I remember the last time GOP posted this thread... It's a good topic, but yes, I tend to be someone who goes against the grain. I'm more into going out and meeting people where they're at rather then expecting them to somehow polish themselves up and come to us.
I'm not saying Christians should go to nightclubs on a regular basis, but the few times I did go, I'd usually wind up talking to someone about life, death, and God.
A church I was in wanted to start a ministry of going to local places (restaurants, hangouts, pubs) and just sit and have dinner and offer a listening ear and a prayer if they wanted... No pressure and no cheap sales gimmicks. Unfortunately, it never got off the ground, but I would have jumped at the chance to participate because the casual approach is more my style.
