only thing I would slightly disagree on is Scripture does not call the ingathering of the children of YHWH by Yahshua/Jesus "The day of Christ" but rather the Feast of Trumpets:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation. For if we believe that יהושע died and rose again, so also Yah shall bring with Him those who sleep in יהושע. For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Yah, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. So, then, encourage one another with these words."

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, “Death is swallowed up in overcoming. O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?”

Mat 24:29-31, “And immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Minor , but great use of Scripture to notice that those chosen will be gathered before the wrath of YHWH is executed by Yahshua, called "the day of YHWH"/Feast of Atonement seems to contain this recompense.

Psalm 59:16, "And I, I sing of Your power; And in the morning I sing aloud of Your loving-commitment; For You have been my strong tower And a refuge in the day of my distress."

Hello Hizikyah,
First thank you, for the power rating.

We don't disagree on the final ingathering of the children of Israel. I see 3 gatherings/harvests, the 1st already happened. At Christ's resurrection:

Matthew 27:52 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

I believe the Body of Christ will be caught-up (1 Thes 4:16:17 not the last trump blown by an angel. It say's the trump of God) on a Pentecost soon to come. Pentecost the main Harvest, the book of Ruth where a God believing gentile is redeemed. Two wave loafs WITH leaven. Jew & Gentile believers.

After the Body of Christ is taken. The dispensation of grace is over. The message reverts back to the Gospel of the Kingdom - ALL JEWISH. Daniel's 70th week begins.

The 3rd harvest/gathering: The remnant: every Jew that survives the Great Trib or the Time of Jacob/Israels trouble. WILL BE SAVED Rom 11:26.

Yeshua Ha Mashiach will then walk across the Kidron Valley. Enter Jerusalem through the Eastern Gate (KINGS GATE) Where he will rule & reign from the House of David for 1000 years. Praise, Glory & Honor to the King of Kings & the Lord of Lords. Amen

I agree about the saints that arose when Yahshua was resurrected, also the Firstfruits being the 144k:

1 Corinthians 15:20-23, “But now Messiah has been raised from the dead, and has become the first-fruit of those having fallen asleep. For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a Man. For as all die in Aḏam, so also all shall be made alive in Messiah. And each in his own order: Messiah, the first-fruits, then those who are of Messiah at His coming,”

Revelation 14:1-5, “And I looked and saw a Lamb standing on Mount Tsiyon, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s Name written upon their foreheads. And I heard a voice out of the heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder, and I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a renewed song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders. And no one was able to learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. They are those who were not defiled with women, for they are maidens. They are those following the Lamb wherever He leads them on. They were redeemed from among men, being first-fruits to יהוה and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no falsehood, for they are blameless before the throne of יהוה.”

I disagree about the different dispensations and that the trumpets in
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, Mat 24:29-31are different/not the final Trumpet, 1 Thess says Trummpet of Yah, but 1 Cor and Mat 24 show the same but called "the last trumpet" and "trumpet";

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “..the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Yah, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master..."

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed...”

Mat 24:29-31, “...He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Seventh Trumpet;

Revelation 11:15-19, "And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!”And the twenty-four elders sitting before יהוה on their thrones fell on their faces and worshipped יהוה, saying, “We give You thanks, O יהוה Strength Almighty, the One who is and who was and who is coming, because You have taken Your great power and reigned. And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets and to the set-apart ones, and to those who fear Your Name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth. And the Dwelling Place of יהוה was opened in the heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His Dwelling Place. And there came to be lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.”

Minor thing, and overall I am impressed by your understanding, you are a true student of His wor indeed! Yah has certianly blessed you with understanding! Sincerely glory to Yah for His people!
