Just gave the ducks some breakfast. They flew away last night like they usually do, but came back a few minutes later and stayed out here on the river all night. Maybe they can't fly in freezing rain? I dunno... lol

BTW I do have a job but I know the struggle. While it ma have came out harsh, I was riled up after reading some comments online, I've read countless before and I just needed to vent.

Looking outside, I see that we got 1-2 inches of snow over night where I live in Missouri. That would probably just be considered a dusting in Vermont.

I'm going out of town today with my son & my daughter-in-law Melita to her sister's house. It's her family's tradition to celebrate together on Christmas eve. I'm really looking forward to seeing her parents again. They are such a sweet, awesome couple! ❤

Thank you so much - I was so busy yesterday with the family Christmas party that I couldn't think. Then right in the middle of things my daughter, Melisa comes outside where the rest of us were with a present in hand and says - Today is my Mom's Birthday while I'm trying to get her to stop cause I didn't want the day about me or anyone to feel obligate to bring a gift. They all wished me a Happy Birthday with a nice round of the Happy Birthday To You song.... and we carried on with the party.

Thank you Magenta. The party was wonderful all had a good time. The only issue is that I'm not as young as I used to be and am pretty sure my blood pressure shot up at the end of a busy day and unfortunately had to go to bed early leaving Tourist to keep them company after 9pm. My body said enough and I had to go lay down. I told them that I was sorry and didn't want to leave but needed to go lay down.... I think all the prep before hand also just got to me and body said enough.

They understood and we all including me had a wonderful time.

Thank you Magenta. The party was wonderful all had a good time. I know that feeling of utter exhaustion. It is always best to listen to your body and rest when it is needed. I am glad that everyone had a nice time Isn't tourist's birthday coming soon, too? Is it in January? Mine is in February and then we will all be the same age again

Saw some snow pictures earlier and there is one of our old farm in Cabot VT shortly after my folks purchased it in 1952 that I thought you might find interesting. Top right picture. This isn't the one I thought would come up. Not much snow in this one.
