It is understandable that most Christians think that homosexuality is wrong according to the scriptures. However, homosexual people do exist in great numbers in this country. Do they have rights that should be protected?

Because we are a Democracy here and not the Theocracy; Yes. But as a Christian we have a responsibility to live and thereby promote GOD'S standards through Christ. Any sin including Homosexuality is not part of that.

Yes they have rights in some nations.. But it is up to the particular authority that has been allowed to rule over then that decide what rights they can and cannnot have...

You will have to go into specific examples of rights.. Your question as it is now is way to general..

In the USA, Should gays have the right to marry or have a legal union? Should people be able to refuse services to someone who is gay or suspect to be? Hotel room or service?

Some who say yes will always run into those who say no... USA can tell any owner they are wrong or right. Unfortunately if you want to own something you have to obey some land laws..

Technically, in the United States, and atleast my state, Virginia, no one has a right to get married. The states regulate it.

The question should be, why is the government involved in marriage at all?

The court is about to decide that based on the gay couple and the baker.

Everyone wants to call out gays... What about liars, adulterers?

It's so annoying.. God gave no mandate to shut them down from living life.

He's aware they are gay and still makes it rain.

You want to live in the land of the sinner and tell them what they can't do or have... That's the issue.. Israel lived as separate people. Self supporting.

I do not agree about them being allowed to marry (like in some states, and here in germany)
I do noz believe that services should be rejected unless it is something like giving them into wedding.
I could never marry off a gay couple but i would have no problem to cook for them or something like that. They still are human. If they need clothes on their back i will help gay people just as much as any other.

Classic example of cleaning the outside of the cup and not the inside!!

You care about what is seen and want it to go away while never addressing internal issues or ones not as obvious.

Don't want to interact? Then move..

Cut off the hand that keeps you in sin.. give up some things so it's possible.. if not possible then you get stamped with the stamp " contender of the faith"

Hardship, persecution... We want our comforts while we complain.. if honoring God is so important why are more complaining sinners won't change than giving up what keeps them connected?

I agree. I couldn't care less.
Everyone deserves legal rights, provided everyone involved are consenting adults .
Imagine a couple who has been together for years and one of them passes. Marriage gives the the surviving spouse legal right to all the assets they built together. Same-sex couples should have that same right

If Christians pulled their support out of all these companies/events etc do you know the message it would send?

But no, We buy our Starbucks and complain.. go on vacation and complain.. buy clothes designed by gays and complain they can get married..

We want all the comforts, gadgets sinners have to offer and then demand they be reprimanded for going against God's desire.

Who do you think you are? God told His people not to mingle. It's OK for you because you "need" that phone.. says who? Your ideal fatten calf lifestyle!!

Make your own clothes, have items that do basics to survive then show true honor and what it is to be separate.. until then, you are no different...

These topics ooze ignorance

A trust can do the same thing. I say no more government licensed marriages.
